The Honor 30 series is about to get bigger with the launch of the Honor 30 Youth Edition 5G (Honor 30 Lite 5G). The phone has been in the news since May, and now it has an official launch date.
The official Honor Weibo account has revealed that the Honor 30 Youth Edition 5G will be launched on Thursday, July 2. This is the same day the Honor X10 Max will be unveiled.
The poster shows the device in two colorways, both with a gradient design. It also shows the Honor 30 Lite will have triple rear cameras and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Leaks have revealed the phone will be powered by the Dimensity 800 processor. It will also have a 48MP primary rear camera, a 16MP selfie camera, a 4000mAh battery, and support for 22.5W fast charging.
The Honor 30 Youth Edition 5G is expected to be announced outside China but as the Honor 30 Lite 5G. The launch should happen after its debut in China.
The MIUI 12 was first announced in April and since then, Xiaomi has been seeding out the beta update to a couple of models in China and even on the global turf. A recent report indicated that stable update has even started rolling out to the Mi 9, Mi 9 Pro 5G, Mi 10 Youth, Redmi K30 5G and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom. Xiaomi as now commenced rolling out MIUI 12 Stable update to even more models in China.
The first batch of the update which started rolling out on June 28 will be available for thirteen (13) different models. The models include the Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10, Mi 10 Youth Edition, Mi 9 Pro 5G, Mi 9 Explorer Edition, Mi 9, Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition, Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30, Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition, Redmi K20 Pro, and the Redmi K20.
Users of these models can directly update their phones to the latest MIUI skin by navigating to Settings> My Device> About phone and check for the new update. However, in order to avoid overloading its servers due to traffic, the update will be pushed via OTA to the affected models from today (June 28).
Apart from the new features that MIUI 12 brings (you can read about them from here), the new update is said to also deliver two new super wallpapers that will be available to users on the app store.
With this development, we can expect that the MIUI 12 Global update will start rolling out soon.

If you desire a premium design that has nothing to envy to the most beautiful flagships out there, go for the Oppo Reno4 Pro 5G. Camera
While Realme X3 and Honor Play4 Pro are just midrange camera phones, the Oppo Reno4 Pro 5G is a real high-end camera phone. It is equipped with a rear triple camera including a 48 MP f/1.7 main sensor with OIS, a 13 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 12 MP ultrawide sensor which can also be used as a dedicated video camera. The stabilization is amazing in both photos and videos. Even the front camera is impressive with its 32 MP resolution. Honor Play4 Pro is still an above-average camera phone with its 40 MP main sensor and a telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom, as well as a dual ultrawide front camera. If you want a 5G phone with a pretty large display, then the upcoming Honor X10 Max should be on your radar. The phone is being touted as the 5G phone with the biggest display. Ahead of the phone’s launch, live photos showing all three color variants it will be available in have been posted on Weibo.
The Honor X10 Max will come in black, blue, and purple as seen in the images below. The phone has stereo speakers (speaker grille at the top and bottom), an audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.

The phone is also shown to have two cameras, one of which is a 48MP sensor. The writing on the camera housing reads “Super Night Vision” which means it has enhanced features for taking pictures in low-light. The pictures were posted by Digital Chat Station and he added that the phone has support for multi-functional NFC too.
None of the images show the front of the phone but an earlier leak already revealed the Honor X10 Max’ 7.02-inch FHD+ screen has a waterdrop notch. It has also been reported that the display uses RGBW technology which enhances the brightness and reduces power consumption.
Honor will ship the phone with a MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor, a 5000mAh battery, and support for 22.5W fast charging. It will also run Magic UI based on Android 10 out of the box when it launches on July 2.
The OnePlus Nord is an upcoming mid-range phone that is expected to be the first of a new line of affordable smartphones from the manufacturer. With a release scheduled for July, OnePlus has begun teasing the device and dropping bits of information.
Last week, it was officially revealed that the smartphone will have dual front-facing cameras, which is a first for a OnePlus phone. This info means the OnePlus Nord will not look like the renders that leaked back in December.
What if the OnePlus Nord looks like the Reno4 5G?
Lately, there are rumors flying around that the OnePlus Nord might actually be a rebadged OPPO phone (probably OPPO Reno4 5G) and that will not be a big surprise. OnePlus is not new to launching phones with a similar design to an existing OPPO phone. The OnePlus 5 and the OPPO R11 is a great example.
Of course, the phone won’t be a blatant copy as OnePlus will add some features and ship the phone with OxygenOS rather than ColorOS. However, it will be easy to tell that the design is not original.

Realme has announced a new colorway for the Realme Narzo 10. The new color variant comes almost a week after the manufacturer announced a 4GB RAM + 54GB version of the Realme Narzo 10A.
The new color is called “That Blue” and the first sale is scheduled for June 30 at noon. The price tag remains unchanged at ₹11,999 (~$159).
The Realme Narzo 10 was announced in May in India as a rebadged version of the Realme 6i that launched in Myanmar in March. When it launched, it was announced in two colors – That White and That Green. However, only the white variant and the new blue color variant are available on the official online store.
The Realme Narzo 10 has a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch. It is powered by an Helio G80 processor and packs 4GB of RAM. There is 128GB of storage along with a dedicated MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. You also get 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP quad rear cameras and a 16MP selfie camera.
The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging and reverse charging. It also has a USB-C port and an audio jack and ships with Android 10 pre-installed.
Apple has through a new security patch on the latest iOS 14 exposed the number of smartphone apps that read contents of users’ clipboards whenever they are on screen. Popular video-sharing app TikTok is among the apps involved it that practice.
The popular video-sharing app had earlier been caught in this act but in March, TikTok told the Telegraph that the practice will be stopped in a few weeks. Apparently, that didn’t happen the new iOS14 feature that alerts users when an app tries to access the clipboard detected it still does. Other apps that also access users’ clipboards include Overstock, Accuweather, AliExpress, Patreon, Call of Duty Mobile and Google News.
A TikTok spokesman clarified that a feature on the app which is designed to identify repetitive and spammy behaviour is the culprit. He also disclosed that a new update has been submitted to the Apple App store which removes the anti-spam feature which accesses the clipboard. However, it wasn’t stated when the update will be available on Android devices.
Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Watch 3 smartwatch in July. Earlier this week, reputed leakster had shared a press render of the Galaxy Watch 3. The tipster has now shared high-quality press renders of the smartwatch to reveal its color variants.
The new renders show that the Galaxy Watch 3 will be arriving black and bronze color editions. While the latter appears like rose gold, Blass claims that the color variant will be called Bronze. The Bronze model will come in 41mm size and the black variant will come in 45mm size. In the second image, the ‘Wed 22’ date mentioned in the watch face suggests that Samsung may announce it on July 22 that falls on a Wednesday.

The Rs. 4X,999 pricing could belong to a larger 55-inch edition. These three TVs could be a part of a new TV lineup from the company. The 32-inch model may arrive with support for HD resolution. The other two models may support Full HD and Quad HD resolution, respectively. With such pricing, OnePlus is expected to rival the likes of Xiaomi, Nokia, and Vu in India.
The pre-bookings of the upcoming OnePlus TV have started on Amazon India. Those who pre-book it will be able to take advantage of the 2-year extended warranty for free.
The detailed specs of the three models are under wraps. The company has confirmed that the new TV has a 6.9mm super-slim body and it offers a screen-to-body ratio of 95 percent. However, if the company plans on keeping the affordable price tag of the phone while adding support for 5G, it may have to go for a less-powerful processor.
The Chinese leaker that goes by Digital Chat Station on Weibo said in a post that Realme’s options for a 5G version of the Realme X3 SuperZoom are the Snapdragon 765G or Dimensity 800.
It remains to be seen if Realme will launch the phone in China in the first place, but if it does, it will be better to launch it with support for 5G. And to do that, a mid-range 5G chipset will be its best bet so it can keep the price tag low.
Recent reports have revealed that the Honor X10 Max 5G that is scheduled to go official on July 2 has a KKG-AN00 model number. The KKG-AN00 smartphone recently appeared at the database of China’s TENAA telecom authority with entire specifications and images. Now, the handset has surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking platform to confirm key details.
The Honor X10 Max 5G’s Geekbench listing reveals that it is fueled by a MediaTek octa-core processor that has a base frequency of 2.00GHz. The SoC is mentioned with its MT6873 model number which belongs to the Dimensity 800 5G SoC.
The SoC is coupled with 8 GB of RAM and the device is preloaded with Android 10 OS. The handset achieved 539 in the single-core test of Geekbench 5. It recorded a score of 2186 in the multi-core test.
Previous reports have revealed that the Honor X10 Max 5G revealed that it has a 7.09-inch IPS LCD panel with waterdrop notch. The screen is equipped with RGBW technology for better brightness under bright sunlight. It has a side-facing fingerprint reader.

I love desk lamps, and if it were possible I’ll buy one every month. Back in April, Midea announced a rechargeable desk lamp that also has a fan and a make-up mirror built-in for just under $15. Now they are back with another lamp that has a design that kids will love.

Amazon India has launched a new initiative called Amazon Pay Smart Store similar to Google Pay Spot Platform in the country. The primary goal of the service is to provide an online shopping experience to the customers of local brick and mortar stores.
Interested stores can sign up for the program from this page on Amazon India. Stores under this initiative will be provided with a unique QR code. By scanning this, customers can know about the availability of products, compare them, and even check the available offers on them. Additionally, customers can also request for in-store demos and similar services.

TCL is a relatively new brand in the smartphone market: it owns Alcatel and BlackBerry, but it started releasing handsets under its own brand in 2019. Yet this TCL 10 5G not only offers an incredibly high quality-price ratio but even an impressive design. We would not recommend the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite (unless you want to save the highest amount of money since it is actually available for less than €330 thanks to street prices) due to its inferior cameras and less impressive design, but it actually comes with a great display.

The FCC listing of Oppo Watch 46mm does not reveal anything except for its model number OW19W12. Anyway, everything about this wearable is already known as it is on sale in China for months. Also, since only the larger variant has been certified, we are not sure if the smaller 41mm will make it to international markets.
Interestingly, as GSMArena notes, the description of the FCC listing reads “Purchase on Amazon: OPPO Watch” with a link which takes to Amazon US’ search result page for “Oppo Watch”. But as of now, there’s no product listing for it, however, this somewhat confirms its availability in the US.
Having said that, although the hardware of Oppo Watch is expected to be same as the Chinese variant, the software is a mystery. For the unaware, in its home country, Oppo uses ColorOS Watch, a fork based on AOSP. But we hope its wearable to run Android Wear platform in global markets.
The Redmi Note 9 series is sold in several countries save for China and it is no surprise since most of the phones launched in China these days are 5G phones. There have been reports that a 5G version of the phone will be released in China and now alleged specs of the phone have surfaced on Weibo.
Redmi Note 9
The specs were posted on Weibo by Digital Chat Station, although he doesn’t specifically say the name of the device. However, a tweet from Sudhanshu Ambhore (@Sudhanshu1414) says they are for the “Redmi Note 9 5G series in China”.
The Redmi Note 9 5G will have an LCD display of unknown size and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 765G processor and pack a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It will also have a 48MP camera.
No info regarding the release date of the Redmi Note 9 5G was revealed. Nevertheless, we won’t be surprised if the phone launches next month. Based on its specs, we expect it will be priced below the Redmi K30i 5G which sells for ¥1999 (~$280).
Apple is expected to launch 4 new iPhone 12 models later this year. There have been multiple leaks and rumors over the past few months regarding these phones. Amidst this, analysts from Barclays say the box content may not include EarPods as well as a charger.
The Cupertino-based tech giant is known for bold moves. It paved the way for the removal of 3.5mm headphone jack on smartphones with the launch of iPhone 7. Since then, the market for truly wireless earphones soared high.
If the Barclays’ analysts are true, then we may witness the rise of another trend which involves no bundled charger (only cable) with the purchase of new smartphones. As absurd as it sounds, it could be a possibility as some of the firm’s reports for older iPhones such as true tone for iPhone 8 & iPhone X, removal of headphone jack adapter with iPhone Xs & iPhone XR, and removal of 3D touch on iPhone 11 series turned out to be positive.
Further, the UK-based financial company also mentions the box to not include EarPods as predicted by Ming-Chi Kuo last month. It also reveals that the mass production of iPhone 12 series is four to six weeks behind schedule when compared to previous years. However, Apple is expected to announce them as usual in September.
Lastly, analysts from Barclays also expect the two higher-end iPhone 12 series to feature a triple camera setup and a LiDAR sensor which was introduced with the iPad Pro 2020. Also, there could be another iPad Pro later this year but the firm does not have more info on that.
It is pretty difficult to navigate the internet without using one of Google‘s products or apps like YouTube or the Google search engine and others. It is also common knowledge that Google collects lots of user data which has at some point put the company in the eye of the storm. Google CEO Sundar Pichai has now announced that the company is effecting some changes in the way the tech giant handles new users’ data.
Going forward, Google will put in place different privacy upgrades which will help to control data that is being shared with it in a more efficient way. The type of data ranges from Google logs, Search history, location history, YouTube history, location history, to voice commands through Google Assistant on the My Activity page.
The company introduced an option last year to have the data automatically deleted every 3 months or 18 months for new and existing users. The feature will now be enabled by default for all new users. Where the feature is disabled, Google will still automatically delete search history, location history, and voice commands automatically for new users every 18 months by default. In addition, search history on YouTube will be programmed to automatically delete after 3 years. The company says this is to ensure it can “continue to make relevant entertainment recommendations” since user preferences change over time.
These newly introduced privacy options still won’t be enabled by default on existing Google accounts but Google says it will increase the frequency at which the option will be promoted on the affected services. So the promotional message doesn’t become burdensome, users can adjust the frequency of the reminders on the Activity controls page.
Also to aid existing Google Account users to control their privacy settings, Google says it will be making it easier for users to check in on your Account controls. This can be done by simply searching for the keywords “Google Privacy Checkup” and “Is my Google Account secure?” to gain access to a box with your privacy and security settings.
Furthermore, Google is putting out a short cut to easily enter Incognito Mode. This can be done by just long-pressing your profile picture in Google Search, Maps, and YouTube.

Despite it is an older handset, Realme X2 Pro actually offers a better display than Realme X3 and X3 SuperZoom. It has a lower refresh rate (90 Hz vs 120 Hz), but it is the only one with an AMOLED panel and it has the HDR10+ certification and full DCI P3 coverage. Realme X3 and X3 SuperZoom come with exactly the same IPS display offering a 120 Hz refresh rate.
Hardware/Software
With Realme X2 Pro, X3, and X3 SuperZoom you get the same chipset: the amazing Snapdragon 855+ which was Qualcomm’s best mobile platform of 2019. Unfortunately, there is no 5G support, but these handsets feature an incredibly high level of performance. Realme X3 SuperZoom and X2 Pro are actually superior in terms of hardware because they offer up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage, while the vanilla X3 stops at 8/128 GB. Camera
The most advanced camera belongs to the Realme X3 SuperZoom. All of these devices feature the same midrange 64 MP sensor as the main sensor of the rear camera department, but the X3 SuperZoom also comes with a periscopic sensor boasting OIS and 5x optical zoom. Instead, Realme X3 and X2 Pro have a telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. Realme X3 SuperZoom also wins the front camera comparison as it sports an ultrawide dual front camera with 32 + 8 MP sensors.
Battery
Since they have a bigger battery, Realme X3 and X3 SuperZoom are able to last more than X2 Pro on a single charge in a lot of scenarios. But given that their displays are more energy-demanding, it is just a minimum margin. On the other hand, Realme X2 Pro offers a way faster charging technology (50W vs 30W) and it needs just 35 minutes to fully charge.
Price
Realme X3 and X3 SuperZoom are priced $330/€294 and $370/€330 in India, respectively. Realme X2 Pro starts from almost $400/€356. Realme X3 provides the highest value for money but it is inferior to its rivals. The SuperZoom has the best cameras, while Realme X2 Pro has the best display. Which one would you pick?
