Xiaomi-backed Redmi has today announced a new color option for the Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphone in China — White. The Redmi Note 7 Pro White color variant will be available for purchase from tomorrow at 10:00 AM China time.
This is the fourth color option being offered by Xiaomi after it introduced the phone in Blue, Black, and Gold colors. Both the sides, front as well as the back of this new White-colored variant comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro boasts a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 450 nits brightness and 15000:1 contrast ratio. Most of the Amazfit smartwatches are known for their cost-cutting square dials, but the Amazfit GTR is breaking the regime with a round dial. Notably, the Amazfit GTR 47 mm version comes with a 410 mAh LiPo battery and supports up to 24-days of battery life with normal usage and extends up to 74 days in basic watch mode (turning off Bluetooth, heart-rate and other functions). The GTR 42mm variant comes with 195 mAh battery and can last up to 12-days battery life with regular use and extends to 34 days with basic watch mode.

Samsung‘s Galaxy Note 10 ‘Unpack’ event is scheduled for the second week of August in New York, US. Yet, new details about the handsets have already been popping everywhere. Calling the Redmi K20 Pro one of the best devices on the market wouldn’t be an overstatement. As it stands, the device is a testament to how far one can push the envelope when it comes to mid-range pricing. It’s a phenomenally good device, even with the price out of the equation, with no major flaws and very few minor flaws on top of that. So, it makes sense that Xiaomi and Redmi would want to capitalize on this.

Recently, an executive of Huawei’s sub-brand Honor confirmed that the company is working on Smart TVs. Now, insiders aware of the development say that the first Smart TV from Huawei will come powered by the company’s own HongMeng OS.
As per the reports, Huawei will be launching its first Smart TV as early as August this year. The company is aiming its Smart TV product, which it likes to call “Smart Screens”, the hub for controlling all internet-connected devices at home.
The TV will also act as an entertainment as well as an information center for the families, claims Honor President George Zhao. While he took the stage recently to confirm the development of smart TVs, he didn’t reveal much about the features of the upcoming TV.
We’ve known about the HongMeng OS from Huawei from quite some time now. After the US government put Huawei in the “Entity List”, effectively banning US-based firms to do business with the Chinese giant, Huawei confirmed that it had been working on its own operating system and it’s ready to get launched.
As per the reports, the HongMeng OS is currently in the testing phase and is expected to get launched in the coming months. Recently, during an interview with French media, Huawei CEO confirmed that the HongMeng OS or Oak OS won’t be limited to smartphones and will run on a wide range of devices, including routers, network switches, tablets, computers and data centers.
Huawei is aiming to create a singular operating system for all of its products. The company’s CEO Ren Zhengfei also said that it’s very likely that HongMeng OS is faster than the Android and macOS. Earlier, it was reported that the upcoming operating system is about 60 percent faster than Android.

When Xiaomi eventually announces the Mi A3 in Spain today, a lot of folks will be disappointed, as one of its key features is a downgrade from the previous versions.
A hands-on article by Malaysian blog Soyacincau, has confirmed that the Mi A3 is truly a rebranded Xiaomi CC9e down to the display. This means the Mi A3 has an HD+ AMOLED screen and not an FHD+ AMOLED screen. This is a downgrade from the previous models which all have 1080p screens including last year’s Mi A2 Lite.

The handset sports an amazing color reproduction, a high QHD+ resolution and it is even HDR10+ compliant. If we only consider flagship phones, Oppo Reno 10x zoom has just an average AMOLED panel without HDR certification and with a just Full HD+ resolution (1080p vs 1440p on the Galaxy S10+). However, it has a wider panel, one of the widest ones on flagship phones with a diagonal of 6.6 inches. But I would definitely go for display quality instead of display size.
Specs & Software
If we consider the most expensive variants, so the ones with the best memory configurations, Samsung Galaxy S10+ largely wins the hardware comparison. Indeed, it is equipped with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 3.0 internal storage, while Oppo Reno 10x zoom stops at just 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. Both benchmarks and speed tests highlight a better software and hardware optimization on the Samsung Galaxy S10+, despite it has to manage a display with a higher resolution and a highly-customized user interface.
