Motorola is reportedly working on an X-series flagship phone for China. While the official moniker of the device is not known, it could be called the Moto X70 Ultra in the Chinese market. This phone may get rebranded as the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra globally. The said device meant for the Chinese market has surfaced on Geekbench, revealing key details about its internals.
Moto X70 Ultra Geekbench listing

As per the Geekbench listing, an upcoming Motorola phone with model number XT2603-1 has emerged in Geekbench’s database. The listing reveals that it is powered by a Qualcomm chip that comprises six cores operating at 3.32GHz and two performance cores clocked at 3.65GHz. For graphics, it is equipped with the Adreno 829 GPU.
There is a possibility that the above chipset could be the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. However, readers should note that the above specs are a bit different from a recent leak that claimed that its two cores operate at 3.65GHz and that it has the Adreno 840 GPU for graphics.
A recent report claimed that Motorola is gearing up to launch the X70 Ultra (China) / Edge 70 Ultra (global) equipped with the said chipset. The above device with the XT2603-1 model number — here, the number “1” denotes the Chinese variant — may carry the Moto X70 Ultra branding in China.
The Geekbench listing further reveals that the Moto X70 Ultra has 16GB of RAM and Android 16. It has scored 2,634 in the single-core test and 7,475 points in the multi-core test.
Motorola Edge 70 Ultra specifications (rumored)

The Moto X70 Ultra / Edge 70 Ultra is expected to feature an OLED panel that supports a 1.5K resolution. Its rear camera setup is expected to feature a periscope telephoto camera. The rest of its specifications are under wraps.
Considering that the Moto X70 Ultra has already appeared on Geekbench and is possibly being tested internally for performance, its arrival may not be far away. Likely, it may debut before the end of this year in China. Its global sibling, the Edge 70 Ultra, may debut in the first half of 2026 globally.
Motorola did not release the Moto X60 Ultra / Edge 60 Ultra. Therefore, the X70 Ultra / Edge 70 Ultra will be the successors to last year’s X50 Ultra / Edge 50 Ultra.
