DJI has been ruling the pocket camera market with almost no real competition. Its Osmo Pocket series has become the go-to tool for vloggers, travelers, and content creators who want smooth, high-quality video in a compact package.

Now, Insta360 wants a share of that market, and its latest attempt at it is the new Insta360 Luna Ultra. Announced recently, the camera directly targets Osmo Pocket users. Here’s everything you need to know about how these two cameras stack up.

What Are These Cameras?

Before diving into the details, let’s quickly explain what each camera is.

The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is DJI’s latest compact gimbal camera. It sits on a small handheld stick with a motorized gimbal that keeps footage smooth and stable, even while you are walking or moving. It has a built-in touchscreen and is designed for people who want to shoot great video without carrying heavy gear.

The Insta360 Luna Ultra is Insta360’s answer to that, and then some. It is the company’s first dedicated gimbal camera made in partnership with the famous camera brand Leica. Insta360 says this camera is not just another pocket camera. It is a step up in almost every way, designed for creators who want more power, more flexibility, and better image quality.

Design and Build

Both cameras follow a similar design. They have a small body with a gimbal camera on top. But the Luna Ultra adds some clever tricks.

The Luna Ultra features a detachable 2-inch OLED touchscreen. What makes this special is that you can remove the screen and use it as a remote control from up to 20 metres away. This is a huge deal for solo creators who film themselves. Instead of walking back to check your framing every few minutes, you can just glance at the remote in your hand. 

The Osmo Pocket 4 also has a 2-inch OLED screen, but it stays fixed to the camera body. It can flip between horizontal and vertical orientations, which is handy for quickly switching between landscape and portrait video.

Both cameras are compact and lightweight enough to slip into a pocket or bag. The Luna Ultra weighs just over 200 grams. Neither camera is bulky, which is the whole point of this category.

Camera Specs and Video Quality

The Luna Ultra is built around a 1-inch sensor that can shoot 8K video at 30 frames per second. It has two lenses: a wide-angle lens with an f/1.8 aperture (which means it performs well in low light) and a dedicated telephoto lens with up to 12x zoom, including 6x lossless zoom. 

It also supports Dolby Vision recording, 10-bit video capture, and up to 14 stops of dynamic range, meaning it captures a lot of detail in both bright and dark areas of a scene.

The Leica partnership also means the Luna Ultra benefits from Leica’s color science, which is known for producing natural, accurate, and beautiful colors.

The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is also a capable camera, built on DJI’s years of experience in this space. It is a strong performer with its own stabilization and image processing technology. However, the standard Osmo Pocket 4 uses a single camera lens, while the Luna Ultra comes with a dual-lens system as standard. 

It is worth noting that DJI is expected to release a Pocket 4 Pro with a dual-lens system in the coming weeks, which would make the comparison more direct. But right now, the Luna Ultra already has the dual-camera advantage.

AI and Tracking Features

The Luna Ultra uses Deep Track 5.0, Insta360’s subject-tracking technology. This lets the camera automatically follow a person or object as they move through the frame. It also supports features like Active Zoom Tracking and Smart Framing, which adjusts the composition of your shot automatically.

The Osmo Pocket 4 uses DJI’s ActiveTrack system, which is also well-regarded and has been refined through several generations of DJI products. Both systems work in a similar way. You point the camera at your subject, tap to lock on, and the camera will keep them in frame as they move.

Moreover, the Luna Ultra has built-in wireless microphone integration, which means it is designed from the ground up to work seamlessly with wireless mics. 

Storage and Battery

The Luna Ultra comes with 47GB of internal storage and supports microSD cards up to 1TB. Insta360 claims the battery can last up to four hours. 

The Pocket 4 has 107GB of actual useable storage, while also supporting a 1TB microSD card. The battery can last about four hours, like Luna Ultra. 

Availability

The Luna Ultra is available right now, priced at $769 in the US, and comes in white or black.

The DJI Osmo Pocket 4, on the other hand, is not officially on sale in the US. In December 2025, the FCC (the US body that regulates electronics) blocked DJI from receiving equipment authorization. This means DJI cannot officially sell new products in the United States. US consumers who want a Pocket 4 would need to buy it through unofficial channels, which means no full warranty or ecosystem support.

This is a massive opening for Insta360. With DJI effectively blocked in the US, the Luna Ultra steps into a market with very little competition at this price point.

Outside the US, the Pocket 4 launched at around £445 in the UK, and DJI still has a strong presence in many global markets. But for US-based creators, the Luna Ultra is clearly the more practical and sensible choice right now.

Two of China’s biggest camera brands are now taking each other to court in the US. DJI filed not one but two lawsuits against Insta360 just days ago, on or around June 10, 2026. The target is Insta360’s newly launched Luna series of gimbal cameras, which DJI claims bear a little too much resemblance, both visually and technically, to their Osmo Pocket line. Both suits were filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

What exactly is DJI accusing them of?

The first lawsuit is about design patents. DJI is arguing that the Luna cameras look too similar to the Osmo Pocket 3: the slim handheld body, the distinctive neck connecting it to the gimbal arm, the rotating screen, the side ports, the bottom interface. Close enough, DJI says, to genuinely confuse buyers.

The second lawsuit goes deeper, targeting four utility patents covering the actual technology inside the cameras: things like how the gimbal switches between “lock mode” and “follow mode,” the subject tracking system, and how the display integrates with the gimbal in real time. DJI goes as far as saying Insta360 “blatantly copied” these inventions with full knowledge of the patents, which opens the door to enhanced damages for willful infringement.

As remedies, DJI is seeking a permanent ban on Luna product sales in the U.S., along with damages — at minimum a reasonable royalty, and potentially a full disgorgement of profits.

This is also not happening out of nowhere. Earlier in 2026, DJI was already pursuing patent ownership claims in China, tied to inventions allegedly developed by former DJI engineers who later joined Insta360. The tension between these two companies has been building for a while, and this US lawsuit is more of an escalation than a surprise.

Insta360 is expected to fight back. They’ve already signaled intentions to defend vigorously, including potential countersuits over their own IP in pocket gimbals and 360-degree imaging.

The outcome of these cases could influence how both companies approach product development and market strategy going forward, and may set broader precedents for cross-border IP disputes in the imaging industry.

DJI is a household name when it comes to drones and gimbals. The popular camera drone maker is now entering a new category with the new DJI POWER 140W GaN Charger. 

It is DJI’s first high-efficiency gallium nitride (GaN) charger that can charge multiple devices using fast charging standards.

DJI Power 140W GaN Charger Specifications

The charger has three output ports: two USB-C and one USB-A. According to DJI, both USB-C ports can deliver up to 140W of power, thanks in part to the PD 3.1 support, which also improves compatibility with modern digital devices.

The USB-A port supports up to 33W output and is suitable for smaller devices like earbuds or older phones.

Of course, power is distributed when multiple devices are connected. The DJI Power 140W uses dynamic power allocation to ensure stable charging across all ports. Even if a device is plugged in or removed, the other ports continue to deliver steady power without interruption.

DJI also mentions that priority charging is given to its own ecosystem devices when connected.

The charger is built using GaN technology, which improves power efficiency while keeping the size compact. It measures 68.3 mm × 32.2 mm × 64 mm and weighs about 245 grams. It also features a foldable plug design and built-in over-temperature protection to help prevent overheating during heavy use.

Along with the charger, DJI is also bundling a 7A digital display data cable. This cable includes a built-in E-Marker smart chip that shows real-time power, voltage, and current information. It supports up to 240W power handling and also allows USB 2.0 data transfer. The cable uses a braided design.

The new charger is priced at 209 yuan (~$30).

DJI has reached a surprisingly dominant position in Japan’s video camera market, with new sales data showing the company now controls more than 70% of the segment.

According to BCN Ranking data, DJI held a massive 72.5% share of Japan’s video camera market, marking the highest level the company has reached so far. For comparison, rival Insta360 reportedly accounted for around 12.5% during the same period.

A big part of that momentum appears to be coming from DJI’s Osmo Pocket lineup, especially the newly launched Osmo Pocket 4 and Pocket 4P. The compact gimbal camera only went on sale in late April, but it quickly climbed to the top of the sales rankings in Japan.

BCN says the standard Osmo Pocket 4 alone captured roughly 21.5% of all video camera sales in the country within just nine days of availability. Several other DJI models, including the Pocket 4P and older Pocket 3, also ranked near the top of the charts.

Interestingly, DJI’s rise seems to be boosting the broader market as well. Overall video camera sales volume in Japan reportedly jumped 158.1% year-over-year in April 2026, while total revenue increased by 135.2%.

The company’s success likely comes down to how well its products fit current content creation trends. Compact cameras with built-in stabilization have become increasingly popular among vloggers, travelers, and social media creators who want better video quality than smartphones without carrying large mirrorless setups.

The Osmo Pocket series in particular has carved out a strong niche by combining stabilized footage, simple controls, and relatively compact pricing in a device small enough to fit in a pocket.

DJI is still best known globally for drones, but over the past few years the company has been steadily expanding into creator-focused imaging products. The latest sales figures from Japan suggest that strategy is paying off in a major way, especially in a market traditionally dominated by long-established camera brands.

DJI may already be working on the next Air-series drone, and an early regulatory sighting suggests the company could be heading in a very different direction this time.

According to leaker Igor Bogdanov (@Quadro_News), a new listing spotted inside a Chinese compliance-related app references the DJI Air 4. More interestingly, the categorization shown in the app appears to place the drone in the sub-250g class. If that ends up being accurate, it would be a pretty major shift for the Air lineup.

For context, the current DJI Air 3S weighs around 724g, including the batteries, which puts it well above the lightweight Mini series. A sub-250g Air model would basically blur the line between DJI’s compact beginner drones and its more advanced enthusiast lineup.

In many regions, including parts of Europe, drones under 250g face fewer restrictions and simpler registration requirements. That’s one of the biggest reasons DJI’s Mini series has become so popular among casual users and travelers.

The Air series, meanwhile, has traditionally focused more on higher-end imaging and advanced flight features. So if DJI really manages to combine Air-series capabilities with a sub-250g body, it could end up being a pretty compelling middle ground.

This also isn’t the first time the Air 4 has surfaced. Earlier this year, photos of what was reportedly a crashed prototype appeared online, showing a redesigned body with additional sensors mounted around the frame. At the time, it was difficult to tell how far along development actually was, but the newer regulatory listing makes the project feel a lot more real.

The current Air 3S already includes a dual-camera system with a 1-inch primary sensor, a telephoto camera, omnidirectional obstacle sensing, and strong flight times. DJI will likely need to make some careful compromises if it wants to shrink the platform below 250g while keeping the Air branding meaningful.

Still, newer battery tech, lighter materials, and more compact sensors could make that possible. DJI has also been releasing products at a pretty aggressive pace lately, including the Osmo Pocket 4 lineup, Osmo Mobile 8P, Mic Mini 2, and the new Lito drones. So another major launch later this year honestly wouldn’t be surprising.

DJI is about to launch the most ambitious Pocket-series camera it has made so far. The company has officially confirmed the global debut of the Osmo Pocket 4P, scheduled for May 14 during the Cannes Film Festival in France. Pre-orders are already live through DJI’s website, and early hands-on units have started appearing through Chinese media outlets and creators ahead of the announcement.

The biggest change this time is the camera setup itself. For the first time in the Pocket lineup, DJI is adding a second lens. The Pocket 4P combines the familiar 1-inch primary sensor from the standard Osmo Pocket 4 with a dedicated 3x telephoto camera, reportedly sitting around a 70mm equivalent focal length.

That may not sound like a huge upgrade at first, but it actually changes the way the Pocket camera can be used. Older Pocket models were mostly limited to wide-angle shooting, which worked fine for vlogging but wasn’t always ideal for portraits, interviews, or tighter cinematic framing. Adding a telephoto lens makes the Pocket 4P noticeably more flexible without forcing creators to rely heavily on digital zoom. Reports also mention a variable aperture system (f/1.7-f/2.8) for the main camera, alongside up to 12x hybrid zoom and around 6x “lossless” zoom depending on the shooting mode.

Outside of the camera hardware, DJI seems to be refining the rest of the experience rather than redesigning everything. The Pocket 4P reportedly supports 10-bit D-Log recording, upgraded ActiveTrack 7.0 tracking, and a larger 2.5-inch rotating touchscreen with brightness reaching 1000 nits. Battery capacity is also said to increase to around 2000mAh for longer recording sessions.

And of course, the signature 3-axis mechanical stabilization system remains one of the main selling points. DJI also appears to be pushing ecosystem integration more heavily this generation, with tighter compatibility expected between the Pocket 4P and the company’s microphones, drones, and creator accessories.

Pricing hasn’t been officially revealed yet, but the Pocket 4P is expected to sit above the standard Pocket 4 in DJI’s lineup. Availability in the US is still uncertain as well, since some recent DJI launches have faced regulatory complications there.

The Pocket 4P isn’t trying to replace larger mirrorless cameras, but it does seem aimed at creators who want more framing flexibility and better image quality without carrying around a full camera setup all day.

DJI has officially unveiled the new Romo 2 series AI-powered robot vacuum and mop cleaners in China. The lineup includes the Romo P2 and Romo A2 models, focusing on smarter cleaning, advanced obstacle detection, and reduced manual maintenance. The company is positioning the new series as a premium smart home cleaning solution powered by AI and DJI’s spatial sensing technology.

The Romo 2 series comes with DJI’s upgraded AI cleaning system that can recognise different floor conditions and cleaning scenarios automatically. The robot can increase suction while cleaning carpets, detect liquid spills for targeted mopping, and intelligently navigate cluttered spaces without needing users to rearrange furniture beforehand.

DJI has equipped the Romo 2 lineup with a new obstacle avoidance system inspired by its drone technology. The setup combines laser radar sensors, fisheye vision cameras, and ToF sensing hardware to identify even small obstacles such as thin cables or pet pads. The system can also detect transparent objects like mirrors and glass surfaces. A built-in dirt-detection light helps the robot spot dust and obstacles in dark environments.

The cleaning hardware includes a radar-adaptive robotic arm capable of swinging up to 123 degrees for improved edge and corner cleaning. DJI says the new design can cover an additional 4.5cm area near walls compared to previous models. The Romo 2 series also features a powerful 36000Pa suction system with intelligent boost mode for carpets and deep dust removal. It supports 8.5cm dual-layer obstacle climbing and includes anti-tangle brush structures for hair management.

DJI has also focused heavily on automation and maintenance. The docking station supports high-temperature self-cleaning, multiple antibacterial features, hot-air drying, UV sanitisation, and automatic sewage cleaning. The robots additionally support voice control, remote video communication, dirt heatmaps inside the DJI Home app, and 55W fast charging.

DJI has launched four variants under the Romo 2 lineup in China:

DJI is preparing to take the Pocket series in a slightly different direction this year. After several teasers on Chinese social media, the company has now confirmed that the upcoming Osmo Pocket 4P, sometimes shortened to Pocket 4 Pro, will launch globally. And unlike previous Pocket models, this one is focusing heavily on zoom and more flexible shooting options.

The biggest addition is a dedicated telephoto camera

The Pocket 4P keeps the same 1-inch primary sensor introduced on the standard Osmo Pocket 4, but adds a secondary 3x telephoto lens to the setup. That may not sound revolutionary on paper, but for a compact gimbal camera like this, it’s actually a pretty meaningful change.

One of the biggest limitations of previous Pocket models was that everything had to be shot through a single wide-angle lens. It worked well for vlogging, but portraits, tighter framing, and cinematic shots often relied heavily on digital zoom or cropping. The new telephoto camera changes that.

Early hands-on clips from China suggest the telephoto lens sits around a 70mm equivalent focal length and may use a fairly large 1/1.5-inch sensor. Reports also mention up to 6x “lossless” zoom and 12x maximum zoom overall, which should make the camera much more versatile for travel videos, interviews, and street-style shooting.

Outside of the second camera, the Pocket 4P seems to build directly on the standard Pocket 4. That model already introduced a few major upgrades compared to the Pocket 3, including 240fps recording at 4K, upgraded ActiveTrack, and a brighter rotating display. The upcoming Pocket 4P keeps all of that while adding the extra telephoto hardware. And of course, the signature 3-axis mechanical gimbal is still here, which remains one of the biggest reasons people buy Pocket cameras in the first place.

DJI has been teasing the device with the slogan “See More, Tell More,” which is honestly a pretty accurate summary of what this model seems designed for.

The rollout appears to start in China before expanding globally later. DJI pages for the device have already surfaced in markets like Canada and Mexico. Availability in the US is less clear, though. Similar to some recent DJI products, the Pocket 4P is reportedly facing regulatory hurdles tied to FCC authorization, and at least for now, it doesn’t appear on DJI’s US website.

DJI has officially launched the Osmo Mobile 8P globally, and this time, the biggest upgrade is the new detachable remote. Announced on May 7, the Osmo Mobile 8P builds on the previous model with better tracking and a few smarter shooting tools, but the main focus is clearly giving solo creators more control when filming themselves.

The new remote, called Osmo FrameTap, comes bundled with every version of the gimbal. It’s a small magnetic touchscreen controller weighing around 29g, and it connects over Bluetooth with a range of up to 10 meters.

What makes it interesting is that it can display a live preview from the connected phone, letting users adjust framing remotely instead of constantly walking back to check shots. You can switch tracking subjects, control zoom and gimbal movement through an on-screen joystick, and even tweak fill light settings directly from the remote.

For Android users, DJI is also supporting direct phone screen mirroring on the controller itself. In practical terms, it means creators can use the rear camera for selfies or position the phone farther away while still keeping control of the shot. That kind of setup usually requires much more expensive gear, so it’s a fairly useful addition for vloggers and solo shooting.

Tracking has also been upgraded. DJI says the new ActiveTrack 8.0 system handles crowded environments more reliably, even when subjects move quickly or get briefly blocked from view. The optional Multifunctional Module 2 takes things further by expanding tracking beyond humans and pets to objects like vehicles or landmarks.

For iPhone users, there’s also Apple DockKit support, which allows native tracking directly inside compatible apps including the stock Camera app, YouTube, and Blackmagic Camera.

Outside of the new remote features, the Osmo Mobile 8P keeps most of the things people already expect from DJI’s smartphone gimbals. You still get 3-axis stabilization, a built-in extension rod, foldable tripod, and up to 10 hours of battery life under certain conditions.

The DJI Mimo app also adds a few extra shooting modes like DynamicZoom, Slow Shutter, and Action Shot, alongside 360-degree spin support for more stylized clips.

Pricing and availability

Pricing starts at €159 for the standard bundle, while higher-end kits with the Multifunctional Module 2 and microphone accessories go up to €219. One thing worth noting is that, similar to the previous generation, the Osmo Mobile 8P isn’t launching in the US.

DJI is getting ready to launch its next robot vacuum, the ROMO 2, on May 11. The biggest hints so far revolve around navigation and low-clearance cleaning.

An official teaser video suggests the ROMO 2 can slide under beds and sofas with very little space underneath, something many robot vacuums still struggle with. Another teaser suggests the vacuum can move around objects placed on the floor, without bumping into them. That likely points to improvements in obstacle detection and movement precision.

There are also hints at better mopping performance this time around, including quicker floor drying after cleaning, though DJI hasn’t officially detailed how that system works yet. For context, DJI only entered the robot vacuum space relatively recently with the first-generation ROMO lineup, which launched in China last year. Unsurprisingly, the company leaned heavily on its drone experience for things like navigation and sensing.

The original ROMO models used a combination of dual fisheye cameras and solid-state LiDAR for mapping and obstacle avoidance, helping them move through crowded spaces with very little manual intervention. Some versions even came with transparent design elements, giving them a more futuristic look than most robot vacuums on the market.

On the cleaning side, DJI advertised suction power up to 25,000Pa, alongside dual robotic arms for edge cleaning and anti-tangle roller brushes aimed at handling long hair more effectively. The docking station was also fairly ambitious, supporting self-cleaning and long maintenance intervals of up to 200 days. The ROMO 2 will likely build on most of that rather than completely changing direction.

At this point, full specs are still under wraps, but the quick follow-up launch suggests DJI is moving aggressively in this category. The company is clearly trying to position itself against established names like Roborock and Ecovacs, especially in the premium smart cleaning segment.

As usual, China will probably get the device first, with wider availability coming later if DJI follows the same rollout strategy as before.

DJI has officially launched the Mic Mini 2 globally, and while the new model brings a few expected upgrades, there is something more interesting tucked into the announcement. The company has quietly confirmed that a more capable version, the Mic Mini 2S, is on the way.

The Mic Mini 2 itself adds a few nice touches. There are new magnetic faceplates in different colors, vocal tone presets like Bright, Normal, and Rich, along with improved charging options and a basic two-level noise cancellation system. It feels like a refinement rather than a big jump.

The bigger news is what comes next. DJI says the Mic Mini 2S will launch sometime this summer, which likely means anywhere between June and September.

What makes the 2S version stand out is the feature set. It is expected to borrow a couple of key capabilities from the higher-end Mic 3, bringing them into a much smaller and more affordable package.

One of those is internal recording on each transmitter. That acts as a backup, so even if your camera or phone fails to capture audio, the recording is still saved directly on the mic. It is one of those features you do not always think about until you actually need it.

The other upgrade is support for up to four transmitters with a single receiver. That opens the door for recording multiple people at once without needing a more complex setup, which could be useful for interviews or small group recordings. DJI has not shared much beyond that. Details like design, pricing, and the full spec sheet are still under wraps for now.

Looking at the lineup, the positioning is starting to make sense. The Mic Mini series is aimed at creators who want something small and simple, while the Mic 3 sits at the top with more advanced features. The Mic Mini 2S seems to sit right in between, adding a bit more flexibility without losing the compact form factor.

DJI has launched the Mic Mini 2, a compact wireless microphone system for cameras, smartphones, computers, tablets, and DJI’s Osmo devices. The new model records 48kHz, 24-bit omnidirectional audio and focuses on cleaner voice capture, longer battery life, and wider device support.

The transmitter weighs about 11g without the clip or magnet and measures 28.58 x 28.04 x 13.52mm. It comes with a detachable, rotatable magnetic clip for easier positioning. The receiver weighs about 17.8g and measures 46.50 x 29.61 x 19.32mm. Both support GFSK 2Mbps wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, 2.4GHz to 2.4835GHz frequency, and less than 20dBm EIRP.

DJI has added Regular, Rich, and Bright voice presets, along with two-level noise cancellation for indoor and outdoor use. The Mic Mini 2 also supports automatic limiting, five-level gain control, and dual-track recording through the DJI Mimo app. Audio specifications include a 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response with low cut off, 100Hz to 20kHz with low cut on, 120dB SPL at 1% THD, 24dBA equivalent noise, and 20mW monitor output at 1kHz, 32 ohms.

Transmission range is rated at up to 400 meters with two transmitters and one receiver, up to 300 meters with the mobile receiver, and up to 200 meters in mixed mode. DJI OsmoAudio Direct Connection lets up to two transmitters connect directly to supported devices, including Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, and Osmo Action 6, without a receiver. The DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver also supports DJI Mic 3.

The transmitter has a 114mAh battery, runs for about 11.5 hours, and charges in around 70 minutes. The receiver has a 170mAh battery, lasts about 10.5 hours, and charges in around 100 minutes. A five-minute charge gives about one hour of use, while the charging case raises total backup to 48 hours.

DJI Mic Mini 2 is available through DJI’s official store and authorized retailers. Prices start at EUR 35 for one transmitter. Kits are priced at EUR 59 for 1TX + 1RX, EUR 59 for 1TX + 1 Mobile RX + case, EUR 79 for 2TX + 1 Mobile RX + case, EUR 99 for 2TX + 1RX + case, and EUR 114 for the 2TX + 1RX + case bundle with the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver. DJI is expanding its more affordable drone lineup with a new Lito series, aimed at beginners and casual users who want something easy to fly without giving up too much in terms of features. The focus here is to keep things simple, keep them portable, and still offer enough capability to make aerial photography worthwhile.

The lineup includes two models. The Lito 1 is positioned as the more accessible option, while the Lito X1 steps things up slightly with better hardware and more advanced safety features. Both are lightweight, coming in under 249 grams, and feature foldable designs that make them easy to carry around.

Both drones support DJI’s O4 transmission system, offering a stable 1080p video feed, and there is optional 4G support for better connectivity. Quick takeoff is another highlight, cutting down the wait time before you can actually start flying. They can also track and retrace flight paths in well-lit environments, which should help beginners feel a bit more confident.

Battery life is solid for the segment. The standard Intelligent Flight Battery is rated for up to 36 minutes, while an extended option can push that to around 52 minutes. The omnidirectional vision system actively avoids obstacles like cliffs, and walls, making the drones beginner-friendly. The Lito X1 also adds a forward-facing LiDAR sensor for improved depth sensing and more precise obstacle detection.

The Lito 1 uses a 1/2-inch 48MP sensor that can capture 8K photos and 4K/60fps video. The Lito X1, however, is where things get more interesting. It steps up to a larger 1/1.3-inch sensor (with the same resolution) and adds support for 4K/60fps HDR video, 4K/100fps slow-motion recording, and 10-bit D-Log M.

There are also plenty of software features like subject tracking, quick-shot modes, time-lapse, and panoramas. Taken together, the Lito series feels like a push to make entry-level drones a bit more capable, without making them harder to use.

Pricing and availability:

Pricing in China starts at 1,999 yuan for the Lito 1, with bundles going higher depending on the controller. In Europe, the Lito 1 is priced at €339, with the Fly More Combo (DJI RC-N3) at €479. The Lito X1 starts at 2,488 yuan in China, while European pricing begins at €419, going up to €579 for the Fly More Combo with the DJI RC 2 controller.

Both the drones are already available for order through where-to-buy and authorized retailers.

Now the Mic Mini 2S is teased, and it looks like it’s meant for a different crowd. DJI hasn’t shared everything yet, but from what’s been hinted so far, this is the version for people who need a bit more flexibility, especially when things get slightly more complex than a one-person setup.

One of the bigger changes is the multi-transmitter support. The Mic Mini 2S is said to use a four-transmitter, one-receiver setup, which basically means you can run up to four mics through a single receiver. For things like panel discussions or group shoots, that could make life a lot easier. No need to juggle multiple receivers or patch things together.

Then there’s internal recording, which wasn’t included in the Mic Mini. Each transmitter of the 2S can record audio on its own, using built-in storage. About a week ahead of its teased global reveal, the DJI Mic Mini 2 briefly appeared on DJI’s China website, revealing full details. The listing has since been taken down, so this isn’t an official global launch just yet. Still, the information is already out there, and it gives us a pretty clear look at what DJI is preparing.

Most bundles include a black and white faceplate by default, while the top-end kit gets the full set. It’s a small change, but it makes the mic a bit more fun to use on camera.

You get 48 kHz 24-bit recording, automatic anti-clipping, and basic noise cancellation with two levels. Battery life also looks similar, around 11.5 hours for the transmitter and 10.5 hours for the receiver, with up to 48 hours total when using the charging case.

There are three voice tone presets: Normal, Bright, and Rich. It’s a simple feature, but useful if you want to tweak how your voice sounds without editing later. It also supports 32-bit floating-point internal recording.

Pricing and availability:

Based on the now-removed listing, the Mic Mini 2 starts at CNY 179 (around $26) for just the transmitter. From there, it goes up to CNY 329 (~$48) for a basic transmitter and receiver combo, or the same price if you opt for a transmitter with a charging case instead. A more complete bundle with a charging case, one receiver, and two transmitters is listed at CNY 429 (~$63).

Going further up, configurations with additional transmitters are priced at CNY 599 (~$88) and CNY 698 (~$103). As for accessories, windscreens and magnetic faceplates are listed at CNY 99 (~$15), while special edition versions of the faceplates go for CNY 199 (~$29).

One thing that’s a bit uncertain is availability in the US. A version of the Mic Mini 2 had shown up in FCC filings earlier this year, but those listings have since disappeared. That’s similar to what happened with the Osmo Pocket 4, which didn’t launch in the US right away. So for now, it’s not clear if or when this one will make it there.

DJI has introduced the Power 1000 Mini, a more compact portable power station featuring a 1008Wh battery. It’s about half the size of the standard Power 1000 and is designed for users who need a smaller, travel-friendly power solution for outdoor shoots, trips, and light backup use. The device was first unveiled in China in January and has now been made available in global markets.

The unit measures 314 × 212 × 216 mm and weighs 11.5 kg. It delivers 800W continuous AC output, with a peak of 1000W. Depending on the region, bypass output can go higher. It can also run select appliances rated up to 1200W. The port setup includes two AC outlets, two USB-A ports, one USB-C port, a retractable 100W USB-C cable, and an SDC port for DJI devices.

It uses an LFP battery rated for around 4000 charge cycles while maintaining about 80 percent capacity. Charging options include wall power, solar, and car input. With an AC input, it reaches 80 percent in 58 minutes and a full charge in 75 minutes. Car charging uses a 400W system and takes about 160 minutes for a full recharge. Solar charging is supported through a built-in 400W MPPT module with MC4 connectors.

The Power 1000 Mini also works as a UPS with a 0.01-second switchover during outages. It supports pass-through charging when connected to solar panels. There is a built-in LED light with adjustable brightness.

On the durability side, the body is flame-retardant and tested to handle up to one ton of pressure. It is rated to operate at altitudes up to 5000 meters. The sealed inverter design helps protect it from rain and salt exposure. Internally, it uses a 10-sensor battery management system. The unit can be monitored through the DJI Home app over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.

The SDC port supports up to 300W output and allows fast charging for compatible DJI devices, including Air 3, which can go from 10 to 95 percent in about 30 minutes with a separate cable.

The Power 1000 Mini is priced at USD 467 and is now available globally through DJI’s official store and retail partners.

Less than a week after announcing the Osmo Pocket 4, DJI has unveiled the Osmo Mobile 8P in China today. The new gimbal brings a major design overhaul with a removable display module that allows it to function even as a wireless remote control. 

The controller attaches magnetically and can be removed for remote shooting. It has its own display that mirrors what the camera sees, including subject detection boxes. You can tap on the screen to choose who or what to track, and switch targets without going back to the phone.

The remote also doubles as a control hub. Its joystick doesn’t have fixed directional limits, which means it can be used more fluidly for gimbal movement, zoom, or adjusting lighting. 

DJI Osmo Mobile 8P Specifications 

At the center of the update is Smart Follow 8.0, which comes through the updated DJI Mimo app. DJI says the new version is designed to hold onto a subject more reliably, even in crowded environments like concerts or exhibitions. The system can identify a subject on-screen and continue tracking without losing focus when other people or objects move through the frame.

There’s also a new multi-functional tracking module 2, which expands what the gimbal can follow. It’s not limited to people anymore; it can lock onto pets like cats and dogs, and even track objects or vehicles. That module also includes a built-in fill light with adjustable brightness and color temperature, controlled directly from the remote.

On the connectivity side, the Osmo Mobile 8P supports Apple DockKit, allowing quick pairing through NFC and Bluetooth. 

Hardware-wise, DJI is combining several features into one unit. The gimbal includes a built-in extension rod, tripod, and fill light, along with up to 10 hours of battery life. There’s also a USB-C port that can be used to charge your phone while shooting.

The Osmo Mobile 8P continues to support gesture controls, automated camera movements, and composition assistance. For iPhone users, DJI is also offering a magnetic quick-release back sticker for faster mounting and removal.

Price and Availability

The DJI Osmo Mobile 8P starts at 899 yuan (around $130) for the standard version. A step-up option, the Osmo Mobile 8P AI, is priced at 1,099 yuan (roughly $160) and bundles in the Tracking Module 2. 

At the top end, the Osmo Mobile 8P Vlog combo costs 1,299 yuan (about $190), adding both the Tracking Module 2 and the DJI Mic Mini 2 for a more complete shooting setup.

As you can see, the Osmo Pocket 4 packs a 1-inch sensor with up to 14 stops of dynamic range. There’s also 107GB of built-in storage, paired with transfer speeds of up to 800MB/s, and notably, no visible microSD card slot this time around. 

Images shared by leaker OsitaLV show both the standard package and the all-in-one bundle, with the rear of the box essentially acting as a full spec sheet. The Osmo Pocket 4 includes support for 10-bit D-Log, 2x lossless zoom (likely enabled by new hardware), and Intelligent Follow 7.0 for improved subject tracking.

Other listed features round out the specs. The pocket camera supports OsmoAudio quad-channel output, three-axis stabilization, and a rotatable touchscreen designed for flexible shooting angles.

None of this comes completely out of the blue; the specs align closely with a previously leaked quick-start guide. But seeing them printed on final retail packaging makes this the most concrete evidence yet that the Osmo Pocket 4 is already in mass production.

The Creator Combo appears just as stacked. The so-called DJI drone ban in the United States started in late December 2025, but it is not what many headlines made it sound like. DJI drones were not banned outright. The new rules mainly affect future imports and approvals. If you already own a DJI drone, you can still use it.

Why This Happened

The issue comes from the National Defense Authorization Act for FY2025. The law required a US national security agency to complete a formal security review of DJI by December 23, 2025.

That review did not happen by the deadline. Because of this, the Federal Communications Commission placed DJI equipment on its Covered List. Being on the Covered List does not ban ownership or use. It blocks new FCC equipment approvals, which are required to legally import and sell products in the US. That is what triggered the current restrictions.

Existing DJI Drones Are Not Banned

Many people think all DJI drones have become illegal. That is wrong. Any DJI model that already had FCC approval before December 23, 2025, can still be owned, used, and bought from existing US stock. The rule only affects new approvals, not products that were already certified. If a drone was approved before the deadline, it can still be sold in the US.

New DJI Drones Cannot Get FCC Approval

So far, there’s no confirmation on hardware upgrades like sensors or video specs. Earlier rumors point toward DJI sticking with strong core features such as 3-axis stabilization, possibly building on the Pocket 3’s 1-inch sensor, rather than reinventing the device entirely.

With packaging and warehouse listings now leaking, the Osmo Pocket 4’s debut feels increasingly close. DJI hasn’t said anything officially yet, but if history is any indication, an announcement may not be far off.

DJI has launched its ROMO robot vacuum cleaners in Korea. The lineup focuses on complete floor coverage, strong suction, and minimal maintenance. The top ROMO P model has transparent panels on the robot and base station so you can see the internal components.

ROMO uses dual fisheye vision sensors and wide-angle dual-transmitter solid-state LiDAR for millimeter-level obstacle sensing. With machine learning, it detects and avoids objects as thin as 2 mm, including charging cables and playing cards. The sensors let the robot navigate under beds, sofas, and other low-clearance furniture, even in dim lighting. The wide field of view helps it move around irregular furniture without missing spots.

The cleaning routes use DJI’s mapping and navigation technology. ROMO adjusts its path in real time based on obstacles and room layout. It cleans close to table legs, wires, and corners while avoiding items like socks or liquid spills. Dual flexible arms extend and retract automatically to clean along edges, under cabinets, and around furniture legs. The sweeping coverage is wider than the mop path, so dirt gets removed before mopping starts.

ROMO delivers up to 25,000 Pa of suction with 20 liters per second airflow. When the vision system spots loose debris like cat litter, the robot slows down and reduces side brush rotation to prevent scattering. Twin high-torque motors power the roller brushes, guiding hair, dust, and larger debris into a hollow center for better pickup and less tangling.

The self-cleaning base station handles long-term use with minimal effort. It uses four high-pressure water jets, a 16 mm waste outlet, and applies 12 newtons of downward force on the mop pads for effective dirt removal. This setup supports up to 200 days of maintenance-free operation. A three-stage sound suppression system cuts dust collection noise by up to 80 percent.

ROMO has a 164 ml onboard water tank to keep mop pads evenly damp and automatically adjusts water flow for tougher stains. ROMO P adds a separate compartment for floor deodorizer, allowing different routines for kitchens or full-home cleaning. The DJI Home app handles control and offers preset and customizable modes for carpets, thresholds, kitchens, bathrooms, and pet areas. Privacy features include encrypted video transmission and two-factor authentication for camera access. ROMO supports 55 W fast charging and reaches full charge in about 2.5 hours.

The DJI ROMO series is available for pre-order in Korea. Prices start at 1,590,000 KRW for ROMO S, 1,790,000 KRW for ROMO A, and 1,940,000 KRW for ROMO P.

DJI has launched the Power 1000 Mini, a new portable power station that sits between compact power banks and larger power stations. The product has debuted in China, with a wider rollout expected later. It follows the launch of the Power 1000 V2, which reached markets like Europe in July 2025.

The Power 1000 Mini focuses on reducing size and weight while keeping a large battery. It uses a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of around 1,000 Wh. The battery is rated to retain at least 80% capacity after 4,000 charge cycles. Power output is rated at 1,000 W, with support for an 800 W continuous load. This is enough to run laptops, cameras, drones, and other mid-power devices.

Compared to the Power 1000 V2, the Mini is smaller and lighter. It measures 314 × 212 × 216 mm and weighs 11.5 kg. For reference, the Power 1000 V2 measures 448 × 225 × 230 mm and weighs 14.2 kg. The Mini also includes an integrated handle to make carrying easier.

One of the key new features is a retractable USB-C cable built into the body. It supports up to 100 W bidirectional charging. The rest of the port selection includes one additional 100 W USB-C port, two 12 W USB-A ports, and two AC output sockets. This is half the number of AC outlets found on the Power 1000 V2. There is also an SDC port.

Charging is fast for a power station of this size. DJI states that a full charge takes about 75 minutes, while an 80% charge can be reached in under one hour. The unit can be charged using AC power, USB-C input, or solar panels.

The Power 1000 Mini also includes a built-in LED light, which can be useful for camping or low-light conditions. An SOS flashing mode is included for emergencies.

In China, the Power 1000 Mini is priced at CNY 2,499, or about $359. DJI has not yet confirmed when it will be available in other regions.

DJI has officially unveiled the DJI RS 5, its latest professional camera stabilizer, with a clear focus on smarter subject tracking and easier single-operator shooting. Launched in China with a starting price of 3,099 yuan, the new gimbal builds on the RS lineup with practical upgrades rather than a full redesign.

Enhanced intelligent tracking is the main upgrade

The biggest addition is the RS Enhanced Intelligent Tracking Module. The magnetically attached unit shows a live feed on the gimbal’s touchscreen, letting users tap directly on a subject to lock tracking. It supports people, vehicles, and pets, and can maintain recognition at distances of up to 10 meters. DJI says the system can quickly re-acquire a subject even if it briefly leaves the frame, which should help during fast or unpredictable shots. Screen-based tracking also reduces reliance on gesture controls or external triggers.

Motor performance has been improved as well, with DJI claiming up to a 50% increase in peak torque. This is paired with the company’s fifth-generation stabilization algorithm, designed to handle quick directional changes and vertical shooting more effectively.

On the usability side, DJI has added a native electronic handheld adapter for easier one-handed operation and low-angle shots. There’s also a real-time Z-axis stability indicator on the display, intended to help operators adjust their movement and reduce vertical shake. Switching between portrait and landscape modes is now quicker and doesn’t require additional accessories.

Despite weighing just 1.46 kg with the grip and quick-release plate, the RS 5 supports payloads of up to 3 kg. Adjustable leveling knobs on all arms and a folded locking design aim to speed up balancing and transport. Battery life is rated at around 14 hours, with fast charging taking about an hour. An optional high-capacity battery can extend usage to roughly 30 hours.

The DJI RS 5 starts at 3,099 yuan, while a higher-end bundle is priced at 3,899 yuan. Pre-orders are currently open in China.

A fresh leak has surfaced online showing DJI’s upcoming Avata 360 drone in more detail. The brand’s upcoming compact drone just had its entire design revealed, showcasing its quadcopter design and remote controller. So let’s check it out.

DJI Avata 360 leaked in all its glory

Leaked images of the latest Avata series drone just surfaced on X (via Igor Bogdanov). You can see the DJI’s Avata 360 prototype with a camera housing that can rotate, which is a feature not found even on its main competitor, the Antigravity A1. To recall, this is another 360 drone that recently debuted. But shortly after its release, the Avata 360 had its retail box leaked.

While in action, this rotating mechanism for the camera would allow the DJI Avata 360 to offer both 360 degree capture device and even forward facing shooting for typical FPV flight. This technology seemed to draw inspiration from another one of DJI’s popular gadgets, the Osmo 360 action camera. In leaked imagery, one camera lens appears oriented inwards while the other faces outward, suggesting flexibility in how footage is captured. The accompanying controller feed also reportedly shows a traditional FPV view instead of an immediate 360 degree stitch, which further lends weight to the dual shooting mode functionality.

Based on what we know so far, the Avata 360 could record video up to 8K resolution using dual 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensors. These twin large sensors should offer improved low light performance and better dynamic range overall. Older rumors have also hinted at the DJI Avata 360 being an affordable compact drone, which could start from around 2,988 yuan (roughly 426 US Dollars).
