Samsung March 2025 security update

Samsung has been busy with One UI 7 beta expansion to older Galaxy devices. However, older devices running the previous version are receiving the latest security fixes via the March 2025 security patch. The update is already available to many flagship Galaxy devices and should expand to more devices in the coming days and weeks.

This is not an interesting update as it doesn’t bring any new features or visual changes, but it certainly is an important one that fixes dozens of vulnerabilities to improve the overall device security, making it safer than before. Below is a list of Galaxy devices that are getting the March 2025 security patch update.

March 2025 security update is rolling out to these Galaxy devices

  • Galaxy S24
  • Galaxy S24+
  • Galaxy S24 Ultra
  • Galaxy S23
  • Galaxy S23+
  • Galaxy S23 Ultra
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6
  • Galaxy Z Flip 6
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • Galaxy Z Flip 4
  • Galaxy A55

As you might already know, the update doesn’t reach all Galaxy devices in one go. Instead, it’s rolled out gradually. So, if your device is on the above list but still there’s no update on your device, check for new updates again in a few days.

To check new updates on your Samsung Galaxy, go to Settings > Software updates and tap the Download and install option. Before you hit the install button, make sure to back up your important data — it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
