The latest certification in Thailand for the Reno 12 model, numbered CPH2625, suggests that the smartphone is ready for its worldwide debut. The phone has also passed regulatory standards in Singapore, which supports various network technologies such as WCDMA, LTE, 5G, and more.

Details on the Reno 12 remain limited, but Geekbench listings suggest it will include an octa-core processor, potentially the Dimensity 8300 SoC, with the Mali G615 MC2 GPU for the global version, and the Dimensity 8250 SoC for China. The device could offer a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution.

For optics, it could feature a 50-megapixel main camera with EIS support, as well as an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. On the front, it could also feature another 50-megapixel sensor for snapping selfies.

Rumors about Samsung‘s next flagship chipset, the Exynos 2500, have been circulating for a while. A new report suggests that the processor might outperform Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in terms of power efficiency.

Earlier this month, Samsung and Synopsys announced in a joint press release that they successfully mass-produced their prototype 3nm process design.

There have been obvious speculations that Samsung would use this 3nm design for their upcoming Exynos 2500 chip. Now, a report by Business Korea claims the same, revealing that the Galaxy S25 series will feature this chip.

The most interesting part of the report is the claim that the Samsung Exynos 2500 will have better energy efficiency than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

Historically, Qualcomm chips have had an edge in terms of raw performance, while Exynos processors have majorly focused on power efficiency. The trend seems likely to continue with the upcoming SoCs if the new rumor is to be believed.

Although there are no numbers or benchmarks yet to support this claim, we also know very little about the core configuration of the Exynos 2500. That will be crucial for determining the chip’s performance and efficiency.

One confirmed feature of the Exynos 2500 is that it will feature ARM Cortex-X5 cores. ARM is rumored to make the Cortex-X5 the most powerful smartphone CPU available that is said to perform better than the Oryon CPU cores expected in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

Tecno has announced the Camon 30 series smartphones in India today. The lineup includes the Camon 30 5G and Camon 30 Premier 5G. The latter arrives as the successor to the last year’s Camon 20 Premier 5G. The latest Camon 30 duo have some key differences between each other. The Premier 5G is a mid-range model under the Rs 40,000 price segment. Read on to know what the devices offer out of the box.

Tecno Camon 30 5G, Camon 30 Premier 5G specifications

The Tecno Camon 30 series smartphones have identical designs with a flat frame and a circular protruding camera module. The back panel has a folder icon-like design that gives professional camera-like vibes. The Camon 30 5G features a marble-texture glass finish whereas the Camon 30 Premier 5G has a suede leather finish.

On the front, the Tecno Camon 30 5G and Camon 30 Premier 5G boast a 6.79-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The standard model has FHD+ resolution with 1,200 nits peak brightness whereas the premier comes with a 1.5K resolution and 1,400 nits peak brightness. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner on both devices.

In terms of imaging, the Tecno Camon 30 5G has a dual rear camera setup of a 100MP main sensor with OIS and a 2MP depth lens. While the reports claiming that Huawei Pura 70 phones have 90% of their parts sourced from Chinese suppliers turned out to be false, research firm TechInsight’s analysis reveals that the phones indeed have a record number of locally sourced semiconductors.

TechInsights’ analysis reveals that the majority of components in the Pura 70 series are from China. The base Pura 70 model shows the highest reliance on Chinese parts, with 33 out of 69 components sourced domestically, compared to only five from non-Chinese suppliers.

The Pura 70 Ultra exclusively uses memory from Yangtze Memory Technologies Corporation (YMTC), China’s leading NAND memory maker, which is also facing US sanctions.

“The ratio of Chinese-procured components was higher in the standard Pura 70 than in the Pro Plus model,” said Stacy Wegner, a TechInsights analyst.

A previous TechInsights analysis revealed that the HiSilicon Kirin chips powering the Pura 70 series are manufactured by Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC), China’s largest chipmaker. That is consistent with the production of the Mate 60 chips, all using the same 7-nanometer process.

Huawei’s reduced reliance on foreign manufacturers is a significant win for the company, especially given the tight restrictions imposed by the US.

Recently, the US revoked chip export licenses from Qualcomm and Intel for Huawei, further limiting access to their products. However, analysts downplay the impact of this move, noting Huawei’s existing capabilities in producing 4G and 5G chipsets for various phone models.

“We don’t expect the revoked licenses to significantly affect Huawei’s smartphone business in 2024,” said Linda Sui, a senior analyst at TechInsights.

The Pad 3 is expected to sport a sizeable 12.1-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2800 x 1968 pixels. Notably, the display offers a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, which could be appealing for gamers or those who prioritize a fluid user experience.

At the heart of the device lies a Snapdragon 8s Gen3 processor. It’s the latest sub-flagship chip from Qualcomm, so you can expect it to handle your everyday tasks as well as gaming. Keeping things running will be a sizeable 10000mAh battery, so the tablet should deliver good stamina on a single charge.

For photos and videos, the Pad 3 will be equipped with a basic camera setup. The front-facing selfie lens will in at 5 megapixels, while the rear will have an 8-megapixel main camera.

Although the official launch of the Poco F6 Pro is slated for May 23rd, an unboxing video of the smartphone has surfaced online, revealing the phone’s design and specifications.

The video, uploaded by ComputerHoy on Dailymotion, shows the phone in its black color scheme. There’s a rectangular camera island that stretches across the edge and edge of the rear panel.

It houses four individual rings: three for cameras and one for the flash. The primary sensor is rumored to be a 50MP unit with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

The camera island has its own glossy character to it, contrasting with the phone’s matte back. The back panel itself is flat with slightly curved edges, mirroring the design of the flat aluminum side frames. The front display, based on the video, appears flat as well, featuring a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

Turning to the specs, the Poco F6 Pro will have a WQHD+ Flow AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it might pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the previous generation’s flagship processor. The software side is said to be handled by Poco’s HyperOS, with support for 120W HyperCharge fast charging.

The unboxing video also reveals that the retail package will include a 120W charging brick, a charging cable, a SIM card ejector tool, and a protective phone case.

Poco F6 Pro is essentially a rebranded Redmi K70 for the global market. It’s price has also been leaked via a recent Amazon listing. The top-tier 16GB RAM and 1TB will retail for EUR 619.90.

Red Magic has finally made its flagship Red Magic 9 Pro gaming smartphone available in India. This Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered device was initially launched in the global market back in December 2023. That said, the brand is shipping these phones from its global website to Indian customers, so you won’t be able to find these devices in your local market.

As for the pricing, and available configurations, the 12GB + 256GB configuration has a price tag of $649 (₹54,038), whereas the top-end 16GB + 512GB model of the device costs $799 (₹66,528). Customers in India will have to pay some additional taxes. We tried shipping these devices to New Delhi, where the total cost came out to be $895.62 (₹74,573) for the 12GB + 256GB config and $1,102 (₹91,757) for the 16GB + 512GB config.

While these prices may look excessive, the Red Magic 9 Pro will still cost comparatively less than the ROG Phone 8 Pro, which is the only other current-gen gaming smartphone available in India. The ROG Phone 8 Pro has a starting price of ₹94,999 (16GB + 512GB), while the 24GB + 1TB model costs ₹1,19,999.

Lenovo has released the Xiaoxin Pad Studio in China. This new tablet is designed to offer good display and sound capabilities for entertainment while remaining budget-friendly.

It sports an 11.5-inch LCD screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate and 2000 x 1200 pixels resolution. The display also supports stylus input, making it a good fit for those who like to take notes or draw.

For audio, Lenovo has partnered with JBL to equip the tablet with a high-quality speaker system. It includes eight speakers—four tweeters and four mid-bass crossover units. This setup is enhanced with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio certification, offering a strong 26 watts of audio power.

The tablet runs on the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, supported by 8 GB of RAM, and can come with up to 256 GB of storage.

Pricing

The Xiaoxin Pad Studio is available in two configurations: the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model starts at 1,299 yuan ($180), while the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model starts at 1,499 yuan ($208). According to a recent report by 91mobiles, several details about the Razr 50 series have emerged. The upcoming Razr 50 5G will be available in gray and khaki color options. Razr 50 Ultra 5G will come in orange, green, and blue colors. The rumors suggest that Motorola will use unique marketing names for these colors.

The render images reveal that the design lines of the Razr 50 series closely resemble those of previous Razr phones. However, an interesting difference between the Razr 50 and the Razr 50 Ultra is that the regular model appears to have thinner screen bezels compared to the Ultra model. Additionally, the Razr 50 Ultra 5G’s cover screen is larger than that of the regular Razr 50 5G.

Razr 50 5G will feature a 6.9″ POLED display with a 1080 x 2640 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display is a 3.63-inch POLED panel. The phone has a dual camera setup with 50MP and 13MP sensors. Additionally, it includes a 32MP selfie camera. The phone is expected to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It weighs 188g and is 7.2mm thick. The phone packs a 4200mAh battery.

Razr 50 Ultra 5G, on the other hand, has much better specs. It will come with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. The phone also features a 6.9″ POLED display with a 1080 x 2640 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The cover screen has a 4.0-inch POLED panel. Razr 50 Ultra 5G comes with a dual camera setup with two 50MP sensors and a 32MP selfie shooter on the front. The phone is available with 12GB of RAM and a 512GB variant. It has a 4000mAh battery capacity and supports 45W charging.

Decathlon Van Rysel E-GRVL AF MD versatile e-bike unveiled in Europe

Decathlon has released the Van Rysel E-GRVL AF MD electric bicycle in Europe. The Decathlon Van Rysel E-GRVL AF MD is an e-gravel bike that was announced earlier this year. It comes with a powerful mid-mounted Brose Drive T Mag motor and a 500Wh battery. The model has now gone on sale in Europe.

Decathlon says that the Van Rysel E-GRVL AF MD is the brand’s most efficient electric gravel bike so far. Its mid-mounted 250W Brose Drive T Mag motor delivers a maximum torque of 70Nm. There are four modes to choose from while riding the e-bike and it also comes with handlebar controls.

The bike’s 500Wh battery delivers an assistance range of 150km and can be further extended with the optional range extender. The versatility of the new e-gravel bike is underpinned by its DT Swiss HG 1800 Spline wheels with Michelin Power Gravel 700 x 47 tires and an SRAM Apex 12-speed groupset.

The Decathlon Van Rysel E-GRVL AF MD has front and rear lights, a color TFT display, and Bluetooth connectivity. You can view ride data using the Decathlon Ride app on your smartphone while connected to the e-bike via Bluetooth. The bike will be available in seven frame sizes but only the smaller four sizes (XS to L) are currently available.
