Huawei‘s 2019 flagship Mate 30 series was heavily affected by the trade ban imposed by tech US government on the tech giant. Thus, it was sort of a surprise when Huawei announced back in October that it had shipped over 7 million Mate 30 series models. The models are apparently selling amazingly well as a report by Chinese blog Sina has shown that the Mate 30 series sales figure has reached an amazing 12 million units.
This should come as a surprise as there were fears the shipment would be affected by the US ban which ensured the models shipped without Google Mobile Services. That also meant the phone was only available in limited supply outside China even in Huawei’s strongholds like Europe. That means most of the sales have emanated from China and rightly so, a report in October revealed the Mate 30 and 30 Pro were selling pretty well in China.
Huawei’s goal with the Mate 30 lineup is to top the 20 million shipments mark which seems like an attainable goal judging by the current sales volumes.
The Xiaomi Watch Color is trending today following its partial unveiling earlier in the morning. Hours later, more news about the new smartwatch keeps pouring in. The latest is a bunch of live photos of the smartwatch alongside pictures of the retail box which reveals some of the watch’s key specifications.
The images of the retail box were posted on Weibo by a user that goes by @科技小乙. The color variant is different from the one we saw earlier today. It has a silver frame rather than black with matching buttons and black/dark blue straps.
The back of the retail box reveals the watch’s model number as XMWT06. It has a 1.39-inch AMOLED display as we correctly guessed with a 454 x 454 resolution. The retail box also shows the watch has Bluetooth 5.0 LE and GPS + GLONASS.
Another key info revealed is the battery capacity which is 420mAh, 10mAh more than that of the Amazfit GTR 47mm version. So it should have a slightly better battery life since they both have the same screen size and resolution. The watch has a power rating of 5V 0.5A.
Other features mentioned include NFC, water-resistance up to 5ATM, activity tracking, heart-rate monitoring, and support for XiaoAI Assistant. The retail box says the watch supports devices running Android 4.4 KitKat and above.
Since the Xiaomi Watch Color doesn’t have LTE support, it should have a price tag lower than the Xiaomi Watch. The source mentions there is a 42mm version. That should have a smaller battery capacity and an even lower price tag.

Alongside the photos of the retail box, we also got some live photos of the watch in different color variants. Does the orange variant give you some Amazfit Pace vibes?
Unlike our previous Best Budget, Mid-Range and even Flagship Killer lists, this one has no real surprises. Huawei, Samsung, and Apple dominate the flagship segment, as always. However, one new addition in this product category is OnePlus, all thanks to its new dual-smartphone strategy. The Chinese smartphone maker has slowly sneaked its way over to the premium segment this year and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that its flagship is the cheapest one in this list.
So let’s look at our picks for the Best Flagship Smartphones of 2019.
Unlike most other smartphone companies, OnePlus‘ limited product portfolio helps it to perfect its existing products in the market. So OnePlus smartphones are one of the most fluid devices in the Android segment. That rubs off on the new OnePlus 7T Pro as well.
The 7T Pro looks beautiful, is superfluid, comes with powerful rear cameras, and a fancy dual-curved display. It is powered by the fastest flagship processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 855+ with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. It features a slightly better camera setup as compared to its cheaper sibling which includes a 48MP primary shooter paired with an 8MP telephoto lens (3X optical zoom) and an ultra-wide 16MP lens. This setup enables the 7T Pro to capture amazing shots, coming closer to flagships like the Huawei P30 Pro and the Galaxy Note 10+. The flexible curved display up front with 2K+ resolution looks exceptional and is my favorite feature of this phone! You get all this for at least Rs. 10,000 or €150 cheaper than the other models in this list. We do miss wireless charging on the 7T Pro, but it won’t be a deal-breaker for most users.
If there was one Huawei phone that stood out in 2019, it would be none other than the Huawei P30 Pro. Huawei stunned us all with the amazing periscope camera setup and the fancy moon mode, never before seen on a smartphone of its size.
The P30 Pro is one of the best camera smartphones of 2019. The phone features a powerful quad-camera setup with a Leica lens that includes a 40MP primary camera, an 8MP periscope lens, a 20MP ultra wide-angle shooter, and a 3D ToF sensor. It was a product of innovation, being the world’s first phone to employ the RYYG based Sony’s new IMX650 sensor instead of a traditional RGB Bayer color filter.
But the P30 Pro was not all about cameras. The phone camera with the powerful Kirin 980 octa-core processor, up to 8GB RAM, a beautiful 6.4-inch OLED display, and a 4200mAh battery with fast wireless charging. The phone also featured relatively fast 15W wireless charging and even reverse wireless charging, just like the Mate 20 Pro!
What’s the Best Flagship Phones list without a Galaxy Note device, right? Samsung made a solid comeback this year with the Galaxy Note 10+. The phone comes with Snapdragon 855 (or Exynos 9825) with 12GB of RAM, a large 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED flexible display and 45W 4300mAh battery on board. The Galaxy Note 10+ camera isn’t all fancy like the P30 Pro but its quad-camera setup featuring a 12MP primary (dual-pixel) sensor, another 12MP telephoto sensor for 2x optical zoom, a 16MP ultrawide lens, and a ToF 3D VGA camera takes consistent high-quality images. For the past few years, Samsung Galaxy Note devices have featured one of the best cameras in the market, and the 2019 Galaxy Note 10+ is no exception. It’s also IP68 certified like its predecessor and comes with 15W wireless charging (reverse wireless charging too!).
Traditionally, the iPhone series wouldn’t have made it to our Best Flagship Smartphones list. But in 2019, things are different and Apple has clearly upped its game. The Apple iPhone 11 series features one of the best smartphone cameras in the market today. And the 11 Pro Max takes things to another level. The phone features a beautiful 6.5-inch 1242 x 2688 pixel resolution XDR OLED display with 120Hz touch sensing for fluid touch response. The Hexa-core A13 Bionic chip is one of the fastest smartphone processors in the market right now and that’s paired with a 4-core Apple GPU. The 4000mAh battery inside the iPhone 11 Pro Max is the largest battery capacity on an iPhone, ever!
All these features are top of the line, but the real reason this phone makes it to the Best Flagship Smartphones of 2019 is because of its triple camera setup at the back. The 11 Pro Max features three 12MP shooters, a primary dual-pixel sensor paired with a 2x optical zoom telephoto sensor and an ultrawide lens. The setup enables the phone to capture amazing photos. And the phone shoots videos better than almost all other smartphones on this list. Clearly, it wouldn’t be a fair Best Flagship Smartphone list without including the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Did you know the phone is IP68 dust and water-resistant too?
Honestly, we were not sure whether to include the Galaxy Fold to our list of the Best Flagship Smartphones of 2019. We were even more confused when the Fold made it to the Verge’s Biggest Fails of the Decade. However, after discussing the Pros and Cons of the Galaxy Fold, we decided to include it as a special category. After all, it is the world’s first commercial foldable in the market right now and selling more than 500,000 units of an experimental smartphone is success in itself!
The Galaxy Fold is the world’s first true commercial foldable available for purchase. Despite its ups and downs, Samsung has managed to create a phone that’s relatively durable, powered by top-end hardware, and features a display that transforms into a tablet with a simple unfold. If you have an eye for revolutionary technologies and an unlimited budget, the Galaxy Fold is the smartphone to buy in 2019.
The Galaxy Fold features two displays, a traditional 4.6-inch AMOLED panel outside and a Foldable Dynamic AMOLED 7.3-inch display inside. There are SIX cameras on board, three at the back which is very similar to the Note 10+, dual 10+8MP cameras on top of the flexible display inside, and another 10MP shooter on top of the cover display outside. A 4350mAh battery with 15W fast wired and wireless charging powers up the two displays. The software is one of the highlights of the Galaxy Fold, with the customized UI enabling a seamless transition between the two displays and allowing users to take full advantage of the tablet-sized display inside.
Next-gen technology often comes at an expensive price. And the Galaxy Fold starts at a staggering Rs. 1,64,999 in India or around €2000 in Europe! We have to add that, unlike other flagships, it won’t be easy getting hold of a unit.
So these were our picks for the Best Flagship Phones of 2019? Do you think any other device deserves a place on this list? Let us know!
The number of smart products launched by Xiaomi this year is huge. It is nearly impossible for everyone to remind them all. But fortunately, we followed the launch of every product and reported it on our portal. This made us know every product launched by the company in 2019 and make a selection of the best. Here, you will find a top 10 of the best Xiaomi smart products launched in 2019. We decided to include only products actually available in the market and not concepts or unfinished products. That is why you will not find products such as Amazfit X in this selection (despite being among the most innovative ones).
Top Xiaomi Smart Products of the year
Xiaomi Mi Watch
Xiaomi Mi Watch is Xiaomi’s first smartwatch (if we exclude the ones launched by its subsidiaries such as Amazfit, obviously) and the world’s first smartphone to run a customized version of Wear OS (it is customized by MIUI just like Xiaomi phones). Xiaomi calls this device a little smartphone on your wrist since it has a lot of smart functions and it can even be used as a phone thanks to its eSIM technology. It has a dedicated app store, a 1.78-inch square-shaped AMOLED display and the biggest battery even mounted on a smartwatch. Thanks to the 570 mAh battery, it offers up to 36 hours of battery life on a single charge.
The Mi TV 5 Pro is not a budget TV like the other ones launched by Xiaomi. It is Xiaomi’s most advanced TV and it has a high-end panel with an amazing image reproduction. It is a Quantum Dot QLED display with the support to 8K decoding, HDR10+, MEMC motion compensation, and 108 percent NTSC color gamut. The display comes in three sizes: 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch. Mi TV 5 Pro is even a smart TV and it is powered by the Amlogic T972 chipset with support for 8K video recording, paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Prices in China start from 3699 Yuan which roughly converts to $537.
Xiaomi Mi Band 4 launched in the half of this year became one of the best-selling fitness trackers of 2019. It is Xiaomi’s first smart band with a color display (finally) and, despite this, it is still able to offer a long battery life. Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is waterproof up to 5 atm and it monitors 6 sports and different types of swimming strokes. It supports Xiao AI voice assistant and also comes with NFC for mobile payments. All for a price inferior to €35.
This year Xiaomi even launched a smart speaker which can be considered as an amazing alternative to Alexa for the Chinese market. Xiaomi Mi AI Touchscreen Speaker Pro 8 is a smart display with an 8-inch panel that works with Xiaomi’s own Xiao AI virtual assistant. It looks like the Google Nest Hub but with a bigger display (smaller than Nest Hub Max, though) and three subwoofers with Neodymium Iron Boron magnets and DTS audio. The smart display is able to interact with Xiaomi’s ecosystem allowing it to control a lot of Xiaomi smart products such as TVs, IP cameras and many other IoT platforms. It even has an integrated camera for video calls.
Xiaomi is the first real affordable alternative to AirPods released from a mainstream brand if we only consider half in-ear true wireless earphones. In a market in which every important earbud has an in-ear design, Xiaomi launched the first truly wireless earbuds with a non-in-ear design and priced them less than $60! Despite their very affordable price, they deliver a pretty good audio quality and they even support Xiao AI virtual assistant, as well as a noise reduction technology for calls and a lot of other smart features. And they can reach up to 12 hours of battery life thanks to their charging case.
This year Xiaomi launched the successor of the best-selling electric scooter of all time. We are talking about the Xiaomi M365 Pro which makes room for important improvements compared to the previous model. Battery life improved: you can make up to 45 km on a single charge. It has slightly bigger dimensions as it is taller and larger in order to make the driving experience more comfortable. There is more space for the feet and better control. And now you even get an LCD display indicating the speed, the Bluetooth status, lights info, and alarms. Xiaomi even added a third driving mode called Drive with a max speed of 20 km/h (through the sport mode you can reach 25 km/h).
If you need the smartest night light with motion detection, you will love this Yeelight product. It has a motion sensor as well as daylight sensing capability making it automatically understand when to turn on and off even if no people are near. It even mounts a built-in light sensor able to detect the brightness of the ambient light. And it costs just $4.
With Viomi Internet Refrigerator, even your refrigerator can act as a PC. With a similar design to the Samsung Family Hub, this Viomi product is equipped with a 21-inch IPS display with a Full HD resolution and touch screen. It even supports voice control thanks to Viobrain AI. You can use it as a smart speaker or even watch the weather, and a lot more. It even provides users with 1 milion+ online recipes and millions of songs thanks to a dedicated streaming app. It can be linked to the Mijia app and it can interact with other smart home appliances.
According to a few experts, we are leaving a digital cemetery behind ourselves. We do not print photos anymore and it became harder to keep memories safe. But now there is a new gadget which may let you print a lot of photos again: the Mi Pocket Photo Printer. It uses ZINK inkless printing technology and supports AR photos and music. It can even connect to the Mijia app and print photos from videos.
This year Xiaomi released the smartphone with the fastest commercial wireless charging technology boasting a 30W power. And the Xiaomi Vertical Air-Cooled Wireless Charger takes advantage of this technology and charges the phone while dissipating the heat thanks to an ultra-quiet built-in fan. The charger also doubles as a smartphone kickstand and it is based on Qi charging standard.
Xiaomi’s Mi Band is the best selling smart band lineup in the world. Inexpensive price tag and reliable fitness tracking features have helped the Mi Band series to gain immense popularity across the world. However, not everyone prefers a tiny pill-shaped display on their wrist. And for those who are looking for a bigger display at a cheap price tag, the Haylou smartwatch comes to the rescue.
The Haylou watch is essentially a smart band in the form factor of a smartwatch. It’s a stripped-down watch that comes with basic fitness-centric features usually found on a smart band. The watch is extremely cheap, even cheaper than the Mi Band 4! So we were looking to get our hands on the Haylou watch, from the moment it was launched.
Inside the box, you get the watch, a TPU strap, an instruction manual, and a charging cable.
Haylou Smartwatch Hands-On: Design
Everything about the Xiaomi Haylou Watch is designed to look like a smartwatch. You get a 1.3-inch large display with a decent 240 x 240 resolution, an ABS + Plastic body that looks pretty good for its price, and TPU strap which is soft and flexible. The watch’s body has a metallic finish, so you might mistake it for a metal body at first glance. There’s a physical home button on the right side of the device while the charging pins are located at the bottom.
One of the fanciest features of the Haylou watch is its magnetic charger. If you look closely at the bottom of the watch, you’ll see four pins. The two circles on the sides are magnets while the two inner pins are used for charging. Given how I have to manually attach the charging cradles for both my Amazfit Verge and Pace watches, this was definitely a surprising addition. It’s not as fancy as the magnetic charger on the Mi Watch, but for an inexpensive watch, it’s pretty cool.
The Haylou watch comes with a 240 x 240 1.3-inch LCD display on top. The display doesn’t cover the full front of the watch and that makes it look cheap. Since this is an LCD display, you won’t get your traditional OLED features like Always-on display (AOD). So you have to either press the home button to light up the watch or raise your wrist (you have to enable this setting) to turn on the screen.
Not having an always-on display does have its benefits, like extending its battery life. Xiaomi claims that the 240mAh capacity battery inside can power the Haylou watch for up to 14 days on a single charge. The real-life battery life should be shorter than this figure but even then, it would be much better than a traditional smartwatch.
Xiaomi Haylou Smartwatch Hands-on: Features
The Haylou watch supports 9 sports modes that include walking, running, hiking, cycling, treadmill, fitness mode, mountain climbing, spinning, and yoga. You get 24-hour HR monitor as well as sleep monitoring for better sleep management. While it won’t run any apps, the Haylou watch supports features like Alarm clock, smart notification for calls and other information, and other smart band-like features including sedentary reminders. You can connect to your smartphone via the Haylou App using Bluetooth 4.2 LE.
The Haylou watch is available in China for just 99.90 yuan ($14) which is an extremely cheap price for the features you get. In fact, it is cheaper than the Mi Band 4 which was launched at 169 yuan in China a few months back!
Why the price difference? Well, the Haylou watch doesn’t have an OLED display or NFC – both present on the Xiaomi Mi Band 4. It can’t run apps like the Mi Watch or even use GPS for activities like running. In short, the watch strips down on some premium features to provide a no-nonsense smartband experience on a larger form factor. And this might just be perfect for people who are looking for an inexpensive smartwatch in the market. After all, what more can you expect at $14!
Note that the watch is only available in Chinese. It doesn’t have an English version yet. Also, the crowdfunding price of the watch was $14. You can currently get it for around $25 via retailers like Giztop.
Samsung has reportedly commenced working on the Galaxy M51 at its Noida factory.in India, claims a new post on 91mobiles, The smartphone has a model number of SM-M515 is currently underway.. The smartphone might not be on sale anytime soon since the device is currently in the early stages of production.
Earlier this year, Samusng had launched Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, Galaxy M30 and Galaxy M40 smartphone in the first part of the year. In the second half of 2019, it unleashed upgraded M smartphones such as Galaxy M10s, Galaxy M20s and Galaxy M30s. This indicates Samsung is likely to skip the Galaxy M50 moniker and directly launch the Galaxy M51 directly in 2020.
This is in line with the company’s strategy where it plans to replace the A and the M-series moniker with ‘1’, instead of ‘0’. It is too early to speculate on the design and specifications of the M51. The Galaxy M51 will be available at offline retail stores alongside e-commerce platforms since the chaebol has decided to part ways with online-exclusive variants and offers in India.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 flaunts a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Infinity-O LCD display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 certification for additional security. The smartphone draws power from a 2.0 GHz Snapdragon 675 SoC with Adreno 612 GPU. The device features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage, further expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card. The Galaxy M40 flaunts a triple-camera setup at the rear.
The primary camera uses a 32-megapixel sensor that works together with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 123-degree field-of-view and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. There is a 16-megapixel selfie camera housed within the punch-hole display for selfies. The smartphone draws power from a 3,500 mAh battery that supports fast charge. The device has a physical fingerprint scanner on the rear for additional security. The Samsung Galaxy M40 runs on Android 9.0 Pie, with the custom One UI skin on top. Connectivity options include dual SIM 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, GPS, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack. It is currently selling for Rs. 17,999 (~$252) in India.
The Realme 5i that was recently spotted during certification from Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), has just shown up on Vietnamese e-retail store FPTShop. The listing reveals quite a few key specifications of the Realme 5i, including hardware and color variants. The website has also put up a ‘Notify Me’ button, hinting at an imminent launch. The smartphone will go official in Vietnam on Jan. 6.
The above poster confirms that the smartphone will be made official in Vietnam on Jan. 6. According to the initial renders, the design of the upcoming Realme 5i is very similar to the Realme 5 that is currently on sale in India. On the front, the Realme 5i sports thin bezels on three sides and a thicker chin. There is a waterdrop notch housing the front camera.
Realme 5i Blue
While the volume rockers are on the left edge, the power button is on the right. At the rear, there is a quad-camera setup on the left, with two LEDs housed within a small module. The physical fingerprint scanner is located towards the center top half of the body. The Realme branding is visible on the bottom left.
As evident from the limited information on specifications currently available, the Realme 5i flaunts a 6.52-inch display. The device draws power from a 2.0GHz Snapdragon 665 SoC with Adreno 610 GPU and is available with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. Realme could offer a lower-spec variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage eventually.
Realme 5i Green
In terms of optics, the primary camera uses a 12-megapixel lens, in association with an 8-megapixel lens, and two 2-megapixel sensors. There is an 8-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies. The device draws power from a massive 5,000 mAh battery and runs on Android 9.0 Pie-based ColorOS 6.0.1. The smartphone gets a dual hybrid SIM slot, where SIM 2 can be replaced with a microSD card for additional storage capacity. The Realme 5i will be available in two color variants, namely green and blue. Pricing is yet to be announced.
Apart from the downgraded front camera and a slightly different rear appeal, the specs and design of the Realme 5i are an exact match with India’s Realme 5 available in India. The Realme 5 features a front camera of 13-megapixel. Realme does not sell the Realme 5 in Vietnam and the other neighboring markets. The Realme’s Vietnamese website only sells the Realme 5s phone that comes with a better primary lens of 48-megapixel in comparison to the Realme 5. It is possible that Realme might be rebranding the Realme 5 as the Realme 5i for the Southeast Asian market including Singapore. The device would be a more affordable version of the Realme 5s and go on sale in select markets.
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo is among the top 5 best-selling companies in India. They managed to pull off this feat by focusing on offering quality products at affordable prices and smart marketing techniques. In one such move, Vivo plans to stop launching online-exclusive smartphones in India starting 2020.
Vivo has reached a position to consolidate the offline market. The company has sent out letters to its retail partners, promising them a simultaneous inventory of all products and variants available online at the same price starting 2020. The letter sent out by CEO Jerome Chen ensures that there will be no more online-exclusive smartphones in India. It looks like the days of Amazon-exclusive or Flipkart-exclusive smartphones from Vivo going on flash sale is over!
“Apart from focusing on customer satisfaction, we aim to keep out business partners, channel associates, direct employees and shareholders content with our policies”. Chen added, “We expect our retail partners to gear up in their efforts to offer a smooth buying experience for existing and potential clients”.
The All India Mobile Retailers Association (AIMRA) has thanked Vivo for taking note and acting on its long impending demand for simultaneous online and offline product launch. “We would like to thank @Vivo_India for taking the initiative against unfair trade practices favoring e-retail channels. Together we strive to usher in a positive change for mobile retailers with fair trading opportunities”, the AIMRA officially tweeted on Friday, along with a copy of Chen’s letter.
Although it is too early to tell, initial reports from IANS claim that rival manufacturers like Samsung, Oppo, and Realme have made similar commitments to their channel partners. However, nothing is official at the time of publication.
In related news, Vivo is all set to launch its latest smartphone, the Vivo S1 Pro, in India on Jan. 4. The smartphone flaunts a massive 6.38-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with in-screen fingerprint reader and is powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The smartphone features a quad-rear camera setup arranged in a diamond pattern, at the heart of which lies a 48-megapixel primary sensor. It has a front camera of 32-megapixel. The phone is fueled by 4,500mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging through USB-C.
Modern smartphones can do a lot of things and have replaced many different devices we used to use in the past like a digital camera or a navigator but there’s still one thing that they are not very good at: high-quality audio reproduction. This gap is detected by FiiO that combines the power of Android OS and quality hardware to release DAPs with lossless audio support and high-quality DAC chips.
The latest model, FiiO M15 is their flagship and features a dual AK4499 DAC Chip combined with the powerful Exynos 7872 SoC. Also, for those who prefer wireless headphones, there is also a CSR8675 Qualcomm Bluetooth Chip. Two Femtosecond Crystal Oscillators from NDK and an Independent XMOS XUF208 control chip are also there to assist. The device features a 5.15″ HD display and as said, it is powered by Android. Of course, a professional Digital Audio Player couldn’t miss the traditional headphone jack, so the FiiO M15 comes with 2.5mm/3.5mm/4.4mm jacks.
Lastly, the device can become a music gateway as it supports FiiO Link, DLNA, AirPlay, and WiFi Song Transfer. More information can be found in the source link below.

Chuwi HeroBook was one of the most successful laptops for the company in the past and the Chinese manufacturer is about to release an upgraded version, the HeroBook Pro. It will be equipped with a more powerful processor as well as more RAM and storage to meet the needs of users at a higher level. Hopefully, it will have a low price tag as its predecessor did and will become a best-seller.
Hardware upgrade
Instead of the Intel E8000, Chuwi went with the more powerful Intel N4000 CPU that is manufactured at 14nm and reaches a peak operating frequency of 2.6GHz. While Lenovo aren’t what you think of when you think gaming, the company has been working hard to change that notion. They’ve built up a very solid line of gaming laptops, peripherals, and now the company has launched a new gaming monitor. The Lenovo G25-10 is a 24.5-inch FHD 144Hz monitor with HDR support and is priced at 1799 yuan ($258).
In terms of specs, the Lenovo G25-10 is pretty decent all around. The gaming monitor uses a TN panel over an IPS panel for faster response time. This panel features a resolution of 1920×1080, a refresh rate of 144Hz, a 72% NTSC color gamut, a 1ms response time, a brightness of 400nit, and support for HDR decoding.
In terms of design, the Lenovo G25-10 display uses a three-sided narrow bezel design, the base supports lifting, and is equipped with HDMI 1.4 and DP 1.2 interfaces. It’s much more sleek than most of Lenovo’s older monitors, with a very subtle black finish, minimalist bezels and a clear lack of garish gaming colours.
Overall, the Lenovo G25-10 is looking like an excellent choice for a gaming monitor, especially for the price. It’s well rounded and designed well, and we’re hoping Lenovo continues down this track of good gaming equipment for decent prices.

The rise in financial investors in India Startups

Reportedly, there a 150 educational and learning app startups, 160 fintech startups, 82 ride hailing services (Similar to Uber), 42 insurance firms, and a lot more.
Historically, OnePlus has managed to stay ahead with the update schedules in comparison to other major smartphone manufacturers. However, it does not always translate to a smooth transition. For example, OnePlus 7 and 7T were the first to receive Android 10 but were riddled with bugs and issues, which were fixed shortly after with hotfixes.
OnePlus 6T
After the current generation of flagship series, OnePlus 6 and 6T (the flagship from 2018) from last year was the next in line for the update. The initial roll out was back in November 2019 but also suffered from bugs and was rolled back due to customer complaints. Thus, it led to the second release which was in December but that too was not polished enough. So, third times the charm as the company is again making its latest attempt of the same.
OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T OxygenOS OTA Updates
OnePlus’ quick and appropriate response is a good indicator of the company’s flexibility and adaptability. In a market where only a few devices won’t receive the latest Android even after Android 11 (R) is announced, quick responsiveness is a rare thing. But rather than a rapid update schedule, a functional update is likely to be more of a priority for most users.
The smartphone market is dominated by big companies like Apple, Samsung, and Huawei that offer some great flagships with remarkable features but also a very high price tag. However, there are other manufacturers that offer great value for money phones like the Cubot X20 Pro, one of the most VFM smartphones out there that costs around $150 but features similar performance as much more expensive devices. Let’s see its pros and cons below.
Pros
Triple camera that produces great photos
Vivid FHD display with beautiful colors
Stock Android 9.0
Great value for money
Cons
No Headphone Jack
No fingerprint reader
No Wireless Charging
Cubot X20 Pro Build Quality
The display is one of the reasons that make the X20 Pro the best VFM phone. It’s an IPS 6.3″ FHD+ display with rich colors and 409ppi. Also, besides the high resolution, it has a clean design with just a tiny notch, unlike the huge iPhone notch. This allows for a higher screen/body ratio as well.
Cameras
The camera design is a clear copy of the iPhone 11 Pro and Google Pixel 4 but that’s ok as most manufacturers copy each other in this department. The important thing is whether the performance of the camera is adequate or not. And the Cubot X20 Pro delivers more than its price suggests with a 12MP sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. The third sensor is a 20MP one that is used for portrait shots with bokeh effect.
The sensors work great both in bright and low-light conditions while you can adjust the depth of field both before and after the shot. What’s more, there’s a 13MP front shooter that is good for selfies and video calls. And speaking of video, the X20 Pro can shoot 4K video with OIS meaning that no more shaky videos.
Performance and UX
Coming preloaded with Android 9 Pie, the phone’s performance is fluid and smooth. There is no lag or any custom skins applied, just stock Android. This way, Cubot is able to get the maximum performance out of the hardware and offer quick software updates. The phone comes with Helio P60 SoC which is a worthy counterpart to the Snapdragon 660, a popular choice among mid-range phones. As said before, it supports 4K video recording and also offers Face Unlock.
To boost the SoC, the X20 Pro comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This ensures that you never run out of space to store your apps and games or RAM to run them. No matter what game you want to play and what video you want to run, the processor and RAM will do their job well. The storage is expandable up to 256GB more while in terms of performance, the device ranks among the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 and the Asus Zenfone Max Pro.
Battery Life
Usually, the weak link in smartphones is battery life. Technology has evolved so much in every other aspect in the mobile industry apart from batteries. The most expensive phones out there like Google’s Pixel series feature mediocre battery life at best. Also, the obsession for more and more thin devices leaves little space for a big battery. However, the Cubot X20 Pro has a 4000mAh capacity battery that will definitely take you through the day even with heavy use.
Of course, it’s not just a matter of capacity. Software optimization is also very important and the Stock Android 9 Pie in X20 Pro does a good job in power management. There is no battery-hogging bloatware. Add to that the Fast Charging implemented by Cubot and you can charge for half an hour to get a full day of light use. Sounds like a good and small investment, doesn’t it?
On 30th December 2019, Samsung announced that it will be showcasing a wide variety of projects it has been working on from its C-Lab incubation program at CES 2020. One of which includes the very unique and interesting SelfieType project.
According to reports, the SelfieType project uses an AI algorithm and a front facing camera to perform as a virtual keyboard. In other words, it essentially allows users to type off screen just by using finger movements. On Samsung’s official website, it states that “SelfieType requires no additional hardware and it is highly adaptable to various mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops.”
Samsung to unveil SelfieType at CES 2020
The statement indicates that the feature could possibly also work on smartphones, tablets, and laptops from other companies since the front camera is the integral component of the project. So, it is likely that once the project completed and ready for commercial distribution, Samsung might sell this feature to other smartphone manufacturers.
The ability to cast virtual keyboards on real world surfaces has been popular in recent years and is becoming increasingly more feasible. Lenovo’s Smart Cast that followed a similar concept. However, Samsung’s SelfieType requires no additional hardware or projection of a keyboard. Thus, the algorithm needs to be sound lest it leads to inaccurate input or false readings from the users.
Lenovo’s SmartCast+
Additionally, a few of the other projects the South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil include Hyer smart highlighter; it functions similar to Google Lens but with a highlighter rather than a smartphone camera. Furthermore, the company will also showcase a window-shaped device that delivers artificial sunlight, with an ultraviolet sensor and monitoring tool. Lastly, it is also speculated that Samsung will announce the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite at CES 2020.

Little is known about the specification and features of the Xiaomi Watch COLOR but more details are beginning to surface. The first is a live photo of the watch shared by the general manager of Xiaomi Ecological Chain, Qu Heng.
Qu Heng’s photo not only gives us a good look at the watch but he also reveals an important detail about it – the battery life. But first, let us talk about the design.
The Xiaomi Watch Color has a black case with a pretty thin bezel. Judging from the image, the screen should be no less than 1.39-inches in size. There are two buttons on the right side of the bezel just like we have seen on some other smartwatches.
Xiaomi Watch COLOR
The display shows a quick settings menu that includes a shortcut for torch mode which is practically the screen turning white and bright so you can use it to see. It also has a shortcut to turn on and off the lift-to-wake feature, another shortcut for adjusting the brightness and one for activating night mode. If you also zoom in on the image, you can see the Xiaomi Watch Color uses a quick-release strap.
As you can see, the watch’s battery level is 65% which actually doesn’t say anything. However, according to Qu Heng, that is the battery life of the watch after a week of use. Impressive, right? While we don’t know the usage pattern, we presume the Xiaomi Watch COLOR should be able to last more than 2 weeks on a single charge.
We still await the release of the spec sheet to know the battery capacity and if it trumps that of the Amazfit GTR which has a 410mAh battery and lasts up to 74 days in basic watch mode.
