The marquee addition is Generative Remove, a feature powered by Adobe’s AI image generator “Firefly.” Here’s where the magic happens: users simply select unwanted objects in their photos, and Lightroom takes care of the rest. The AI analyzes the background, intelligently guesses what lies behind the object, and seamlessly fills the empty space. The result? The second AI-powered upgrade focuses on background blurring. The new Lens Blur feature offers a range of presets, eliminating the need for manual parameter adjustments. Users simply choose the preset that best suits their creative vision, and Lightroom applies the blur effect automatically, taking care of the tedious work. Both Generative Remove and Lens Blur are now live, helping photographers of all levels to achieve professional-looking edits with the help of artificial intelligence.
