While the Oppo Find X7 series only launched a few months ago, rumors of its successor, the Find X8 series, are already swirling. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared some details about the upcoming series in a post on Weibo.

According to DCS, the Find X8 Ultra will debut next year, and clarified this year’s “strongest imaging flagship” from Oppo is the Find X7 Ultra.

Although the post didn’t provide specific details about the Find X8 phones, the tipster revealed in the comments that the Find X8 and X8 Pro will feature a glass back.

Also in another comment, the tipster notes that the Oppo Find X8 phones may have one model with a flat screen and another with a 2.7D curve on all four sides.

Another insider from Weibo previously hinted that both the Find X8 and Pro model will be powered by Dimensity 9400 chipset. The top-tier Ultra model will however have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, according to rumors.

Earlier today, a separate leak suggested that the Find X8 series might have a 6000mAh battery, larger than the 5000mAh battery of the Find X7 phones. Another leak suggested that the devices might be officially announced sometime in October.

Additionally, there were mentions of the Xiaomi 15 and Vivo X200 phones launching in October. Qualcomm is expected to unveil its Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 flagship chip in October, and MediaTek is likely to announce the Dimensity 9400 around the same time. Smartphone manufacturers are in for race to be the first powered by these new SoCs.
