Huawei’s Watch 5 has been spotted on the UAE’s TDRA certification database, indicating a nearing launch. The standard model, listed as SOC-AL00 (registration ER42369/25), is classified under “GSM Module,” confirming support for cellular connectivity via GSM networks. This allows standalone calling, messaging, and mobile data access without a smartphone.

Huawei Watch 4 Pro Space Exploration Edition launched

The certification does not disclose additional specifications, but earlier leaks suggest the Watch 5 series will launch in six color options and run on HarmonyOS NEXT. Improvements in battery life and health-tracking features are expected compared to older models like the Watch 4 series. Huawei may unveil the wearable at a summer event alongside other products.

While design specifics remain unclear, Huawei claims the Watch 5 will adopt a sleeker aesthetic. The UAE listing points to an initial regional release, though global availability is unconfirmed. We can take a look at its predecessor, the Huawei Watch 4, to get a better idea of what to expect from the upcoming smartwatch.

Huawei Watch 4 features

Launched in May 2023, the Huawei Watch 4 features a 1.5-inch AMOLED display with a 466 x 466 pixels screen resolution and a 310 PPI pixel density. Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

For health and fitness, the watch includes a heart rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, ECG, skin temperature tracking, stress monitoring, an arterial stiffness indicator, and respiratory health data. It provides a one-minute seven-point health overview and supports over 100 workout modes, an AI running coach, and fall detection with an instant SOS feature.
