Another tipster has just shared news of the upcoming Apple iPhone 13 series. Although, rather than leaking new information, the leaker has basically corroborated reports from the past regarding the iPhone 13 Pro featuring a LiDAR sensor.
LiDAR will only be coming to the pro iPhone models. Earlier this year it seemed Apple wanted to release all iPhone 13/12S models with LiDAR but due to one reason or another, it won’t be happening this year.
According to a tweet from @dylandkt, the high end models within the series, which is the iPhone 13 Pro lineup, will exclusively feature the new LiDAR sensor on the back. The tipster further added that the Cupertino based giant had initially aimed at including the sensor across the entire 2021 iPhone lineup, which was also previously rumored. However, the brand had to skip this feature for the lower end models due to certain unknown reasons.
In other words, the iPhone 13 Mini and base iPhone 13 could’ve also featured LiDAR technology as well. But now, only the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max would have the additional sensor on the rear. Notably, the tipster has been correct with certain predictions regarding upcoming Apple products in the past. For those unaware, LiDAR scanner was first introduced by the iPhone maker back in 2020 with the iPad Pro and then arrived in the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
This technology uses Time of Flight systems to measure the distance between the sensor and the object so that the camera can measure the distance precisely. The company has also applied this technology to enhance its AR experience primarily and also uses it in its Night Mode to improve image results as well. So stay tuned for more updates.
After teasing new power stations in the past few months via Facebook and other social media channels, Bluetti new power stations are here. Bluetti introduced a couple of new power stations – Bluetti AC300 and AC200 carrying the ability to hold the heavy-duty load of up to 24.6kWh. Bluetti made a lot of changes and advancements in comparison with their predecessors based on customer feedback. The new power stations have a lot of surprises ranging from better load capacity to integrated smart features.
Bluetti AC200 MAX and AC300 powers stations come with expandable Bluetti B230 and Bluetti B300 battery modules. These portable stations can be life-saving at times of inadvertent power outages.
Bluetti AC300
It is the upgraded version of the 3000W EP500 Pro which was launched last year. The new Bluetti AC300 is set to replace the predecessor with a flexible and modular design and other nifty features. Following Bluetti’s classic design featuring a rectangular power box with two solid lifting handles on the top.
However, the AC300 does not carry any internal battery, the user needs to grab the B300 battery to couple with the power station. The modular design enhances its portability and allows users to replace batteries.
Bluetti AC300 is easy to assemble considering its modular design. It can be easily ported in between different rooms or can even be transported.
The technical specifications include a 3000W pure sine wave inverter with an MPPT controller to safeguard the appliances. A single unit has the capacity to hold a whopping 12.3kWh capacity by coupling a maximum of four batteries.
However, Bluetti also offers the ability to connect two AC300s using Bluetti’s Fusion Box Pro. Upon coupling two stations, the user would be able to use up to 6000W of continuous power supply and 24.6kWh load-bearing capacity, and 10.4kW of solar input.
It can easily and effectively handle all the major and minor appliances in your house in case of a sudden power outage.
Bluetti AC200 Max
It is an advanced version of the AC200 and AC200P while featuring several changes and improvements. The advanced solar version – AC200 Max offers 2200W output power. It offers a direct 100W PD 3.0 USB-C port charging option and an MPPT for 900W solar input. Furthermore, the carries a 30A NEMA TT-30 outlet for RVs. Bluetti AC200 MAX also carries the ability of wireless control via iOS and Android App.
The AC200 Max power station can be coupled with 2x battery packs. The users can choose anyone between the B230 and B300 batteries. However, if you need more power capacity, then the user can add Bluetti B300 for 8192Wh output.
Availability and Price
The exciting models will retail via their official website by August and September this year. Precisely, the AC200 Max and B230 battery orders will be live in late August 2021 and will be shipped within three weeks. However, the Bluetti AC300 and B300 will arrive in September 2021.
Surprisingly, Bluetti is all set to launch the mysterious “APEX” power station by the end of this year. It will be more powerful than the “Dominator” Bluetti AC300 and “Challenger” AC200 MAX.
Huawei is apparently working on a new smartphone, as per a known leakster. The handset in question will reportedly feature support for 90W fast charging as well, which would be the highest fast charging rating offered by a smartphone from the Chinese tech giant.
The report arrives from tipster @数码闲聊站 earlier today (12th July 2021) who shared the news on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website. As of right now, the highest fast charging rate on a smartphone from the brand is 66W, which is in the Mate 40 Pro. The upcoming Huawei P50 series might offer a similar or even higher fast charging support, although, its exact battery specifications are currently unknown.
At the moment, the highest fast charging available in a smartphone that is in mass production is 120W, which is found in the Black Shark 4 Pro and iQOO 7. Unfortunately, this is still unconfirmed news, so take this report with a pinch of salt. Although, this is also indicative that the company has not stopped its R&D work on smartphones, despite facing US sanctions that have essentially disrupted the supply chain and cut off its chip supply from TSMC. So stay tuned for more, as we will be providing updates when additional information is available regarding this supposed upcoming device.
Earlier this year, the Huawei Mate X2 was officially launched in China. This was the latest foldable smartphone from the company. Now, a new patent reveals that the brand might be working on a multi function protective cover for the device.
The patent is on CNIPA(China National Intellectual Property Administration) as of right now and showcases a protective cover for the Mate X2. This patent was applied by the Chinese tech giant back in January 2021 and has just been granted. So, this patent was applied before the device’s launch and could be arriving soon. Furthermore, the patent listing also features some product sketches of this patent that reveals some details regarding its design.
Looking at these images, the cutouts and design are in line with the Mate X2’s design, although, an interesting vertical cut out on the rear can also be observed. The patent description states that this vertical cut is a transparent window that would allow the users to observe the time and notifications from the external display when the device is folded. This is quite practical considering the device has an inward folding device and a conventional rear cover might block the external screen as well.
Notably, a 3D render of the patent was also spotted, which reveals a foldable stand on the rear. This stand on the back of the device would enable users to place the device in a manner similar to the stands on the back of regular smartphones. So, one can simply put the device on a table and consume multimedia content when the device is unfolded without having to hold the foldable smartphone. Notably, the cover is a transparent protective case while the stand is made from an opaque black material.
With the world being hit with the Coronavirus pandemic early last year, the shipments for PCs and related components had surged. This growth momentum has carried forward into 2021, with Lenovo leading the PC market in terms of shipments in the second quarter of this year.
According to an IDCreport, worldwide shipments of PCs, including desktops, notebooks, and workstations, reached 83.6 million units in Q2 2021. This marks a notable 13.2 percent growth from the same period last year. The report adds that the elevated demand for PCs at the moment paired with the ongoing semiconductor shortage has also impacted the supply of notebooks. This, in turn, led to desktop PCs seeing a growth, which overtook laptops during this quarter.
Jitesh Ubrani, a researcher at IDC stated that “The PC market’s hot streak continued to drive heavy investments from the supply side including the entry of new vendors as well as additional spend from underdogs. And while the top 5 continue to drive volume, the smaller vendors have helped drive growth by offering unique features or niche designs.” While the market did see a 13 percent annual growth rate, it is still far lower than the 55.9 percent growth back in Q1 2021 and 25.8 percent growth in Q4 2020.
Another IDC researcher Neha Mahajan added that “The market faces mixed signals as far as demand is concerned. With businesses opening back up, demand potential in the commercial segment appears promising. However, there are also early indicators of consumer demand slowing down as people shift spending priorities after nearly a year of aggressive PC buying.”
During Q2 2021, Lenovo led the PC market with a 23.9 percent market share, marking a 14.9 percent growth over the same period last year. HP arrived second in the list with a 22.2 percent market share, while Dell came third with a 16.7 percent market share. On the other hand, Apple and Acer both came in fourth with a 7.4 percent and 7.3 percent market share respectively, while other vendors accounted for the rest of the figure.
Motorola launched the Moto G9 series last year. All the devices in the lineup debuted with Android 10. Now, months after their release, three models, namely Moto G9, Moto G9 Power, and Moto G9 Play have finally started receiving the Android 11 update.
Motorola Moto G9 Play
According to a report by PiunikaWeb, Motorola, the sub-brand of Lenovo, has started rolling out the Android 11 update for Moto G9, Moto G9 Power, and Moto G9 Play. Like any other OTA system update, the latest software update for these handsets is being seeded out in batches.
In simpler words, the new update is only available for a select few users in certain regions. Anyway, the update should reach all the users in different regions in the coming days.
Going by the update track record of Motorola, Android 11 should be the first and the last major update for Moto G9, Moto G9 Power, and Moto G9 Play. But these handsets will likely receive security updates for quite a while.
A few years back, Motorola was known for its software support. At times, the company used to deliver security patches before Google rolls out for Nexus devices. The firm was even quicker at rolling out Android updates.
Right now, if you are looking for an Android smartphone with proper timely software updates, a Samsung Galaxy smartphone in your budget should be the right pick.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 has just been certified in China. The device was spotted on official government websites like TENNA and MIIT, which have apparently revealed certain key information regarding the upcoming foldable smartphone.
As per the official listings, the South Korean tech giant’s new foldable handset will be powered by a large 4,500mAh battery pack and will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC under the hood. It will also feature two displays, including a large primary screen and an external display on the outer side. The larger display is 7.5 inches while the external panel will be 6.2 inches. While finer details regarding the device are still unknown, a Weibo blogger, a Chinese microblogging website, revealed certain additional details as well.
According to @数码闲聊站, the Galaxy Z Fold3 will support 25W fast charging and will run Android 11 out of the box. Additionally, the blogger expects that the device will be priced at around or more than 15,000 Yuan (roughly 2,317 US Dollars). While the actual release date of the foldable handset is still unknown at the moment, the smartphone maker is expected to announce the device on 11th August 2021 during the Galaxy UNPACKED event, which will also include the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip3, Galaxy Buds 2, and Galaxy Watch 4 as well.
UPDATE: We want to clear that the engineer made this self-driving bike as a side project of his own that can be operated even when it is unmanned. We had previously stated that this prototype was a project from Huawei but have corrected the discrepancy.
An engineer from Huawei has developed an autonomous bicycle prototype. The prototype electric bicycle is quite impressive, with it being capable of maintaining its balance even on the slimmest of surfaces (demonstrated with the bike standing on a thin fence). Furthermore, the self-driving bike also arrives with a series of impressive features like the high precision sensors on its body, paired with image recognition cameras, and AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology as well, which enables it to run without the need for human interaction.
Okay in response to @TubeTimeUS's request, some of my favorite Chinese Makers (the real kind, not the entrepreneurs calling themselves Makers with no technical skills)
The engineer at the helm of this project is Zhihui Jun, who apparently got this idea after he faced an injury due to a bicycle accident. This injury leads him to realize that there is potential for a self-driving bike. Thus, the company’s team put together equipment such as an automatic control system along with a perception sensor network, and a chip that acts as the brain of the system and providers the required computing power.
The engineer first began modeling the bicycle on CAD, and then added two large brushless motors and steering gear on the physical prototype. After this, Zhihui Jun equipped the bike with an RGBD depth camera, an accelerometer, gyroscope, and even a LiDAR sensor. The bike is powered by a lithium-based battery that can last for up to 2 to 3 hours, while the main control module is housed right below the seat.
The engineer outfitted the bicycle with a control module that works similarly to the systems used in artificial satellites to maintain its balance. In other words, it is equipped with small but high precision sensors that can detect even the slightest of tilts and immediately sends data to the control module so that it can make changes that ensure that it can stand on its own. The motor also helps run the rear wheel, which enables it to move without pedaling.

Krafton and Tencent Games have collaborated with Tesla to bring the latter’s recognizable vehicles to the popular looter shooter title, PUBG Mobile. Now, players can expect to see models like the Model Y and even the Cybertruck in game.
The new cars arrive with the new 1.5 update, which is a major roll out that brings various changes in the Erangel map as well. Talking about the collaboration, PUBG Mobile X Tesla has also brought the American electric vehicle maker’s Gigafactory, which the players can explore. In this factory, one can assemble the Model Y model that is a self driving car along with other vehicles like the Cybertruck by activating certain switches.
These cars will then proceed to drive around the map and will drop supply crates when damaged by any players that encounter them. Although, the game does not allow any player to drive these new vehicles, unfortunately. Furthermore, the update also bring various changes to the original Erangel map as well, with overhauls to the buildings alongside new equipment like the futuristic anti gravity bike.
While these changes in the update are available for the mobile port of the popular battle royale game, its PC variant is likely to not receive a similar update considering its gameplay is based around more realistic mechanics. However, the new PUBG Mobile update is a great platform for Tesla to advertise its vehicles since the game is one of the most popular mobile games in the market as of right now.

Chinese handset maker vivo is yet to launch all the models in the vivo V21 series in India. However, the company has already begun to certify the lineup’s successor – vivo V23 series. One of the models in the upcoming series has been spotted on a database.
vivo V21e
According to a new finding by tech influencer Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), the vivo V21 series will be succeeded by vivo V23 series. He has spotted a device part of this forthcoming lineup.
The handset that he has come across on the IMEI database is vivo V23e. This phone bears the model number V2116. Going by the branding, it will be the direct successor of vivo V21e.
Hence, we can expect the vivo V23e to be similar to the vivo V21e with some improvements. For those unaware, the vivo V21e comes in both 4G and 5G variants. Hence, the upcoming vivo V23e may also arrive in two versions.
The model that has been spotted appears to be the LTE version of the device. Because vivo is known for using 5G branding for its budget and mid-range handsets with 5G connectivity.
Unfortunately, it’s not known when vivo will be officially unveiling this phone. Anyway, we can expect features like an AMOLED display, three or more rear cameras, mid-range 4G-only SoC, 4,000mAh or more battery, 33W or faster charging, and a striking design.
Recently, OPPO-backed Realme had launched the Realme GT Neo Flash Edition smartphone in the Chinese market. As the name indicates, it’s a variant of the Realme GT Neo launched a couple of months ago in China.
Now, the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage model of the smartphone is available for pre-orders in China for the price of 1,999 yuan which roughly converts to $309. It comes in four colors — Black, Pink, Silver, and Yellow.
There isn’t much difference between the Realme GT Neo and the new Flash Edition. The new model comes with the “Dawn” plain leather color scheme and the charging speed has been increased from 50W to 65W.
It features a 6.43-inch Samsung Super AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and 91.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC.
The phone packs up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In the camera department, the phone features a triple-camera setup that consists of a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel sensor with a macro lens. On the front side, the device features a 16-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.
Connectivity options on the device include Dual-SIM 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, GALILEO, QZSS), and NFC. Other features include stereo speakers, Dolby Sound, Hi-Res Audio certification, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port.
The smartphone runs the Android 11 operating system out-of-the-box and has Realme UI 2.0 on top. It is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging and packs a 65W charger in the box.
A couple of months ago, in March this year, Xiaomi officially announced the commencement of its smart electric vehicle business which will be led by the company’s founder and CEO Lei Jun.
Since then, the smartphone maker has been in talks with several car manufacturers for a partnership but nothing has materialized so far. Lei Jun has been visiting automakers and the latest company added to the list is SAIC.
Lei Jun, founder, CEO, and chairman of the Xioami Group visited the SAIC headquarters and some users shared photos of the same online. So far, he has visited BYD, Great Wall, Wuling, and some other well-known automakers as the Chinese tech giant is gearing up for its Smart Electric Vehicles business.
For those who are unaware, SAIC Motor Corporation Limited is a multinational automotive design and manufacturing company headquartered in Shanghai.
Lei Jun said that in the past 75 days, Xiaomi’s management has had 85 industry visits, in-depth exchanges with more than 200 automotive industry veterans, four internal management discussions, and two formal board meetings.
Explaining the intention for Xiaomi to build cars, he emphasized the company aims to offer high-quality smart electric vehicles to allow users globally to enjoy ubiquitous smart life. He further added that “I am willing to bet on all the reputation and achievements of my life to fight for Xiaomi cars!”
For this new wholly-owned subsidiary to work on the electric vehicles and related business, it plans to invest around 10 billion yuan (~$1.5 billion) but over a period of 10 years. It’s likely that the upcoming smart car from the company will be a consumer product and will be targeted at the mass market.
HONOR is no longer a big smartphone player in neither China nor in international markets. However, the brand is trying to regain its market share ever since it was sold by HUAWEI. The company is also still continuing to release other products like laptops. It has now officially announced to launch new laptop models this Wednesday in its home country.
HONOR MagicBook 14 2021
According to the official HONOR Life Weibo account, the former sub-brand of HUAWEI has scheduled a launch conference for July 14 at 19:30 CST. The company will unveil new HONOR MagicBook Ryzen Edition notebooks at this event.
Unfortunately, the brand has not revealed any important details about these laptops yet. But our guess is that there should be two models – HONOR MagicBook 14 Ryzen Edition and HONOR MagicBook 15 Ryzen Edition.
Further, these notebooks will likely arrive in multiple memory variants powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors. As for software, we can expect them to run Microsoft Windows 10 operating system with additional features like ‘Multi Screen Collaboration’.
Since we are still two days away from the launch, HONOR might tease all the key specs in the next few hours. Hence, we look forward to learning about these upcoming laptops before their official announcement on Wednesday.
What do you expect from the upcoming HONOR MagicBook Ryzen Edition notebooks? Do let us know in the comment section below.
Apple has been revamping its MacBook and iMac devices with a new design as well as adopting its own Apple Silicon chips instead of Intel chips. The company recently launched the iPad Pro powered by the Apple M1 chipset — the same chip that powers most of the newly launched computers from the brand.
Now, a new report coming from Mark Gurman through Power On newsletter claims that the Cupertino-based tech giant is reportedly gearing up to launch a revamped version of the iPad Mini in the fall this year. The upcoming iPad Mini 6 is speculated to launch along with the larger-display model of the Apple iMac.
Apple iPad Mini 6 Render
The newer model of the iPad Mini is expected to come with some major design overhaul, including thinner bezels. The brand is also touted to get rid of the Home button. In what is billed to be the “biggest redesign in the nine-year history” of the device, Mark Gurman claims it will be similar to the alterations made to the iPad Air.
Leaked images related to the device have pointed to the iPad Mini having the same footprint as the current model, with only a 3mm difference. It is said to measure 206.3mm x 137.8mm x 6.1mm in dimensions and will be available in three colors options — Silver, Black, and Gold. The Lightning port has been switched for USB-C port, and Touch ID will remain on the device in the form of a power button sensor.
Although the iPad Pro is powered by the M1 chipset, we expect the company to launch this upcoming model powered by the Apple A-series processors to differentiate between the Pro and Mini models in terms of performance.
Apple is also rumored to launch a new model of the iMac which will have a bigger display compared to the recently announced 24-inch iMac. The new model is likely to have a 27-inch screen or larger and is likely to be powered by the M1X or M2 chipset.
OnePlus has expanded its product lineup in recent years and the brand also has a lineup of earphones under its OnePlus Buds series. There are already a couple of products under the same and now the company is gearing up to launch another one.
It has officially confirmed that the OnePlus Buds Pro is in the works and has also revealed that the earphones will be launched along with the OnePlus Nord 2 5G smartphone that is scheduled for 22nd July.
OnePlus Buds
As a part of OnePlus Lab, the company is also offering users a chance to experience both these upcoming products — Buds Pro earphones and Nord 2 5G smartphone ahead of the official launch in a couple of weeks.
Applications are being accepted by the company till 17th July for the early testing of both these products. Interested applicants are asked for contact information, community username, country, age, current earbuds, and a few other details.
The Chinese company has not revealed anything related to the upcoming true wireless earphones apart from confirming that its name is OnePlus Buds Pro. However, the name indicates that it could be similar to the original model with additional premium features like Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). To know for sure, we will have to wait for the official launch later this month.
Nokia is one of the early players in the mobile phone industry and thus, the Finland-based company holds multiple patents that it licenses to other companies. To protect its intellectual property, it sues those who use the patented work without permission.
In line with that, Nokia has now sued the Chinese smartphone company OPPO for patent infringement in four countries — England, France, Germany, and India.
As per the report, OPPO has refused to renew the licensing agreement that allows the use of certain patents. Nokia had signed the agreement with the Chinese company back in the year 2018. It appears that Nokia is using the same legal teams that won the previous patent enforcement campaign against Lenovo and Daimler.
In its official statement, Nokia said that there have been negotiations between the two companies, but OPPO decided to go on its own and rejected all offers. It says: “We have been negotiating the renewal of our patent licensing agreement with Oppo but unfortunately they have rejected our fair and reasonable offers. Litigation is always our last resort and we have offered to enter into independent and neutral arbitration to amicably resolve the matter. We still believe this would be the most constructive way forward.”
On the other hand, OPPO says that Nokia’s action in the matter is “shocking” and has accused the Finnish company of dishonouring the patent licensing under fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) terms.
It’s noteworthy that the issue is not related to the Nokia’s OZO Audio Technology which OPPO has been using on several of its smartphones, including the Find X series and the Reno series. The exact patents of Nokia that OPPO is infringing has not been disclosed.
