Vivo is gearing up to launch the Vivo V50 smartphone in India. The brand has already released the first teaser of the phone and is expected to launch it in the third week of February. Meanwhile, a poster that surfaced on Feb. 1 and is now circulating on social media mentions that the V50 will debut in 17 days, suggesting a Feb. 18 launch date.

As per reports, the Vivo V50 will be a modified version of the Vivo S20, which will debut by the end of 2024 in China. The V50 is expected to flaunt a 6.67-inch AMOLED micro-quad-curved screen offering a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to run on Android 15 and Funtouch OS 15.
Under the hood, the Vivo V50 reportedly features Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, 8 GB / 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a massive 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. It may feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus support on the front. It is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens on the back. It is likely to feature an IP68/69-rated chassis and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. As far as pricing is concerned, it is likely to be priced at Rs 37,999 for the base model.
