The latest compact gaming tablet from Red Magic has finally begun rolling out in the global market. So far, the Red Magic Astra was available for a long pre order period, and now, it is available for purchase in regions like the US, Europe, and other markets. So here are all the details.

Red Magic Astra: What do you get for 499 Euros?

The Chinese brand unveiled the Red Magic Astra globally back at the start of last month. It sports a 9.06-inch OLED display offering a 2400 x 1504 resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, up to 1600 nits of peak brightness, 5280Hz PWM dimming, and TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light and flicker-free viewing. Under the hood, this tablet is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset that is paired with up to 25GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage.

Out of the box, the gaming tablet runs on the Android 15 OS based RedMagic OS 10.5 custom skin, with the Cube Game Engine. A sizeable 8,200mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 80W wired fast charging. The company also offers bypass charging, which keeps the temperature in check during long gaming sessions. For audio, there is a dual stereo speaker setup with spatial audio support. Other notable features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2, and a side mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Red Magic Astra is available in three configurations globally:

  • 12GB + 256GB: $549/€499/£439
  • 16GB + 512GB: $699/€649/£559
  • 24GB + 1TB: $899/€849/£739

It is available in two color options, namely Eclipse Black and Starfrost Silver.
