Huawei recently held its Global Innovative Product Launch event in Paris, introducing the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series, WATCH Ultimate 2, and an updated version of the WATCH D2. The updated model, called the WATCH D2 Blue Edition, is priced at £349.99 in the UK, which is £30 more than the black and gold versions launched last year.

Huawei WATCH D2 Blue Edition
The HUAWEI WATCH D2 Blue Edition is identical to the earlier launched WATCH D2 variants, focuses on medical-grade health and fitness monitoring. It supports ambulatory blood pressure monitoring over 24 hours, as well as single and recurring reminders for regular checks. Users can schedule measurements and view detailed reports with data such as average systolic and diastolic values, daytime and nighttime readings, and pulse rates. The device meets the European Society of Hypertension guidelines for ABPM and is CE-MDR-certified as a medical device.

The watch uses Huawei’s TruSense system, which combines a high-precision pressure sensor, a mini pump, and a 26.5 mm inflatable airbag built into the strap. The 1.82-inch AMOLED display has a resolution of 480 × 408 pixels, 347 PPI, and 1500-nit peak brightness. The case is made of aluminum alloy, and the watch measures 48 × 38 × 13.3 mm. It weighs about 40 g without the strap and is available in Blue, Black, and Gold with fluoroelastomer or leather strap options.

The WATCH D2 provides up to 10 health indicators through the Health Glance feature, including cardiovascular, respiratory, and emotional health metrics. It also offers Pulse Wave Arrhythmia Analysis and an on-wrist ECG function that generates reports after 30-second measurements. Additional functions include continuous heart rate monitoring, stress tracking, SpO₂ measurement, skin temperature monitoring, and sleep analysis that detects abnormal breathing.
Fitness support includes more than 80 exercise modes, automatic recognition for six common activities, and GNSS positioning. Lifestyle features include Bluetooth calling, screenshot capture, NFC support, and customisable cards. The watch works with Android 8.0 and later, as well as iOS 13.0 and later.
Battery life lasts up to six days with typical usage, or one day with ABPM enabled. Wireless charging is supported. The watch is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance but is not suitable for swimming or activities involving high water pressure or prolonged immersion.
Buyers also receive a free three-month subscription to Huawei Health+, which provides guided workouts, meditation sessions, and personalised wellness plans.
