Casio is releasing four new G-Shock watches in the US market as part of its new Bold Camo series. The collection originally launched earlier this month in Japan, which received a broader six-model lineup, but the US release is limited to four specific models. As a promotional add-on, Casio is currently including a free camouflage pouch with purchases.
Design Details
The main design update across the four watches is a green camouflage pattern printed onto the resin bands and bezels, which integrates a hidden G-mark logo into the design. Aside from the cosmetic changes, all four models retain the standard specifications expected from the G-Shock line, including physical shock resistance and 200-meter water resistance.
DW6900CMG-3DW6900CMG-3
The entry point for the new US lineup is the DW-6900CMG-3, priced at $145. It uses the classic 6900 digital silhouette with a standard resin case and bezel. It features a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, multi-function alarm, and an LED backlight, running on a CR2016 battery estimated to last five years.
GA700CMG-3AGA700CMG-3A
Stepping up to $165 is the GA-700CMG-3A, an analog-digital hybrid. It features a larger 57.5mm case and incorporates gold-colored vapor deposition on the dial and hands. It includes world time functionality across 31 time zones and a hand-shift feature to temporarily move the analog hands away from the digital display.
GA-V01CMG-3AGA-V01CMG-3A
The GA-V01CMG-3A costs $210 and is also an analog-digital model, but its primary hardware difference is a much longer battery life. It uses a CR2025 battery rated for approximately 10 years of use. It also features a double LED light system to separately illuminate both the analog face and the digital readout.
GM-6900CMG-3GM-6900CMG-3
The most expensive model in the lineup is the GM-6900CMG-3 at $280. It shares the exact same digital functionality and five-year battery life as the DW-6900, but it replaces the standard resin bezel with a stainless steel one. The metal bezel is finished with multiple polishing techniques, coated with a gold-colored ion plating, and uses partial laser etching to apply the camouflage pattern directly onto the metal.
All four watches are available to purchase now through Casio’s website and standard retail channels.

We are halfway through 2026, and the trend of stepping away from smartphones is still going strong. People are increasingly looking for ways to cut down on screen time, but that doesn’t mean they want to carry around a clunky, poorly designed piece of plastic. The current lineup of feature phones shows that you can disconnect and simplify your tech without giving up on good design.
If you’re looking to downsize your digital life this June, here are a few stylish feature phones that stand out.
If you want to cut back on screen time but aren’t quite ready to give up modern conveniences like group chats, the HMD Touch 4G is a practical middle ground. It comes in a nice Cyan or Dark Blue and has a compact, clean design that easily fits in a pocket.
Instead of a traditional keypad, it uses a small 3.2-inch touchscreen. It runs a lightweight operating system with cloud-based apps, meaning you can still use the Express Chat app for video calls, send voice notes, or check the weather over a 4G LTE or Wi-Fi connection. It’s a solid option if you want a simpler device that doesn’t completely cut you off from how your friends and family communicate today.
2. HMD Barbie Phone 4G
If you want a device that feels more like a fun accessory than a piece of tech, the HMD Barbie Phone is a great fit. It’s a bright pink flip phone that leans heavily into early 2000s nostalgia.
It comes with interchangeable back covers, stick-on gems, and a beaded lanyard with charms, allowing you to customize the hardware to your liking. Inside, the software is customized with a Barbie theme and includes simple features like digital balance tips and a Malibu Snake game.
The device has a 2.8-inch main display, a 1.77-inch outer display, a 0.3MP rear camera, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C charging, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a removable 1450mAh battery. It also supports 4G connectivity.
It’s a very basic phone at its core. You won’t find social media apps here, but it’s designed to be a fun, highly customizable accessory for when you want to leave your main phone at home and just be reachable by call or text.
There is still something satisfying about ending a call by physically snapping a phone shut, and the Nokia 2660 Flip 4G brings that familiar feeling back. Available in straightforward colors like Red, Blue, and Black, it has a classic, ergonomic design that just works.
It features a 2.8-inch inner screen and a 1.77-inch outer display, so you can check who is calling before you decide to open it. The buttons are large and easy to press, and it includes practical hardware features like a dedicated emergency contact button and a built-in FM radio. It’s a reliable, straightforward device for anyone who just wants to make clear 4G calls and send texts without any extra fuss.
For anyone who remembers the era of dedicated music phones, the Nokia 5310 is a familiar sight. It brings back the old Xpress-Music design, complete with physical music control buttons on the side and dual front-facing speakers. It comes in high-contrast Black/Red and White/Red color combinations.
It’s worth noting that this is a 2G-only device, so it’s strictly for basic calls, texts, and listening to audio. You can load up a MicroSD card with MP3s or listen to the wireless FM radio. With a battery that can last for weeks on standby, it’s a good choice if your main goal is having a portable music player that can occasionally take a phone call.

These listings indicate that the brand will launch multiple devices alongside the Reno 16 series.
Oppo Reno 16 series teased in India
The image available on the above-mentioned platforms hints at the arrival of the Reno 16, along with what appears to be the Oppo Bubble accessory and the Enco Air 5 TWS earbuds. For those unaware, the Oppo Bubble is a magnetic, circular AMOLED display that attaches to the back of a smartphone and works as a viewfinder for capturing high-quality selfies using the phone’s rear cameras.
The Oppo Enco Air 5 TWS earbuds will be positioned below the existing Enco Air 5 Pro, which is priced at Rs 4,999 in the Indian market.
Reports have revealed that the Oppo Reno 16 lineup includes multiple models, such as the Reno 16c, Reno 16F, Reno 16 FS, Reno 16, Reno 16 Pro, and Reno 16 Pro Mini. However, it appears that not all of these models will be available in every market. As for India, the brand may initially launch the Reno 16 and Reno 16c.
As far as the launch date is concerned, Oppo India has yet to confirm it. However, the brand’s global division has already revealed that the Reno 16 series will be announced on June 26 in Spain and Thailand.

Foldable smartphones are entering a new phase, with several brands preparing wider-format devices to compete in the premium segment. While Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide in July, Chinese smartphone makers are also believed to be working on similar products. Oppo is among them, and after key details of its upcoming wide foldable surfaced earlier this month, a new leak has shed more light on the company’s future plans.
Oppo Find N7 Wide’s design tipped
Chinese tipster Smart Pikachu has claimed that Oppo’s next-generation wide foldable phone, which is tentatively called the Oppo Find N7 Wide, could arrive with display technology aimed at making the crease significantly less visible. The tipster also suggested that the device may feature a horizontally arranged camera module on the rear.
The same source also claimed the Oppo Find X10 Ultra is being tested with an ultra-thin bezel design that could deliver a more immersive viewing experience. In addition, it is said to feature a circular rear camera module, continuing a design language that has become familiar across several premium Chinese flagships.
Q1 2027 launch expected
Earlier this month, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that Oppo was testing a new book-style wide foldable phone that could debut in the first quarter of 2027. The prototype was said to feature a foldable inner display measuring around 7.6 inches alongside a 5.5-inch cover screen. Samsung Display and BOE were reportedly involved in panel development.
The same leak claimed that the device could be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset built on a 2nm process. Oppo is also said to be developing a new-generation hinge mechanism designed to further minimise the display crease, a claim that now appears to align with Smart Pikachu’s latest comments.

Security researchers just dropped news of a pretty serious hardware vulnerability in some older Apple chips. It affects a bunch of still-popular iPhones, iPads, and other devices, and unfortunately, there’s no software fix possible.
The security firm Paradigm Shift recently published a detailed report and a working proof-of-concept for an exploit they call usbliter8. It targets the SecureROM (the unchangeable boot code baked directly into the processor) on devices with A12, A13, S4, and S5 chips.
The usbliter8 exploit hits models like:
iPhone XR, XS, XS Max
iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max
iPhone SE (2nd generation)
iPad Air (3rd gen), iPad mini (5th gen), iPad (8th & 9th gen)
Apple Watch Series 4, Series 5, and the first SE
Plus a few others like the 2nd-gen Apple TV 4K and Studio Display
The good news? It doesn’t touch the Secure Enclave, so your passcode and encryption keys should stay protected. It’s also not something a random thief on the street could easily pull off. It needs some technical know-how and direct access to the device. Also note that older A11 devices (like the iPhone 8 and X) aren’t affected, and newer A14 chips and beyond seem safe from this particular attack.
Paradigm Shift worked with Apple before going public. Because the flaw lives in the hardware-level code burned into the silicon during manufacturing, Apple can’t patch it with a software update. Their main advice is basically: consider upgrading to a newer device if security is a big concern for you.
For most regular people who use strong passcodes and don’t leave their phones unattended with strangers, the real-world risk is still pretty low. But if you’re using one of these older devices for work or sensitive stuff, it’s worth thinking about.
As word spreads, expect the jailbreak community to get excited, while Apple focuses on making future chips even tougher.
Google just dropped Android 17 in mid-June 2026, and it started rolling out to Pixel phones with all sorts of promises: better performance, new AI features, and smoother everything. For a lot of people, though, the excitement didn’t last long. Pretty quickly, users started flooding Reddit, X, and the usual forums with complaints about two big headaches: wonky touchscreens and flaky 5G connections.
The touchscreen issue
Some folks say their phones just stop responding to taps and swipes for random stretches. Others are dealing with something even stranger called “gesture inversion,” where swiping up scrolls the screen down, and vice versa. It’s bizarre, and it only started after the Android 17 update.
It’s hitting a wide range of Pixels, especially the new Pixel 10 series, along with the 9, 8, and 7 models. Pixel 6 users seem less affected so far, but it’s still early. The good news? It doesn’t look like a specific hardware problem, which suggests it’s a software glitch from the update itself.
A few people have found temporary relief by turning “Smooth Display” (the variable refresh rate setting) off and back on, but it’s not a guaranteed fix. Google has a solid history of squashing these kinds of Pixel bugs pretty fast through monthly updates, so there’s hope a proper patch is already in the works. That said, as of writing, Google has acknowledged the issue but hasn’t released a fix yet.
5G and WiFi connectivity problems
On top of that, plenty of users (particularly on Pixel 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 8 Pro, 8a, and even some 6a models) lost their 5G completely after updating. The phones drop down to LTE or lose signal altogether. Some are also seeing missing eSIM profiles after restarts and Wi-Fi networks that refuse to reconnect automatically. Several core Google apps (including the Google app, YouTube, Gmail, Play Store, Google Keep, and Google Photos) are also failing to load or function properly on Wi-Fi.
The Pixel community moderators have a decent workaround for now: Go to Settings > System > Reset options > Reset mobile network settings. It wipes your Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and mobile data configs (but not your apps or personal stuff), so you’ll have to set everything up again. A lot of people say this brings their 5G back.
If you’re running into these problems, the best thing you can do is report them through the feedback tool built directly into the system settings or in the official Pixel community forums. The more reports Google gets, the faster they usually move.
Casio has released a new iteration of its long-standing MQ-24 analog watch, swapping out the traditional resin strap for a stainless steel band. The newly launched MQ-24D and MQ-24G collections are now available in the US, bringing a more formal aesthetic to one of the company’s most basic and recognizable timepieces.
Design Details
The lineup consists of four distinct models. The silver-tone MQ-24DA series includes three variants: the MQ24DA-1A with a black dial, the MQ24DA-2A with a deep navy blue dial, and the MQ24DA-3A featuring an emerald green dial. For those looking for a different finish, the MQ-24GA collection offers the MQ24GA-1A, which pairs a black dial with a gold ion-plated band and case.
All four watches feature a metallic sunray dial designed to catch and reflect light, paired with raised, three-dimensional metallic indexes. It is a straightforward three-hand analog setup that prioritizes basic legibility over extra features.
From a hardware perspective, Casio is keeping the core specifications identical to the standard MQ-24 line. The watches maintain a compact and slim profile, measuring 38.8 by 34.9 mm with a thickness of just 7.8 mm. Because the main case and bezel are still constructed from resin rather than solid steel, the watches remain exceptionally light at 45 grams, even with the addition of the new metal band. The self-adjustable clasp accommodates wrist sizes ranging from 150 to 205 mm.
Internally, the watches are powered by a standard SR626SW battery, which Casio estimates will last for approximately three years. The face is protected by standard resin glass, and the watch features basic water resistance suitable for daily wear, meaning it will survive washing your hands or light rain, but it is not intended for swimming or diving.
Pricing and Availability
The new collections are positioned firmly in the budget category. The three silver-tone MQ-24DA models are priced at $54.95, while the gold-tone MQ-24GA-1A carries a slight premium at $64.95. All four models are available to purchase now.
Casio has updated its US watch lineup this month with the release of the MTP-B185 series. If you are looking for a straightforward, square-faced analog watch without any smart features, step trackers, or charging cables, these four new models fit that exact description.
Design Details
The new release includes three silver-tone stainless steel models and one gold-tone version. The differences between the three silver models come down entirely to the dial color. The MTPB185D-2A1V has a dark navy blue dial, the MTPB185D-2A2V uses a lighter ice blue, and the MTPB185D-7AV features a standard silver or white sunburst finish. The fourth model, the MTPB185G-9AV, pairs a champagne gold dial with a gold ion-plated case and band.
On the hardware side, Casio is keeping things uniform across the board. All four watches share the exact same case dimensions, measuring 40mm long, 32.5mm wide, and 7.3mm thick. At 7.3mm, they are relatively thin, which should allow them to slide easily under a shirt cuff. They weigh 80 grams, a standard weight for a stainless steel watch of this size, making them noticeable but not overly heavy on the wrist.
The feature set is as basic as it gets for an analog watch. The dial features a standard three-hand time display and a small date window. The watch face is covered by mineral glass, which is typical for this price bracket and offers standard scratch resistance, though it will not be as durable as sapphire crystal.
For water resistance, the MTP-B185 series is rated at 50 meters, or 5 bar. In practical terms, this means the watches can handle rain, hand washing, and light swimming, but they aren’t built for diving or high-pressure water activities. The stainless steel bands feature an adjustable clasp designed to fit wrist sizes ranging from 150 to 205 mm.
Pricing and Availability
Pricing is kept firmly in the budget category. The three silver models, the navy blue, ice blue, and silver sunburst, are priced at $100 each. The gold ion-plated version costs slightly more at $120 to account for the surface treatment. All four models are currently available for purchase in the US.
It looks like Qualcomm is testing two versions of the next Snapdragon flagship: a standard model that supports LPDDR5X memory and a higher-end “Pro” variant with faster LPDDR6 memory. Both versions share the same core clock speeds, so the big difference comes down to memory type. The Pro model also brings UFS 5.0 storage support, giving it enough power to handle almost anything you can throw at it.
This chipset is expected to be the most powerful 2nm Android SoC so far, targeting premium “Ultra” flagships coming in 2027. It’ll be manufactured on TSMC’s advanced 2nm process, which should bring solid gains in both performance and battery efficiency compared to previous generations.
The catch is likely the price. The top-tier Pro version could cost manufacturers over $300 per unit. That’s why Qualcomm is offering this flexible approach: brands can choose the more affordable LPDDR5X version for slightly cheaper flagships or go all-in with LPDDR6 for maximum bandwidth and better on-device AI performance.
Early block diagrams show the usual high-end layout, with a stronger GPU (rumored to be the Adreno 850 in the Pro) and solid multi-core performance. As usual, we’ll probably see binned versions later on, possibly with 7-core CPU setups for different price points.
Overall, this dual-version strategy feels like a smart response to the rising costs in the premium segment. The LPDDR6 models will go after the absolute top-tier buyers, while the LPDDR5X versions could bring near-flagship experiences to a slightly wider audience.
We should hear more official details later in 2026. If the rumors hold up, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro looks set to power the next wave of truly high-end Android phones, balancing raw power with the practical realities manufacturers are facing right now.

In classic Nothing fashion, the company just dropped another cryptic teaser. Just hours after confirming they’re skipping a new CMF smartphone in 2026 because of rising component costs, Nothing’s official X account posted a single mysterious character: “(b)”. The timing feels far from random, and fans are already speculating it’s a hint at something new coming to the main smartphone lineup.
The teaser follows co-founder Akis Evangelidis’ candid explanation that skyrocketing RAM and storage prices made a proper successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro nearly impossible without raising prices or cutting corners, something the budget-focused brand didn’t want to do.
Instead of going silent, Nothing quickly shifted gears with this teaser. The teaser has sparked speculation about a possible Nothing Phone (4b). It would sit alongside the recently launched Phone (4a) and (4a) Pro, potentially filling a gap in their mid-range lineup. Interestingly, Nothing hasn’t released a full flagship Phone (4) this year, keeping the Phone (3) as their current top model while focusing more on the accessible “a” series.
A “b” variant would be new territory for the brand: they’ve mostly stuck to regular numbers and “a” suffixes until now. Some people think it could be a refreshed mid-ranger with upgrades like a better Glyph interface, improved cameras, or stronger battery life. Others are keeping their options open, wondering if it might not even be a phone, maybe a new audio product (like earbuds or headphones) under a “b” series.
Either way, this is pure Nothing: playful, minimalist teasers that get the community guessing and talking. With reports of softer-than-expected sales for the Phone (3) in some markets, leaning harder into smart mid-range options makes a lot of sense, especially with the current component price challenges.
It feels like more clues are coming soon. One thing’s for sure: Nothing is not planning to slow down. Whether it’s a Phone (4b) or something totally unexpected, the next few weeks should be interesting.
Portronics has released a new portable charger in India, the Aero 10. It is a 10,000mAh power bank that supports 20W charging and features an integrated USB-C cable. The device is positioned as a straightforward utility accessory for users who want to avoid carrying separate charging cables for their daily electronics.
Portronics Aero 10 Specifications
Instead of the usual rectangular slab design common to most power banks, the Aero 10 uses a square shape with rounded corners and a standard matte exterior. It weighs 245 grams, which is typical for a 10,000mAh battery pack, and is small enough to fit into most pockets or small bag compartments without taking up much space. Portronics is selling the device in three standard colors: Black, Navy Blue, and Mocha.
The power bank comes with a built-in, flat-braided USB-C cable. This cable handles both power output to charge your devices and power input to recharge the power bank itself. It also physically loops into the chassis to act as a lanyard for carrying. In addition to the integrated cable, there is a standard USB-C port on the device, which also supports two-way charging. This dual setup allows users to plug in a second cable and charge two devices simultaneously.
Regarding performance, the Aero 10 maxes out at 20W via USB Power Delivery (PD). While 20W is not particularly fast compared to the higher-wattage chargers available today, it is sufficient for standard fast charging on most modern Android smartphones, as well as smaller accessories like wireless earbuds, tablets, and smartwatches. It will not be adequate for charging larger hardware like laptops.
Pricing and Availability
The Portronics Aero 10 is available now in India. The official retail price is listed at Rs. 2,499 ($26), but it is currently available at a launch price of Rs. 1,249 ($13).
It can be purchased through the Portronics website, Amazon India, Flipkart, and physical retail stores. The power bank comes with a standard 12-month manufacturer warranty.
In related news, Ugreen has recently introduced a 45W 10,000mAh smart power bank featuring a built-in USB-C cable and color display, while Portronics launched a 20,000mAh power bank with 35W fast charging, integrated cables, and an LED display.

AISpeech has introduced a new dedicated voice recorder in China, the TalkNote Flagship AI Recording Card, priced at 1,299 yuan (around $192). The device is designed to handle audio recording, transcription, and cloud syncing in a form factor small enough to fit inside a wallet or a standard office badge holder.
AISpeech TalkNote Specifications
Physically, the TalkNote measures 86 x 55 x 4.5 mm and weighs 43 grams, giving it the approximate footprint of a credit card. It features a grey finish and includes a small 0.95-inch AMOLED display. The screen is straightforward, used primarily for checking battery life and current recording status rather than navigating complex menus.
For audio capture, the device relies on a five-microphone array consisting of four omnidirectional microphones and a single bone-conduction microphone. According to AISpeech, this hardware combination allows for clear voice pickup within a five-meter radius, with a maximum effective range of eight meters. It also utilizes onboard noise reduction to filter out ambient background sound in busy environments.
The device comes with built-in 4G, alongside standard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. AISpeech includes lifetime free 4G data specifically for cloud synchronization. This allows the device to automatically upload audio files to the cloud as soon as a recording session ends, meaning users don’t have to manually transfer files to a computer or phone via the included USB-C port. The device is powered by a 750mAh battery, which the company says provides up to 45 hours of continuous recording and 60 days of standby time.
On the software side, the TalkNote is built around automated transcription. It supports 25 foreign languages and 57 Chinese dialects, and it can automatically switch between Chinese and English during a conversation. AISpeech claims a transcription accuracy rate of up to 98% under supported conditions. Once the audio is uploaded, the companion software can generate meeting summaries, identify different speakers, and extract action items.
The device comes with 64GB of internal storage and includes a three-month subscription to AISpeech’s OfficeClaw platform, which manages the AI-generated notes and tasks.
In a pretty big surprise for the AI world, China’s Zhipu AI’s latest model, GLM-5.2, just grabbed the top spot in one of the most respected creative coding benchmarks out there.
On June 19, 2026, Design Arena announced on X that GLM-5.2 has taken the #1 position in their single-round HTML web design leaderboard (non-agent category). The platform, basically the world’s first big crowdsourced benchmark where real people blindly vote on AI-generated designs, says it beat out Claude Fable 5, along with the Opus 4.6 and 4.7 versions. That’s a solid five-place jump from its predecessor, GLM-5.1, landing it with an Elo score around 1360 in the Code Categories arena.
What makes this win stand out is how the model actually designs. It’s apparently excellent at clean layouts, pulling in images from CDNs, typography, visual hierarchy, and those nice subtle animations that make a site feel alive. It also plays really nicely with popular libraries like Chart.js and Three.js. According to the results, it boosted its win rate by about 6 percentage points this time around.
One interesting detail: GLM-5.2 leans heavily on Tailwind CSS (showing up in 91% of its designs) and Font Awesome (51%). By comparison, Fable 5 only used Tailwind in about 57% of its sessions, which might explain some of the practical gaps people noticed.
Beyond the design quality, the pricing is a breath of fresh air. GLM-5.2’s API runs around $1.40 per million input tokens and $4.40 for output, way more affordable than Fable 5’s $10/$50. Plus, it’s an open-weights model under the MIT license with a solid 1M-token context window, which means teams can run it locally and tackle bigger, longer projects without being locked into a proprietary service.
Design Arena’s approach gives these results real weight: millions of votes from actual creators focused on real aesthetics and usability, not just synthetic tests. This isn’t just a win for web design; it puts GLM-5.2 among the strongest open models across broader coding benchmarks too.
For the AI community, this feels like another sign that Chinese labs are moving fast in specialized creative areas. While Claude Fable 5 is a strong player, GLM-5.2’s mix of strong performance, low cost, and openness could make it a go-to choice for a lot of web development teams going forward.
OpenAI may be getting ready to launch its next-generation AI model, GPT-5.6, as early as next week, according to reports circulating among testers and AI enthusiasts. Improved Reasoning and Problem-Solving
One of the biggest rumored upgrades is a major improvement in reasoning capabilities. Early feedback suggests GPT-5.6 can better understand complex instructions, plan multi-step tasks, and solve difficult problems with fewer mistakes.
Testers reported that projects which previously required multiple revisions and 20 to 40 minutes of work can now be completed more efficiently. While some front-end web development limitations reportedly remain, users describe the model as showing deeper understanding and more reliable decision-making.
According to leaked information, OpenAI may have increased an internal reasoning parameter known as “Juice Value” from 768 to 960, potentially contributing to stronger performance.
Larger Context Window Could Reach 1.5 Million Tokens
Another major rumor centers on a substantial context window upgrade. Reports suggest GPT-5.6 could expand the maximum context length from 1 million tokens to 1.5 million tokens.
If accurate, the increase would allow the model to process larger codebases, longer conversations, extensive research documents, and more complex workflows within a single session. Developers could benefit from improved memory and continuity when working on large projects.
Stronger Coding and Agent Capabilities
Coding performance appears to be one of the primary areas of improvement. Early testers claim GPT-5.6 delivers better code understanding, stronger planning abilities, and more reliable execution across multi-step development tasks.
Some reports suggest the model performs particularly well in agent-based coding workflows and software development benchmarks. Testers also highlighted improvements in SVG generation, 3D design creation, and robotic simulation tasks.
According to several users, GPT-5.6 Pro may outperform some competing models in coding-related benchmarks, although results vary depending on the specific test.
Higher Quality Comes With Slower Responses
Not all feedback has focused on speed. Some testers reported that GPT-5.6 takes considerably longer to complete demanding tasks.
In one example, developer Conor Dart used the model to create a browser-based 3D game with physics simulation and camera controls. The generation process reportedly took more than an hour but produced significantly better results than previous versions.

Benchmarker Chris compared GPT-5.6 Pro against GPT-5.5 Extra High and found that while GPT-5.6 generated higher-quality outputs, it required substantially more time to finish the task. This has led many testers to conclude that OpenAI may be prioritizing reasoning quality over raw speed.
Competition in the AI Race Continues
The rumored release comes at a time of intense competition in the AI industry. Chinese AI models such as GLM-5.2 and Anthropic’s latest systems are pushing the boundaries of coding and agent performance.
Reports indicate OpenAI may respond not only with stronger models but also with more aggressive pricing. Some sources claim OpenAI’s current token costs are already significantly lower than Anthropic’s, and further reductions could increase pressure across the AI market.
Industry observers believe a combination of lower costs and improved performance could help OpenAI strengthen its position among developers and enterprise customers.
Possible Launch Date Emerges
Several rumors point to June 25 as a possible launch date. Some testers believe OpenAI is currently conducting stealth A/B testing through GPT-5.5 Pro, allowing the company to gather real-world feedback before a wider rollout.
Prediction market traders have also shown growing confidence in a release during the week of June 22 to June 28, with some forecasts assigning high probabilities to a launch within that period.
OpenAI Has Not Confirmed the Reports
Despite the growing excitement, OpenAI has not officially confirmed the existence of GPT-5.6, its specifications, pricing, or launch schedule.
Most of the current information comes from social media reports, alleged leaks, early tester feedback, and industry speculation. Until OpenAI makes an official announcement, all details regarding GPT-5.6 should be treated as unconfirmed.
If the rumors prove accurate, GPT-5.6 could represent a significant step forward for OpenAI’s AI platform. Early reports point to stronger reasoning, better coding performance, larger context windows, and improved agent capabilities. While the model may take longer to generate responses, testers suggest the trade-off could be worth it for users seeking higher-quality results. For now, the AI community is waiting to see whether OpenAI officially unveils GPT-5.6 in the coming days.
With just days to go before the big reveal, OnePlus is getting everyone talking about its upcoming budget smartphone, the N6.
Positioned as a more wallet-friendly option below the Nord series, the phone (model CPH2955) seems to prioritize real-world usability over flashy specs. It recently popped up on Geekbench, confirming it’s powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chipset, an octa-core processor with two performance Cortex-A76 cores (up to 2.4 GHz) and six efficiency-focused A55 cores, paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
In the tests, it scored around 780 in single-core and 2,000 in multi-core while running Android 16 with 6GB of RAM. Nothing mind-blowing, but sufficient for everyday tasks like scrolling through social media, streaming, and light multitasking. These scores are also right in line with what we’ve seen from the Dimensity 6300 in other phones.
The real star here is the battery. OnePlus has already confirmed an 8,000 mAh monster, apparently the biggest in the ₹15,000–₹25,000 range. The company claims you can get up to three days of typical use out of it, and they’re promising the battery will stay healthy for up to seven years. It supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging, so when you do need to top up, it won’t take forever.
The phone is set to launch in India on June 30, 2026, in black and green colors, with sales going live on Amazon. While we still don’t have the full specs (especially the display and cameras), the early signs point to a phone that focuses on reliable daily performance, smooth OxygenOS 16, and that massive battery life.
This feels like a smart move from OnePlus. Instead of trying to compete on flagship features, they’re doubling down on what actually matters to a lot of regular users.
We’ll know a lot more once the official event happens, but right now the N6 is looking like a solid, no-nonsense pick for anyone who wants long-lasting battery life and decent performance without breaking the bank.
