For these changes, the company is even charging a whopping 36% more. Due to the price and feature parity between the two models,  the Nothing Phone 1 is still on sale.

So the question arises whether you should buy the latest Nothing Phone 2 or go easy on your pocket by opting for the mods affordable Nothing Phone 1.

Is Nothing Phone 2 worth buying?

The Nothing Phone 2 starts at ₹44,999, $599, and €649 in India, the US, and Europe, respectively. It packs a punch for its asking price and it is more affordable than the flagship smartphones from Samsung and Apple.

However, consumers in India and Europe have a lot of Chinese options. But none of the competitors provide what Nothing Phone 2 has to offer.

The second handset from the brand is a refinement of the original. It retains the core features along with improvements.

The Nothing Phone 2 arrives with a more powerful and capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. It also sports a larger and better 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz LTPO OLED display with a peak brightness of 1600 nits.

Further, the main camera is a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor which is found on the premium smartphones from Oppo and OnePlus. The ultra-wide camera remains the same (50MP Samsung JN1) but the front selfie camera gets an upgrade in the form of a 32MP Sonny IMX615 sensor.

The device draws energy from a slightly larger 4,7000mAh battery, It also supports faster 45W charging but the wireless charging speed remains the same at 15W and 5W for reverse wireless.

Finally, the rear Glyph lights also get an upgrade. The top section of the lights now has more LEDs so that it can act as a progress bar.

If you care about the aforementioned upgrades and don’t care about spending more, the Nothing Phone 2 is surely a good option.

On the other hand, if you simply want to experience the Nothing brand and do not want to break the bank, then the Nothing Phone 1 is the right choice. You get almost a similar experience with some shortcomings.

The original Nothing Phone 1 is also still recommendable for anyone looking for a smartphone in its price segment (₹30,000 / €400). You can go through the reasons in our dedicated article on this topic.
