Upcoming Honor Win series replaces the Honor GT 2 lineup

The Honor Win series has made its first appearance through new leaks and a retailer listing. The latter suggest that the new lineup will include dual flagship phones. Here’s a look at the latest developments about the new Honor Win series.

Honor Win series expected to launch this month

Honor Win series listed on JD
Honor Win series is listed on JD

According to multiple industry sources and the above JD listing, the Win label replaces the previously expected GT 2 and GT 2 Pro names. Listings circulating on retail platforms in China have shown the Win series accompanied by the term “super performance dual flagships”, reinforcing expectations of two models arriving together.

Recent reports have suggested that the base model will have the Snapdragon 8 Elite, whereas the higher version will pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It appears that both devices have appeared with model numbers AAK-AN00 and AAP-AN00, along with a 100W charger, on China’s 3C certification platform in the recent past.

Battery capacity appears to be an area of significant change. Reports mention units with capacities starting around 8,500mAh, with some engineering prototypes testing even higher figures.  Leaks indicate that Honor has prepared new engine-level performance tuning and gaming enhancements, which could include AI-based optimisation to stabilize frame rates, touch response and thermal output during extended use.

The series is also expected to feature a large 1.5K flat display, a metal frame and high-grade water resistance. Imaging hardware may include a 50-megapixel main sensor paired with Honor’s computational algorithms.

The Honor Win series is scheduled to launch this month. There’s no clarity whether these devices will ever make it to the global market.

DJI Avata 360 retail box leaks just days after Insta360’s Antigravity A1 launch

The race to launch the first mainstream 360° drone just got a lot more interesting. Only a week after Insta360‘s drone brand Antigravity revealed the A1 — and claimed the title of the first consumer drone with a built-in 360-degree camera — a new leak suggests DJI is about to answer sooner than anyone expected.

Antigravity may have enjoyed a short moment in the spotlight, but DJI clearly hasn’t been far behind. Rumors first pointed to a Mini 360, then shifted to what’s now widely known as the Avata 360. And based on fresh evidence, DJI’s version might be closer to launch than earlier reports hinted.

Leaker Igor Bogdanov recently posted a set of high-quality promo renders confirming the name Avata 360. These kinds of images usually appear a few weeks or months before DJI announces anything — the same pattern we saw with the Avata 2. But this time, the story moved faster. A supposed photo of the drone’s retail box also began circulating online.

It’s still not clear where the box image originally came from. Several X accounts shared what looks like the same photo, each one altered slightly with filters or blur to hide specific details, presumably to avoid getting anyone in trouble. The box looks legitimate at first glance, but as always with packaging leaks, some caution is warranted. These photos could easily be edited or staged.

Even with the usual doubts, the timing is hard to ignore. Multiple accounts posted similar images within hours, which often means units have already been shipped out — usually to reviewers, testers, or influencers — ahead of an official announcement.

DJI is rumored to launch the Avata 360 around December 23. If that holds, DJI may change the narrative just days after Antigravity’s big moment. What was supposed to be the A1’s victory lap could turn into a last-minute holiday showdown instead.

If the leak is real, the Avata 360 could hit the market before the year wraps.

Motorola could announce its first ever book-style foldable at Lenovo Tech World next month

Motorola might finally be ready to expand beyond its Razr clamshells. A new hint suggests the company is preparing a book-style foldable for January next year, something it has avoided until now.

The clue didn’t come from a social media post or a press briefing. Instead, it surfaced through Motorola’s corporate holiday gift package, which Android Headlines’ Alex Maxham shared online. Inside was a wooden notepad stamped with the line: “Every fold reveals a possibility.” The box also included a note pointing to Lenovo Tech World on January 6, 2026, saying the company is “getting ready to unfold new perspectives.”

It’s not hard to connect the dots. Motorola hasn’t confirmed anything publicly, but the wording strongly suggests a book-style foldable rather than another Razr update. The timing also lines up: the Razr 70 series is still expected in mid-2026, so whatever Motorola is teasing here appears to sit in a different category entirely.

This comes as Motorola is also building interest around its next premium slab phone, commonly referred to as the Edge 70 Ultra. The name hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but the device is expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. This speculation makes sense, considering the last “Ultra” model — the Edge 50 Ultra from 2024 — shipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

If the company really is preparing a book-style model — unofficially dubbed the “Motorola Fold” — it would go up against Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 and other large-format foldables like the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. It would also mark a new direction for Motorola’s premium lineup, giving it a device aimed at users who want more screen space for multitasking and entertainment.

Motorola tying the tease to Lenovo Tech World suggests it wants a bigger stage for the reveal. With January 6, 2026 circled on the calendar, we’ll likely hear more soon. For now, the message seems clear enough: Motorola is finally getting ready to join the book-style foldable club.

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series could mark its biggest move yet toward magnetic add-ons

A new leak is giving us a clearer picture of what Samsung is planning for the Galaxy S26 lineup — and surprisingly, the most interesting part isn’t the phones themselves. It’s the accessories. Samsung looks ready to lean heavily into magnets and Qi2 wireless charging, something it hasn’t taken too seriously until now.

The info comes from Roland Quandt, who spotted early signs that Samsung wants the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra to fully support the Qi2 standard. The timing makes sense, with the series expected to launch toward the end of February 2026.

What stands out is the charging upgrade. All three phones should support Qi2, but the S26 Ultra is the only one rumored to jump to 25W wireless charging. That’s quite a step up from the S25 series’s 15W limit. If this sticks, wireless charging on the S26 Ultra might finally feel quick enough to use regularly.

The accessories are where things get more interesting. In addition to the phones, Samsung has apparently built magnets into most of their official cases as well. That includes Magnetic Clear, Magnetic Carbon, Magnetic Rugged, and Magnetic Silicon cases. The silicone one should come in black and grey. Nothing fancy, but clearly designed to “snap” into place the way Qi2 accessories require.

There’s also a magnetic wireless battery pack on the way — it recently showed up in the Wireless Power Consortium listings — plus a 25W Qi2 charger with the model number EP-P2900. Both seem tailored for the S26 lineup’s new charging speeds.

Another accessory mentioned in the leak is a Dual Magnet Ring Holder. It’s only meant for phones with a Bluetooth S Pen, so basically the S26 Ultra. It sounds like a combination grip/stand, which might appeal to people who sketch or take lots of notes.

Altogether, it looks like Samsung is finally moving toward a more magnetic, Qi2-friendly ecosystem. If even half of this pans out, the S26 launch could be the start of a much more unified accessory lineup — and possibly inspire other Android makers to follow.

Vivo X300 Series Receives Global OriginOS 6 Update With Silent Mode and Lockscreen Changes

Vivo has started rolling out a new OriginOS 6 update for the X300 series globally on December 10, 2025. The update adds a few new features to the global build of OriginOS 6, bringing some elements already available in the Chinese version to international users. The update focuses on sound control, lockscreen customization, and new widgets, though not all additions feel well thought out.

OriginOS 6 update

The update introduces three main changes. These include Global Silent Mode improvements, Text-Style Lockscreens, and two new widgets related to gaming.

The Global Silent Mode update is the most useful change in this release. Earlier, enabling Silent Mode muted calls and notifications, but media volume stayed active. With the new update, users can now disable media volume as well when Silent Mode is turned on. This option is available in the Sound and Vibration section of the settings menu. The change makes Silent Mode more complete and avoids the need to manually lower media volume in quiet situations.

Text-Style Lockscreens have also been added to the global version of OriginOS 6. These are the same lockscreen styles that were introduced recently in the Chinese version. The feature allows users to apply different text-based designs, fonts, and decorations on the lockscreen. It does not add new functionality, but it offers more visual customization and gives users more control over how their lockscreen looks. The designs are well done and fit the overall style of the interface.

The update also brings two new widgets, and their quality is mixed. The first is the Game Space widget. This widget provides a toggle that lets users quickly access installed games. It does not show any recommendations, which keeps the interface clean and focused. This widget feels appropriate for a premium device and works as expected.

The second widget is the Game Center widget. Unlike the Game Space widget, this one pushes game recommendations directly on the home screen. This approach feels intrusive and breaks the otherwise clean user interface. For a flagship phone, forced recommendations inside a widget are hard to justify.

OnePlus Temporarily Disables AI Writer in Notes App After User Reports

OnePlus has confirmed that it is temporarily disabling the AI Writer feature in the OnePlus Notes app after multiple users reported technical inconsistencies over the past two days. The company acknowledged the issue through official community updates and stated that the problem will take more time to resolve.

According to OnePlus, user feedback highlighted unexpected behavior while using AI Writer inside the Notes app. After receiving these reports, the company initiated an internal investigation and issued an early update explaining how OnePlus AI functions. The AI system is built on a hybrid architecture that combines OnePlus software with large language model capabilities provided by global third party partners.

While the investigation is ongoing, OnePlus said it is prioritizing a stable and reliable user experience. To prevent further issues and ensure consistency, the company has decided to temporarily disable the AI Writer feature in the Notes app. This step will remain in place until the technical inconsistencies are fully addressed.

In its follow up statement, OnePlus clarified that the unexpected behavior was unintentional and does not reflect its product standards. The company emphasized that the pause is a precautionary measure while engineers work on refining the underlying technical issue affecting AI Writer.

OnePlus also reiterated its community first approach, stating that user reports and feedback played a key role in identifying the problem quickly. The brand confirmed that active work is underway but did not share a specific timeline for when the AI Writer feature will be restored.

The AI Writer feature was designed to assist users with drafting, rewriting, and refining text directly within the Notes app by using both on device and cloud based AI processing. The temporary removal may impact users who depended on the tool for everyday note taking and content editing.

OnePlus concluded by apologizing for the inconvenience caused and thanked users for their patience and understanding. The company said it will provide updates once the issue is resolved and the AI Writer feature is ready to be re enabled with consistent performance.

Google Photos Gets New Templates, Music Library, and Text Tools for Videos

Google Photos is making it easier to create and edit videos directly inside the app, with new tools focused on speed, simplicity, and customization. Users can still create a highlight video by heading to the Create tab and selecting “highlight video,” then choosing the photos and videos they want. Google Photos automatically combines them into a single video.

Google Photos

The update adds five key features designed to improve the overall editing experience.

First, Google Photos is introducing ready-made templates, rolling out on Android. These templates come with preset layouts that include built-in music, text, and automatic cuts that are synced to a soundtrack. Users only need to select a template and choose their photos and videos. The app then creates a shareable video that matches the rhythm of the music. More templates are expected to be added over time.

Second, Google has rolled out a redesigned video editor on both Android and iOS. The updated editor is faster and easier to use, with a single universal timeline that supports editing across multiple clips. This makes it simpler to arrange clips and build a clear story. The editor also includes an adaptive canvas that adjusts automatically, helping users edit more comfortably. Key editing tools are placed in familiar locations, reducing time spent navigating menus.

Third, users can now add music more easily. Google Photos offers a built-in music library that can be browsed directly within the editor. This feature is available on Android and iOS and allows users to pick soundtracks that fit the mood of their highlight videos.

Fourth, Google Photos adds more text options on Android. Users can place text overlays on videos and customize them using new fonts, colors, and background styles. This helps add context or titles that are clear and easy to read.

Finally, the redesigned editor is now the default video editor for individual clips on Android. Users can open any video, tap edit, and quickly add music or text to a single clip.

All of these features are already available or currently rolling out, giving users full video creation tools within Google Photos.

Vivo recently unveiled the Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro in multiple markets. Its sub-brand has launched the iQOO 15 in different markets, but the iQOO Neo 11 has remained exclusive to China. It appears that either of these brands is gearing up to launch a flagship-class phone. This has been evident through a recent 3C certification of a mysterious Vivo device.

As can be seen above, an upcoming Vivo smartphone with model number Vivo V2536A has been approved by China’s 3C authority. The listing reveals that the device may ship with a 100W fast charger.

However, with no other information available, it is difficult to deduce what the final moniker of this device could be. While Vivo is gearing up to launch the Vivo X300 Ultra, iQOO is said to be working on the iQOO 15 Ultra.

While both devices are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, it is unclear whether the V2536A model number belongs to any of these phones or something else. It is advisable to wait for further reports to know the final marketing name of this phone.

In related news, Vivo is also said to be working on the Vivo X300s, which may feature the Dimensity 9500 Plus chipset. This phone is expected to arrive as an improved version of the existing Vivo X300. It is likely to debut alongside the Vivo X300 Ultra.

On the other hand, iQOO is said to be working on the Dimensity 9500+-powered iQOO 15 Mini, which is also said to be a compact smartphone. Likely, it may break cover along with the iQOO 15 Ultra.
