Tesla, the world’s leading electric car maker, is in trouble again. According to the Wall Street Journal, the electric vehicle maker has recalled a total of 80,561 vehicles in China due to software and seat belt issues. The company, which has been experiencing many problems recently, broke a record with the fourth recall in a week.

Battery management glitches affecting 67,698 Model S and Model X vehicles could lead to unexpected stops, according to the country’s State Administration for Market Regulation, while 12,863 Model 3 sedans have seat belt issues.

Fortunately, most of the problems in vehicles are easy to solve. Tesla fixes models with battery problems with software updates. However, the 12,863 Model 3 requires minor manual repairs. It is not known whether the defects resulted in any collision or injury or whether they are directly related to past faults. The main thing users complain about is the frequency of recalls.

This is the third recall in one week for the company. Lately, Tesla recalled nearly 30,000 Model X SUVs over troublesome airbag behavior, and 321,000 Model 3 and Model Y EVs due to software-related rear light anomalies. Unfortunately, this doesn’t include the recalls needed to fix bugs that caused the car’s windows to jam and caused some issues with the autopilot.

Tesla manages to fix these problems quickly and systematically every time. In fact, it sometimes removes some problems without users being aware of it, with updates it releases remotely. Still, the frequency of recalls negatively impacts the company’s reputation. The competition in the electric vehicle market is more intense than ever, and if Tesla continues to experience these problems, it is likely to lose its customers to its competitors.

Orange Pi, a software company with headquarters in Shenzhen Xulong, has just unveiled its brand-new laptop operating system, which is based on Android. The recently unveiled OS is very much like a hybrid of Windows and Android since, although being based on Android, it has more of a Windows-like appearance and feel. It provides every fundamental functionality a desktop-oriented operating system should have.

The Orange Pi 800 keyboard PC is compatible with the most recent OS version. Soon, support for the Orange Pi 5 SBC will be introduced. The OS is reportedly based on Android 12. We don’t know of any Android 12 SDK available for the RK3399 chipset, therefore that might be a brand error. Next year, the company plans to develop Orange Pi OS (OH), an Open Harmony variant, as well as Orange Pi OS (Arch), an Arm version of Arch Linux.

Redmi K60E may be a redesigned Xiaomi 12T & Redmi K50S model

A new report has revealed some interesting details regarding the Redmi K60E. The device is a part of the company’s K60 series, which was recently leaked via tipster Kacper Skryzpek. Now, a new report hints that the device might be a redesigned version of Xiaomi’s existing smartphone models.

The news arrives from Xiaomiui, which claimed that the device might be a reworked version of a Xiaomi 12T or Redmi K50S models. For those unaware, the upcoming K60E model could be a shortened name for the K60 Extreme model. The report claims that this model will be a successor to the Redmi K40S phone with all of the details arriving from MIUI codebase. This codebase also carried the ‘22127RK46C’ model number of the device, which was first shared by the Skryzpek leak that also revealed its ‘Rembrandt’ codename.

As per Xiaomiui, the Redmi K60E might be a redesigned K50S model. Notably, this phone is also a rebranded version of the Xiaomi 12T as well. The Chinese tech giant had rebranded the phone since the Xiaomi 12T model was not launched in China, but was available in certain other regions. It featured a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Ultra SoC, a FHD+ AMOLED display and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging report.

In other words, we can expect the Redmi K60E to feature some of the specifications of the K50S. For example, the company might bump the Dimensity 8100 Ultra to a Dimensity 8200 processor in the Redmi K60E. Elon Musk has just recently hinted at possibly venturing into the smartphone business. The billionaire could plan on launching a new Tesla phone, which would take on the likes of Google and Apple based on his tweet.

Looking at his original tweet, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX could be working on an “alternative phone. For some context, the tweet from Musk arrived as a response to Liz Wheeler on Twitter that stated that “If Apple & Google boot Twitter from their app stores, @elonmusk should produce his own smartphone. Half the country would happily ditch the biased, snooping iPhone & Android. The man builds rockets to Mars, a silly little smartphone should be easy, right?”

To this, Elon responded that “I certainly hope it does not come to that, but, yes, if there is no other choice, I will make an alternative phone.” In other words, even if the popular EV maker isn’t actively venturing out to the smartphone market, the idea isn’t completely fat fetched depending on the situation. As of right now, there are no signs of Apple or Google banning the popular microblogging platform from their App Store or Play Store, but even if it did, one could still sideload the app on Android or possibly be found on third party app stores like Amazon.

If a Tesla phone is actually in the words, we could also expect Elon Musk to create a dedicated unit for its mobile/wireless business as well. The Watch Buds will be accompanied by other devices, such as the FreeBuds 5i TWS earbuds, the Huawei Children’s Watch 5G, and the Nova 10 SE. Unfortunately, there is no information available on the TWS earbuds or children’s watch.

The Huawei Nova 10 SE is not an entirely new phone since it has already debuted in the global market. It has a 6.67-inch OLED FHD+ 90Hz display, a Snapdragon 680 chipset, 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB / 256 GB of storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. It has a 16-megapixel front camera and a 108-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit.

According to a previous Weibo post by the same tipster, Huawei had previously planned to launch the Huawei Watch Buds and Nova 10 SE by the end of November in China. However, it appears that the launch event has s been postponed to Dec. 9.

Now, a latest leak reveals some interesting details regarding the top end Oppo Find X6 Pro, which will take on the likes of the other rival Chinese brand’s flagship phones like the Xiaomi 13 Pro in the market.

The iQOO Neo 7 SE will launch along with the iQOO 11 and the iQOO 11 Pro on Dec. 2 in China. Over the weekend, the Neo 7 SE with the V2238A model number appeared in the database of the TENAA certification platform. The listing mentioned all the major specs of the phone. In addition, iQOO released a poster today to reveal the key features of the device.

As can be seen in the poster below, the iQOO Neo 7 will be equipped with a 120Hz AMOLED display and is powered by the Dimensity 8200 chipset. The SoC is paired with an improved LPDDR5 RAM and an overclocked version of the UFS 3.1 storage. The company is now accepting reservations for the device on its official website.

The TENAA listing of the iQOO Neo 7 SE revealed that it measures 164.81 x 76.9 x 8.58mm and weighs around 193 grams. It houses a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.

The Dimensity 8200-powered device will ship with 8 GB / 12 GB / 16 GB of RAM. It will come in storage choices such as 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. It will run on the Android 13 OS, which will be overlaid with OriginOS 3.0.

On the front, the iQOO Neo 7 SE has a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The back panel of the device has a 64-megapixel main camera, which is coupled with a pair of 2-megapixel snappers. For security, it has an under-display fingerprint scanner. It is backed by a 5,000mAh dual-cell battery that supports 120W fast charging. The Neo 7 SE also features an IR blaster.

Huawei was one of the first brands to launch a foldable smartphone in the market. The company has been rumored to be working on a next gen premium Mate X3 foldable phone, and now, its possible launch timeline has been revealed.

The news arrives from tipster Wangzai Knows Everything (Via NotebookCheck) who shared that the information on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website). The company’s Mate X3 is set to launch soon and will feature a design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. This means that the Chinese tech giant’s foldable phone will also have two displays, with one external and the primary display being a large inward folding panel housed on a vertical hinge.

According to the tipster, despite having a same design, the Huawei foldable phone will cost significantly less than its South Korean counterpart. From what we know so far, the Mate X3 is believed to feature a 4G only Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Although finer details regarding this device is still at large. Based on a previous report, Huawei was expected to launch the Mate X3 sometime in December 2022. However, the latest leak hints at a later launch.

The Mate X2 model was released back in February 2021, so it is clear that a successor is already long due. iQOO 11 series is all set to be unveiled on Dec. 2 in China. Several reports have revealed key details about the iQOO 11. New information has emerged today that reveals important details about the device’s display. At the same time, a Chinese tipster has leaked information on its variants and cameras.

iQOO confirmed today that the iQOO 11 series’ E6 AMOLED display will offer up to a 2K resolution and up to a 144Hz refresh rate. It will also offer an XDR engine, a peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits, and 1440 1440Hz PWM dimming. The iQOO 11 will have a 6.78-inch flat display, whereas the iQOO 11 Pro will have the same-sized screen with curved edges. The iQOO 11 duo will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Vivo V2 ISP.

A new leak by Panda is Bald, shifts our focus to the vanilla model. He revealed that the device will arrive in five options: 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage, and 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage.

The tipster revealed that except for the 128 GB edition, the other storage variants are UFS 4.0. All the variants are equipped with LPDDR5X RAM. He also shared some information about the rear camera setup of the iQOO 11.

The tipster claimed that the iQOO 11 has a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel OmniVision OV8B ultra-wide lens, and a 12- or 13-megapixel portrait snapper. Samsung has been rumored to be planning on launching the Galaxy S23 series with an overclocked version of Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Now, a new rumor has revealed that this beefed up variant of the next gen flagship chipsets will be manufactured by Samsung Foundry.

And now, a tweet from RGcloudS claims that there will be two version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The AC variant will be produced using TSMC’s N4P process mode, meanwhile Samsung Foundry will be manufacturing the Version AB on its 4nm LPE process.

Samsung had recently announced the Galaxy Z Flip 4 Maison Margiela Limted Edition model for the Chinese market recently. Now, the special edition variant of the foldable phone has officially been released in the region. So let’s have a look.

Just recently, the South Korean tech giant had announced the Galaxy Z Fold 4 Genshin Impact Edition in its home market. The company is now releasing a new variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 4, which includes the collaboration with the French luxury fashion brand. This has the Galaxy Z Flip 4 feature a new design that has a matte white finish and bears a Maison Margiela logo. The brand is also offering a couple of accessories alongside the new special edition model.

One of the two cases includes a ring attachment with the Maison Margiela’s numeric coding while the other has a hand painted leather canvas. Apart from these accessories, Samsung is also going to offer a unique UI design that offers an X ray vision for the wallpapers that gives us a look at the internal hardware for the device. There are also specialized app icons as well. Under the hood, the device packs the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage like the base Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The company had recently teased this device and it was even spotted on JD.com as well. Now, the company has officially revealed its price tag of 12,799 Yuan (roughly 1,777 US Dollars). In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 version with the same storage configuration typically goes for around 8,499 Yuan in the Chinese market.

A new report suggests that someone has hacked WhatsApp and stolen the personal information of around 500 million users.

According to the latest report from Cybernews, an actor posted an ad in a hacking community forum to sell the data of over 487 million WhatsApp users, including their mobile numbers. The listing also claims that data consists of users from 84 different countries and includes user data of 32 million users from the USA. The list of compromised information also contains user data from countries like Egypt, Italy, Saudi Arabia, France, and Turkey.

Hackers even created a price list for the personal information in question. For example, the WhatsApp user database in the US sells for $7,000. The UK’s database is $2,500, and Germany’s is $2,000. Unfortunately, leaked phone numbers can be used for many different scams. Relatively older users, in particular, are at great risk.

Meta, the umbrella company of WhatsApp, has not yet made a statement. Everyone is wondering, “how did hackers get this information?”. The application is protected by end-to-end encryption and stands out with its security. However, the incident led to the thought that WhatsApp is not secure.

Also, it is currently speculated that the WhatsApp data of around 500 million has been obtained using web scraping or web harvesting, where an automated data tool is used to collect data from a specific service, which violates WhatsApp’s terms of service. Unfortunately, we can’t share definitive information until an official statement from the company is received.

iQOO has announced that it will launch its iQOO 11 series flagship smartphones on December 2. This will be a China-exclusive launch, with a global launch expected in the following months. The series consists of iQOO 11 and iQOO 11 Pro. Specifications of these smartphones have already been leaked. Additionally, the brand has also started teasing many of its features. So let’s take a look at all the details known so far.

iQOO 11 Specs

So far, a leaked image of the iQOO 11 back panels has revealed that it will look quite to the iQOO 10. The device will have a curved back with a camera island on the left housing two large lenses and one smaller lens.

The bottom of the camera module also says “Powered by V2,” confirming that iQOO will include the V2 ISP chip in the vanilla model. Two color options are confirmed so far: Crimson (red) and Legend (white, aka the BMW motorsport special edition).

The iQOO 11 features a 6.78-inch QHD+ E6 AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz, a resolution of 32001440 pixels, and a touch sampling rate of 300Hz. The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage. The V2 ISP chip will be used as a dedicated intelligent image and display chip.

On the back, the iQOO 11 will have a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.9 aperture and an LED flash, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture, and an 8MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. A 16MP camera on the front is used for selfies and video chats.

The iQOO 11 is expected to come with Android 13 and the OriginOS 3.0 custom skin, as well as NFC support. The device will measure 164.8x77x8.5mm and weigh 205 grams. Finally, the phone will include a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

iQOO 11 Pro Specs

The company has officially teased the iQOO 11 Pro. The teaser image reveals a similar looking to the iQOO 10 Pro. It has curved edges, a rectangular camera module with two large cutouts, one small cutout and an LED flash. There is also another cutout below the camera array which could house something a TOF sensor or a LiDAR. It also has the V2 marking on it indicating the presence of the V2 ISP chip.

Coming to the specifications, the iQOO 11 Pro is said to have a 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED display with a resolution of 2K and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Under the display will be an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The device will be powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, as well as up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The iQOO 11 Pro has a quad-rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP secondary lens, a 48MP sensor, and a 64MP lens, according to camera claims. The front camera has a 32MP sensor. The smartphone will also include the recently announced V2 imaging chip, which will also be found in the upcoming Vivo X90 series.

The phone is said to have a 4,700mAh battery, 200W wired charging, and 50W wireless charging capabilities. The operating system will be based on Android 13 with a layer of Funtouch OS 13 on top.
