Oppo has just made the new Find X2 League of Legends Limited Edition available for reservations in China. This special version of the Find X2 arrives with a special theme and design, which is based around the immensely popular MOBA game title.
Earlier this week, the company’s official Weibo account, a Chinese microblogging website, shared a post that announced the release of the device and offered links for reservations for potential buyers. The reservation can be made from two different websites and is only available for the people in China. The Find X2 special edition sports 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage and will feature a custom new design and exclusive theme as well.
Its launch celebrates League of Legends 11th year anniversary and features the Worlds 2020 logo on the back, which is the name of its professional esports league. The device arrives in greenish-blue color scheme on the rear, with golden accents around the bottom that surround the camera module as well. Apart from the design, the internals is identical to the regular Find X2 variants.
The on-going US-China trade war keeps intensifying with every passing week. In the latest development, the U.S. State Department has submitted a proposal to add China’s Ant Group to a trade blacklist.
The development was first reported by Reuters, citing two people aware of the matter. However, it is not yet clear when the relevant agency in the government will review the company to determine its addition to the Entity List.
The news comes at a crucial time as the Ant Group is going public and could be worth up to $35 billion with dual lists in Shanghai and Hong Kong. It is reported that the move from the U.S. comes as the China hardliners are seeking to deter U.S. investors from taking part in the initial public offering (IPO).
The Trump officials fear Ant could potentially give the Chinese government access to sensitive banking data belonging to U.S. users. This is the same reason that the U.S. government has been using to ban Chinese companies, without actually offering any proof to back the claim.
Adding Chinese companies to the Entity List has become the go-to move for the United States government. It started with Huawei in May last year, which has made it very difficult for the company to carry on with its smartphone business.
While the move of adding the company to Entity List has been effective for Huawei, the same move for Ant Group is unlikely to have any substantial effect given that the company has only 5 percent of its business outside of China.
For those who are unaware, Ant Group is the leading mobile payments company in China and offers several services, including loans, payments, insurance, and asset management. Alibaba Group Holding has a 33 percent stake in Ant and the company is controlled by Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba.
Google Recorder app was first introduced with the Pixel 4 series last year. The tech has now introduced an improved version called Google Recorder 2.0. The new version comes with several improvements over last year’s version and is only available for the Pixel 5.
In case you don’t know, the Google Recorder app gives users an easy way to record and transcribe audio on their device without an internet connection. Some of the new features the Recorder 2.0 brings includes one to help users find, edit, and share their audio recordings.
Apart from that, it comes with Smart Scrolling which is to aid the editing of transcript over 150 words long. In this case, Google Recorder will automatically find important keywords and place them on a scrollbar to help you quickly jump to important sections of the transcription. The words will appear as soon as you start scrolling through the transcription.
The app also comes with an improved audio editing feature which lets you edit the voice recording by editing the transcript. When you tap on the scissors icon, it quickly jumps to the editing screen. There are two new buttons at the bottom of the transcription, one to crop and another to remove. You can remove a sentence from your recording by simply highlighting the sentence and tapping on the Remove button. But if the goal is to keep one section away from the recording without deleting, you can highlight it and then press Crop. This action will remove the non-highlighted part from your recording.
Further, Google Recorder 2.0 now lets users convert audio files to video files so that it will be easy to share. Most social media platforms don’t support sharing audio clips but with the conversion, you can now share your audio clips. This can be done by tapping the Share icon in the app, and then select “Video clip.” The app then automatically converts the audio clip into a video file with the waveform and transcript embedded inside. You even get the option to customize the video by Content, Layout, and Theme for audio clips that are up to 60 seconds long.
The new version also comes with a text correction feature. This feature will let you easily fix mistakes made during automatic transcriptions.
Drone-maker DJI has today officially launched two new gimbals — RS 2 and the RSC 2. It seems that the company has rebranded the Ronin series for shorter names. Both of them are three-axis gimbals and comes with noticeable upgrades.
The company claims that the devices are built using carbon fiber material, making them lightweight. The DJI RS2 weighs 1.3 kilograms and can support a dynamic payload of 4.5 kilograms, enough to carry DSLRs and lenses.

There’s a 1.4-inch touchscreen display that shows settings, camera data, and transmits a live feed of what is being recorded on the camera.
The devices come with support for Titan Stabilization Algorithm and a new vertical and low-angle Briefcase modes that allow content creators to record interest views and angles that would be difficult to do manually.
The gimbals also have support for SuperSmooth — a software enhancement that is designed for smoothing out movements when shooting with a tighter lens of up to 100mm focal length.
The company has repositioned the follow focus wheel on the front side of the handle and sits comfortably above the index finger. Further, the gimbals are compatible with Arca Swiss & Manfrotto plates.
Coming to the pricing, the DJI RS 2 is now available for $849 while the Combo bundle with additional accessories costs $999. On the other hand, the DJI RSC 2 is priced at $499 and the Combo Bundle is available for $739.
OPPO, the China-based company known for making smartphones, has been trying to diversify its offering. In line with that, the company is now all set to launch its first Smart TV on 19th October in its home country.
Ahead of the official launch, the company has been revealing some key information about the OPPO Smart TV. In the latest teaser post on Weibo, the company has confirmed its partnership with Dynaudio for the upcoming TV models.
However, it seems that the OPPO TV won’t be the only product from the company to have support for Dynaudio. As per the recent leak, the Chinese brand is working on new TWS earphones dubbed as OPPO Enco X, in partnership with Dynaudio.
An image of the upcoming true wireless earphones from the company has also leaked online, which shows that the logo of Dynaudio will be printed on the back panel of the charging case for the earphones.
While the company has not yet confirmed this, some reports indicate that the OPPO Enco X TWS earphones could get launched along with the OPPO Smart TV on 19th October in China. To know for sure, we will have to wait for a few more days.
If the leaks are to be believed, then the company will launch three Smart TV models — R1 55-inch, R1 65-inch, and S1 65-inch. All three of them will reportedly have Quantum Dot Full-Screen display and 120Hz refresh rate.
For those who are unaware, Dynaudio is a Danish audio company known for making loudspeakers for home, studio, and car. Founded in 1977, it claims to offer exceptional sound quality and design in every product. Additionally, the company says that it builds speakers using only their own drivers.
Xiaomi‘s Youpin platform has played host to a new product Dabai super-power ion voice-activated smart toilet launched under crowdfunding. The original price is 3599 yuan ($535) while it will retail for 2,288 yuan ($340) during the crowdfunding exercise.
Dabai super-power ion voice-activated smart toilet is equipped with Dabai’s first intelligent AI voice chip which responds efficiently. For example, when you say “open the lid”, the lid will automatically open.
In terms of design, the high-transmittance glass panel is integrated into the LED digital display interface, and the icons are bright and lively. Thus, operating the smart toilet at night is worry-free and clearly visible.
When a person approaches, the flip cover is automatically sensed, the foot senses, and the seat ring automatically lifts. Thus, you don’t have to manually lift the lid which is a may of reducing cross-infection.
The toilet also incorporates advanced plasma sterilization technology used in the medical industry. After it is turned on, sterilization ions are continuously released within 2 hours, targeting the inside of the toilet, penetrating the inner core of bacteria in all directions. It destroys the structure of the bacterial DNA and RNA, thoroughly sterilizing the bowl.
Dabai’s patented secondary siphon flushing technology is powerful and efficient, and with the surrounding vigorous vortex flushing, it can quickly take away the dirt, leaving no sewage residue, and cleaning more thoroughly.
The smart toilet also supports the patented constant temperature washing, buttocks washing/bide washing, 6-speed warm air drying, ECO constant temperature seat and other functions.
The product is available on the Youpin website and is expected to start shipping on November 10.
The upcoming LG K92 5G smartphone has appeared on Google Play Console (via MySmartPrice) with some of its key specs. It is not the first time that the K92 5G appeared in news. At the beginning of this month, reputed tipster Evan Blass had shared a leaked render of the smartphone to reveal its entire design.
LG K92 5G Specifications
The Google Play Console listing of the LG K92 5G features its front render. It shows the phone’s display has a punch-hole placed at the top-center position. The front image resembles the image that was shared by Blass.
The screen size of the LG K92 5G is not mentioned in the Play Console listing. What is known is that the display supports a full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2,400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 420ppi pixel density.
The LG K92 5G boots to Android 10 OS and it has 6 GB of RAM. The phone draws power from Qualcomm’s SM6350, which is nothing but the 5G-ready Snapdragon 690 chipset. The other details of the phone are under wraps, but there are speculations it may borrow some of its specs from the Snapdragon 765G powered LG Q92 5G phone.
The leaked render of the LG K92 5G reveals that its rear side features a two-tone design. The left corner of the phone’s back has a 64-megapixel camera setup, and its right corner features a quad-LED flash unit. Also, it is fitted with a side-facing fingerprint sensor. It is known that the handset is heading to the U.S. markets and will be available through Cricket Wireless. However, there is no word on whether other markets will be receiving the K92 5G.
A couple of days ago, Apple finally launched its much-awaited iPhone 12 series smartphones with 5G connectivity support. Also, for the first time ever, all the iPhone models now feature an OLED display.
This time, the company has launched four models — iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The phones come in three different display sizes — 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.7-inch.
Thanks to this push for the OLED panels on all models of Apple iPhone 12, the shipments from Samsung Display and LG Display — supplier of these panels — have increased.
As per the report, LG Display has supplied panels for the 6.1-inch display models, i.e. iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro while the panel for the other two models — 5.4-inch iPhone Mini and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max have been supplied by Samsung Display.
The Cupertino-based giant is expected to produce around 70 million units of Apple iPhone 12 models by the end of this year. Keeping an additional 10 percent as a reserve, Samsung and LG are expected to provide around 80 million units of OLED panels.
In that, the portion of panels from Samsung Display is more than that of LG Display. While LG is expected to provide 20 million units, Samsung could be providing around 60 million units of OLED panels to Apple.
The numbers represent a significant increase in order for LG Display which provided only 5 million units of the display panels to Apple last year. Samsung, on the other hand, had provided around 50 million units.
China-based BOE also tried to become a supplier for the OLED panels to Apple but it wasn’t approved in the first attempt. However, there are reports indicating that BOE could provide panels to Apple later this year or next year.
For those who are unaware, Apple first adopted an OLED display in 2017 with iPhone X. The iPhone 11 had two models using OLED panel — Pro and Pro Max. But this time, all four models in the lineup have adopted the OLED screen instead of LCD.
Yesterday, a tipster revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 10T that went official last month in international markets will be debuting in China as the Redmi K30S. According to a new report on MyDrivers, China Mobile’s Weibo account published a post carried an image of the Xiaomi Mi 10T. The Chinese telecom operator mentioned the device as the Redmi K30S. The Weibo post has been taken down, but its screenshot is now doing rounds on Weibo.
Redmi is yet to confirm the arrival of the Redmi K30S, but the rumor mill is speculating that it may go official by the end of this month or early November. It is unclear whether a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro will be also announced alongside the Redmi K30S.
After the Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom, the upcoming K30S could be the third Snapdragon 865 mobile platform power smartphone from Xiaomi’s sub-brand. It could be housing a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with a punch-hole design. The full HD+ resolution supporting screen may support up to 144Hz refresh rate.
The display punch-hole could be equipped with a 20-megapixel selfie camera. The triple camera setup placed on the backside of the phone could be equipped with a 64-megapixel primary shooter, a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens with 123-degree FOV, and a 5-megapixel macro shooter.
The MIUI 12 based Android 10 OS will come preloaded on the Redmi K30S. It could be backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. It may feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner. At present, there is no word on the pricing of the Redmi K30S for the Chinese markets.

The OnePlus 8T that was launched today comes with support for 65W fast charging. The good thing about the bundled charger is that it works not only for the OnePlus 8T but is also backward compatible with other OnePlus phones and also supports other charging protocols. It is also sold separately, so you can purchase it for your compatible devices. So how much does it cost?
The OnePlus Warp Charge 65 Power Adapter varies in price (and design) from one region to another but is still affordable. Below are the prices for the main regions:
India = INR 1,990
US = $34.99
Europe = €39.99
UK = £37.99
It is important to state that the price is of the charger alone. If you want a USB-C to USB-C cable, you will have to purchase that separately.
We don’t have the price for China as the OnePlus 8T doesn’t launch there until tomorrow.
The OnePlus Warp Charge 65 Power adapter supports the following power outputs:
5V 3A, 10V 6.5A
PDO: 5V 3A, 9V 3A, 12V 3A, 15V 3A, 20V 2.25A
PPS 3.3-16V 3A Max (45.0W Max)
The above power outputs show the OnePlus Warp Charge 65 Power Adapter will charge a wide variety of phones and even other devices such as the Nintendo Switch which supports 15V 2.6A (39W).
OnePlus usually unveils exclusive official cases with every smartphone. That is the case with the OnePlus 8T and this time, the company has cranked it up a notch by launching more than one shades of Cyan.
To begin with, OnePlus launched four new shades of official cases with the OnePlus 8T. They are Karbon Bumper Case, Quantum Bumper case Cyborg Cyan. And, two Black and Cyan shades of Sandstone Bumper case. These are accessories and are sold separately. However, OnePlus bundles a silicone TPU(Thermoplastic Polyurethane) case in the box along with OnePlus 8T. This silicone case has a big ‘Never Settle’ logo on the sides.
OnePlus 8T cases – Prices
All the cases will be sold via the OnePlus official website. The Indian(₹), USA($), and Europe(€) prices are listed below:
Quantum Bumper case Cyborg Cyan- ₹1,490/$34.99/€32.95.
Keeping that’s aside, we feel the coolest of them is the Quantum Bumper case Cyborg Cyan. OnePlus says it has a futuristic design and is a Special Edition. It has patterns like a circuit board and few who got the cases early say it has a 3D effect when moved.

OnePlus says the cases are aimed to match the Aquamarine Green color of the OnePlus 8T with a translucent design and higher impact resistance. It weighs case is 36g, measures 16.37cm*7.79cm*1.13cm, and is made of PET(Polyethylene terephthalate) and TPU.
This is probably known to many OnePlus users. OnePlus usually makes a Karbon Bumper case for its flagship models and 8T gets it too. The material used is Kevlar and TPU. Kevlar is a synthetic polymer. It weighs 24g and measures 16.34cm*7.75cm*1.05cm. Just like other cases, we can expect durability and comfort here. But the design gives a lot of carbon-fiber texture throughout.

One of the products expected to launch at today’s OnePlus event is the OnePlus Watch but that didn’t happen. The device was certified by the IMDA in August, and last month, a leak revealed the smartwatch will have a round dial. While it didn’t launch today, OnePlus has confirmed that a smartwatch is indeed coming.
A tweet by the OnePlus India account shows the sketch for a wearable that was made back in 2015, revealing that OnePlus has actually been planning it for a while.
The tweet has the caption “More things are coming to the OnePlus ecosystem. It’s just a matter of time”. The second sentence also hints at the coming of a OnePlus timepiece.
There is no info on when the smartwatch will arrive, and if you were to ask us, we do not think it will arrive this year. We believe OnePlus may want to unveil such an important product alongside a flagship device such as the OnePlus 9 or OnePlus 9 Pro. Nevertheless, this is just speculation and we anticipate its arrival.
The LG G8X launched last year as LG’s flagship for the second half. The Snapdragon 855-powered phone which comes with a dual-screen accessory launched for INR 49,999 (~$682) in India. When Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale begins later this week, it will sell for less than half the launch price. If you plan to pick it up, there is something you should know.
The official LG India Twitter account revealed in a tweet that the LG G8X will not come with a charger or adapter in the box during the festive sale. The tweet was a reply to an inquiry by Tech YouTuber, C4ETech, who asked for confirmation on the reports about the phone not shipping with a charger.
Thank you for writing to us. The product LG G8X mobile does not come with a charger/adapter during the festive sale on Flipkart. You need to buy it separately by visiting the nearest LG service center. The product is genuine and original. It’s not refurbished material.
LG says users will have to purchase a charger separately at an LG service center. It also clarified that the phone is new and not refurbished even though it lacks a charger.
It is surprising that the phone isn’t shipping with a charger since that was not the case when it launched last year. The device is currently listed on Flipkart for INR 54,990 (~$750) but when the sales begin on October 16, the device will sell for INR 19,999 (~$273) with the Dual Screen accessory in the box.
The LG G8X has a 6.4-inch OLED FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch and Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The Snapdragon 855 processor is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
There is a 32MP camera in front for selfies while the back which is covered with Gorilla Glass 5 has a 12MP primary camera + 13MP ultrawide angle camera setup. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers with 3D surround sound, and Hi-Fi Quad DAC. It also has NFC, an IP68 rating, and a 4000mAh battery with support for 21W fast charging, Quick Charge 4.0, and 9W wireless charging.
For INR 19,999, the LG G8X seems like a really good deal with all it has to offer and you should be able to get a supported wired charger for under INR 2000 (~$27).
AnTuTu, a benchmarking application, has released a ranking of best price-to-performance smartphones for September 2020. The charts are divided based on the price segment and value for money score is given accordingly. So, devices like Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi 10X 5G, iQOO 3, and 5 Pro top the charts in their own categories.
First, the AnTuTu report has a few pre-requisites and standards to make the list. The test is calculated using the V8 version of the AnTuTu app. Besides, it has prepared the ranking charts by dividing the “Performance score” by “Current Price”(in China). Also, the pre-requisite for the device is it must make it to the overall AnTuTu performance ranking. The report also says that if the device doesn’t make it to the performance list, or if its current availability is doubtful, it won’t make it to the list.
1. Low budget category- 0 to 1499 yuan($0-$223)
Begining the list is a budget category of devices whose range is between 0-1499 yuan($0-223). As per the AnTuTu report, Redmi Note 8 Pro 6GB/64GB tops the chart. It is selling for 1099 yuan in China and scores a 284,641 on AnTuTu. Hence, it gets a value for money score of 259. It is followed by Redmi 9, Redmi 10X 4G, Honor Play 4T Pro, Redmi K30, Realme V5 5G, and Vivo Y5s.
Factors like Price, and features like copper-cooling, 64MP camera, MediaTek Helio G90T on Redmi Note 8 Pro, and FHD display, MediaTek Helio G80 has reportedly made them popular. And topple the likes of more powerful Redmi 10X 4G, and Realme V5.
2. Budget category 1500-1999 yuan($223-$297)
This list is again dominated by Redmi devices with Redmi 10X 5G, K30 Ultra, K30 5G captured the first three spots. Accordingly, their score is 250, 240.9, and 202.9 respectively. The list also has other entrants like iQOO Z1x, Honor X10, Redmi K30i 5G, Honor 9X, Mi 10 Youth Edition 5G, Vivo Y70s, OPPO A92s.
3. Mid-range category 2000-2999 yuan($297-$446)
As we move to the higher price segments, competitors like iQOO, Realme come to squeeze Redmi that is dominant in budget range. The iQOO’s Z1 and Neo 3 grab the top two spots with scores 233.2, and 216 respectively. Also, MediaTek’s Dimensity SoC dominates the scene with the Dimensity 1000 devices acquiring substantial positions. The list has other entrants like Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi 10X Pro 5G, Honor 20 Pro, Huawei nova6 5G, Honor Play4 Pro, and Honor 30S, and Huawei nova7 SE.
As we climb up to the flagship territory, Qualcomm Snapdragon devices start to shake the charts. This category has iQOO 3 topping the chart with a score of 181.0. It is followed by Oppo Ace 2, and Black Shark 3 with scores of 178.4, and 176.3. Interestingly, Black Shark 3 captures the third spot, while Aus’s ROG 3 is pushed down to last. Besides, all of the devices have Snapdragon 8 series of SoCs, faster UFS memory, faster charging, and higher MP cameras. Hence, the value for money hovers a bit less and it will probably boil down to the UI that a user prefers.
Finally, the premium flagship is once more dominated by iQOO. This time it’s the iQOO 5 Pro. It’s 8GB/256GB variant topped the chart with a score of 132.0. It is followed by Xiaomi’s Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition (Ultra) and Mi 10 Pro smartphones with scores of 119.9, and 119.2 respectively.
The list has other entrants from Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus but Samsung’s Galaxy S20 and S20+ surprisingly occupy the last two places.
OnePlus Nord, which launched back in July, gets a new color variant today. OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus Nord ‘Gray Ash’ edition alongside the OnePlus 8T. The new variant, however, will be available only in one storage option.

Talking about the color, the new Gray Ash gives a subtle finish to the rear of the OnePlus Nord. The Gray Ash is, however, less intense compared to the company’s Gray Onyx color. From the official images, the rear glass looks like it has a more matte finish than the glossy paint job found on Blue Marble and Gray Onyx variants.
OnePlus Nord Specifications
That said, the rest of the device is identical. Its base variant 6GB/64GB variant starts at ₹24,999 exclusively for India. But the other 8GB/128GB, and 12GB/256GB storage variants are available both in Europe and India. It features a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED 90Hz display, Snapdragon 765 5G SoC, 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor-equipped quad rear camera, and a 32MP Sony IMX616 sensor-equipped dual-selfie cameras. Apple yesterday took the wraps off the iPhone 12 series which is made up of four different models – iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. As usual, the iPhone 12 models have continued to generate mixed reactions in the industry. It is not common for you to see a review of another brand’s product from a viral brand exec bu when it is Apple, expect anything.
Redmi’s product director Wang Teng Thomas shared its thoughts about the iPhone 12 models. While his opinion is entirely personal, they could sway a few buyers. The Xiaomi exec extolled the iPhone 12 as having the largest upgrade out of the four models. This is in comparison to the iPhone 11. Apple utilised an OLED screen for the 12 and 12 mini. The models also come with 5G connectivity and A14 Bionic chipset. Mr Wang believes the iPhone 12 will see the most sales over time.
On the other hand, he opined that the iPhone 12 Pro upgrade isn’t worth the price and gave a prediction that it may be the worst-selling model among the lot.
The iPhone 12 mini comes with a 5.4-inch screen while the iPhone 12 has a 6.1-inch screen. The iPhone 12 Pro utilises a 6.1-inch display and the iPhone 12 Pro Max packs a 6.7-inch screen. The major highlight of the iPhone 12 series is definitely the 5G connectivity onboard. Some may also find the shift from LCD to OLED panel on the base models fascinating.
Alongside the OnePlus 8T, the company has launched an affordable Truly Wireless Earbuds, OnePlus Buds Z. Starting at $43.5(₹3,190) in India, the earbuds offer 10mm drivers, IP55 rating, and more.

OnePlus Buds Z Pricing, Availability, and release date
The OnePlus Buds Z will be available as early access in India on October 15, at 0:00 IST. And, it will go for sale on the OnePlus website and Amazon starting November 2 in the USA, Canada, and November 4 in the UK. The special edition will be available sometime in November 2020. It’s price details are below:
USA- $45.99
India-$43.50(₹3,190)
Canada-$69.99
UK-£55
Design
Design-wise, the Buds Z has a seashell design with polished CD patterns. It has an in-ear design angled earbuds with silicone ear tips. The charging case has a bit cylindrical design and it comes in Grey, White colors, and a special Steven Harrington Edition. The weight of each bud is 4.35g and the charging case is 40g.
Audio
Talking about audio, OnePlus Buds Z has a 10mm driver unit for punchier bass. It also has Dolby Atmos support that features bass boost, and dynamic 3D stereo audio. However, the Dolby Atmos works only on OnePlus 7/7 Pro, 7T/7T Pro, and 8/8 Pro/8T. Next, the Buds Z features ENC(Environmental Noise Cancellation) but lacks ANC that is on its higher-priced sibling. It also supports Dirac Audio Digital Technology, and Panoramic sound fidelity to aid 3D stereo.
OnePlus claims a 20hrs of playback time with earbuds and the charging case combined. This means you get about 5hrs with each bud and extra 15hrs with the case. However, OnePlus says this is subject to keeping the volume 1/3 of max and playing it in AAC mode.
The company says the earbuds supports fast charging and a 10-minute charge gives up to 3hrs playback. However, the 3hrs is a combination of earbuds and case which means the earbuds will give about 1.5hrs playback. Also, it requires a minimum of 5V~0.6A charger and a Type-C cable.
Other features
OnePlus Buds Z has Other features like IP55 rating for water and sweat resistance, 2-microphones, touch controls, Quick Pair, Quick Switch, ultra-low latency mode of 103ms, access to Google Assistant, and more. Here, the latency mode works only with Fnatic mode on OnePlus 6,7,8 series, and Nord devices. Also, Quick pair lets you automatically connect to devices on opening the case. It also has a “HeyMelody” app feature that tells the status and of the buds. You can also customize the tap functions in the app.
Riding on the success of the OnePlus 8 series models that were released earlier this year, OnePlus has officially announced the OnePlus 8T 5G in a virtual event held today. The premium flagship model promises a host of topnotch features but less improvement compared to previous models in the T series.
First, the model wasn’t upgraded to the Snapdragon 865+ chipset as used to be the case but retains the Snapdragon 865 chipset just like we earlier reported. The Snapdragon 865 is the same chipset utilised on the OnePlus 8 and it teams up with a Snapdragon X55 5G Modem-RF System, which enables staggering multi-gigabit 5G connectivity, professional-quality photography at Gigapixel speeds, desktop-level gaming with ultra-realistic graphics, and intuitive AI experiences. The processor also brings support for dual-mode NSA + SA 5G and Wi-Fi 6 enabling faster, more reliable data speeds.
The processor is paired with 8GB / 12GB RAM while there are 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage options.
Next, we take a look at the OnePlus 8T 5G display. The flagship device packs a 6.55-inch Fluid 2.5D flexible AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, Just Noticeable Color Difference (JNCD) of around 0.3, a peak brightness of up to 1,100 nits and 8,192 levels of brightness. The display is the first flat 120Hz display ever to earn an A+ rating from DisplayMate.
For photography, the OnePlus 8T 5G features a robust and versatile camera kit designed to efficiently capture any and every moment in crisp detail. The packs a quad-camera system at the rear which includes a 48MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and dedicated macro and monochrome lenses, letting users enjoy studio-level photography on the go. There is equally a 123-degree ultra-wide lens on the OnePlus 8T 5G which provides a new perspective for framing shots so users can confidently capture vast landscapes, expansive architecture and other wide-angle subjects in full view. The camera also comes with an improved Nightscape mode. The new Video Portrait mode produces vivid clips with a natural bokeh effect based on improved AI, accurately detecting and analyzing human subjects and blurring out the background.
The OP8T packs a 4500mAh battery but this time around instead of one cell, it is split to two different cells for better heat dissipation. The device comes with the company’s proprietary Warp Charge 65 which is OnePlus’ most advanced charging solution ever. For reference, the charger can deliver up to 60% charge in just 15 minutes. The battery can charge from zero to full charge in just 39 minutes. The phone tags along 12 temperature sensors as well as an extra encryption chip in the adapter and cable, to keep charging temperatures at a comfortable level while operating at a peak output of 65W.

For the interface, the OnePlus 8T 5G arrives as the first smartphone apart from Google Pixel models to run Android 11 OS out of the box. The device runs on Oxygen OS 11 based on Android 11. Televisions have become one of the main source of entertainment during the pandemic. This resulted in the increase of TV shipments after a very long time. OLED TVs in particular also witnessed growth in shipments despite the forecast was lowered earlier this year, according to a report by Omdia.
OMDIA (formerly IHS Markit) is a research firm similar to Counterpoint Research and IDC to name a few. Back in April, the firm predicted that OLED TV shipments will be 3.5 million units in 2020. An earlier report by the same company forecasted 4.5 million and at the end of last year, it predicted 5.5 million units.
But now, it says the OLED TV shipments will only reach 3.3 million units, which is still 10% more than in 2019. Also, the company predicts that shipments will reach 1.2 million units in the last quarter of 2020 and 1.04 million units in Q1 2021. According to the firm, the Q4 2020 shipments will be 30% compared to Q4 2019.
That’s not all, as per OMDIA, OLED TV shipments may reach 9 million units in 2024. Above all, the overall shipments have finally crossed 10 million units in September (10.32 million units) since LG launched the first commercial OLED TV in 2013.
Currently, a total of 19 brands offer OLED televisions. This number is expected to grow in the coming years. Last but not least, LG Display is the dominant OLED panel supplier in the world.
