Honor held a major product launch event in China where it introduced multiple new devices, including the Honor X70 smartphone with a massive 8,300mAh battery, the Earbuds A Pro, and MagicBook X Plus series laptops. Among the highlights of the event was the debut of the performance-oriented Honor Pad GT 2 Pro, a gaming tablet packed with flagship-grade specifications and enhancements aimed at high-frame-rate gaming.

The Honor Pad GT 2 Pro is equipped with a 12.5-inch LCD panel with up to 165Hz refresh rate and 3K reosltuion. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, it is designed to deliver smooth gameplay, especially in compatible titles like CrossFire: Gunfight King, which can run at native 165fps on the tablet. The GPU performance is supported by what Honor refers to as the “Phantom Engine.” Additionally, it features a large internal cooling system that includes a graphene layer to manage heat under heavy loads.

The tablet has up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. There’s an 8-speaker setup enhanced for spatial audio with IMAX certification. The Pad GT 2 Pro supports stylus and keyboard accessories and comes with a 10,100mAh battery with 66W fast charging.

The Honor Pad GT 2 Pro’s other specifications have not been revealed yet. Lastly, the device weighs 532 grams and has a slim profile of 5.99mm.

Honor Pad GT 2 Pro price, availability

The Honor Pad GT 2 Pro is currently limited to the Chinese market and is available in two colour options: Ice Crystal White and Phantom Gray. Pricing is as follows: 8GBRAM+128GB for 2,499 Yuan (~$349), 8GB+256GB for 2,699 Yuan (~$377), 12GB+256GB for 2,999 Yuan (~$419), and 16GB+512GB for 3,399 Yuan (~$474).
