Sony ZV-E10 II vlog camera and new lenses rumored to launch on July 10th

Sony‘s highly anticipated ZV-E10 II camera is reportedly set to launch on July 10th, alongside a new APS-C zoom lens specifically designed for content creators.

This news comes from reliable source SonyAlphaRumors who claims their sources have confirmed the launch date and some key details about the upcoming camera.

Sony Alpha ZV-E10
Sony Alpha ZV-E10 White

The ZV-E10 II is expected to boast a 26MP APS-C CMOS sensor, similar to the one found in the popular A6700. This sensor upgrade should translate to improved image quality and performance compared to the first-generation ZV-E10.

Rumors also suggest Sony might also introduce new AI-powered features in the ZV-E10 II. This could potentially translate to improved autofocus capabilities, particularly for vloggers who frequently switch between themselves and their subjects.

Sony is reportedly launching a brand new E-mount 16-50mm F/3.5-5.6 OSS II zoom lens alongside the ZV-E10 II. This kit lens seems tailor-made for vloggers, offering a versatile zoom range suitable for capturing a variety of shots, from wide angle scenes to close-up shots. The inclusion of Optical SteadyShot (OSS) stabilization promises smooth, shake-free footage, a must-have for handheld vlogging.

While the ZV-E10 II and its kit lens seem set for a July 10th debut, the fate of the rumored FE 85mm F/1.4 GM II lens is less clear. Sources suggest it’s coming soon, but a July 10th launch remains unconfirmed. This high-end prime lens promises improved image quality and performance over its predecessor, all wrapped in a lighter and more compact design.

For those unfamiliar with the original ZV-E10, it was launched in August 2021 and quickly gained popularity among vloggers. This APS-C camera featured a 24.2MP sensor and offered impressive image quality with good low-light performance. It came with 4K video recording and supports S-Log2, S-Log3, and HLG profiles.

The ZV-E10 also boasted several vlogging-centric features like “Background Defocus” for smooth bokeh transitions and the “Product Showcase Setting” for quick focus shifts between the subject and displayed products. The ZV-E10 was priced at $700 for the body only and $800 with the E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS power zoom lens kit.

Huawei rumored to be developing new energy-efficient Taishan cores for new Kirin chips

A fresh new leak suggests that Huawei is working on next-generation Taishan cores, which promise significant performance and power efficiency improvements over the current Kirin 9000s cores. This development could lead to a major boost for future Kirin chips.

Tipster Jasonwhoill on X (formerly Twitter) claims that Huawei is testing new Taishan cores that surpass the performance of the Kirin 9000s processor. These cores, similar in design to Apple’s small cores, reportedly achieve exceptionally low power consumption.

According to the leak, the new cores scored 350 points in single-core Geekbench 5 testing, compared to the Kirin 9000s cores’ 200 points. Currently, the Kirin 9000s utilizes Cortex-A510 low-energy cores, the first ARMv9 ‘LITTLE’ CPU cores, which were also seen in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip back in 2022.

Huawei Kirin PC chip

There is also a rumor that Huawei is developing a Kirin PC chip with the Taishan V130 architecture, which could rival Apple’s M3.

A previous report indicated that a new CPU architecture might be used in the upcoming Mate 70 series, potentially featuring a powerful 5nm chipset, signaling an evolution in Huawei’s smartphone technology.

However, Huawei has not confirmed any of these developments, so it’s wise to take this information with caution.

There are ongoing discussions about a new Kirin chipset and its CPU architecture, with claims that it could surpass the performance of the Kirin 9000s. These rumors, however, contradict Huawei’s previous statements.

The company has emphasized improving existing 7nm chips rather than developing entirely new technologies. Additionally, US sanctions limit Huawei’s access to advanced chip-making equipment, hindering its ability to compete technologically.

For now, the situation surrounding these rumors remains unclear. Hopefully, more information will emerge in the coming days to clarify this developing story.

Huawei Pura 70 Satellite Messaging Edition uses new Kirin 9010E processor, Geekbench performance revealed

Huawei launched the Pura 70 smartphone back in April in its domestic market. The device later arrived in global markets like Europe and Malaysia. The brand has now launched the Huawei Pura 70 Beidou Satellite Messaging Edition smartphone, which as the name suggests, will be able to send and receive SMS via satellite.

Tipster WHYLAB has recently shared a couple of posts on Weibo revealing more details about this new device. As per the tipster, the Huawei Pura 70 Satellite SMS Edition, also known as the Huawei Pura 70 Beidou Satellite Messaging Edition, features the Kirin 9010E chipset. For those unaware, the original Pura 70 features a Kirin 9000S1 SoC.

Huawei Pura 70 Satellite messaging edition

This new chip comes with a 12-core architecture (8 cores, 12 threads), offering two 2.19GHz large cores, six 2.18GHz medium, and four 1.55GHz small cores. As for graphics, it uses Huawei’s self-developed Maleoon 910 750MHz GPU. The tipster has also provided the Geekbench score of the Kirin 9010E chip running on the Huawei Pura 70 Beidou Satellite Messaging Edition 12GB RAM model. It has scored 1358 points on the single-core test and 4343 points on the multi-core test of Geekbench 6.2.2.

HUAWEI Pura 70

The device’s performance seems to be slightly weaker compared to the regular Pura 70 smartphone. This is likely because the Kirin 9010E chip’s large cores are clocked approximately 120MHz lower than those of the Kirin 9000S1. That said, the performance difference isn’t significant enough to hinder daily use. The rest of the specifications on board are the same as the regular Pura 70 model.

OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open receive Android 15 Beta 2 update with bug fixes

OnePlus has begun rolling out the second beta update for Android 15 to the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open smartphones.

Since the update is still in the early development stages, the company says this is “best suited for developers and other advanced users” and it does not recommend using it if “you have little to no experience in software development, if you expect to use the device as a daily driver”. So it’s recommended you download the update only if you’re comfortable with navigating potentially unstable software.

OnePlus 12 Android 15 Beta 2

According to the official announcement on the OnePlus forum, Android 15 Beta 2 focuses on improvements to system stability and performance. It also includes a fix for an issue where the Auto Pixelate function wasn’t working during screenshot previews. OnePlus Open devices specifically will also see a fix for problems encountered in split-screen mode.

However, note that the update is still in beta and comes with issues. OnePlus has listed the issues they have spotted so far in the latest build.

According to the company, OnePlus 12 users may encounter problems when playing music, using Air Gestures, switching camera modes, and selecting icon styles in the Wallpapers & Style settings. There are also reports of probabilistic stability issues.

OnePlus Open Android 15 Beta 2

OnePlus Open users will experience similar issues with music playback, Air Gestures, and icon styles. Additionally, recent task cards may not disappear after splitting the screen, photos may not show the ProXDR button, the booting animation might be incomplete, and the taskbar may display abnormally when using floating windows. You can check the full changelog and issues at this link

Those interested in participating in the beta program can find instructions on the OnePlus forum. If you decide to update, make sure to back up your data beforehand, as it wipes the phone clean during installation.

Infinix Note 40s 4G listed on official website with 3D AMOLED display and magCharge wireless charging

Infinix has not yet officially announced the release date for the Infinix Note 40s 4G, but details about the phone have surfaced online. The leak comes courtesy of Passionategeekz, which spotted a full specifications page for the device on the company’s official site.

So the Note 40s 4G has a design and specifications similar to the Note 40 and Note 40 Pro, which were launched in India in March. It features the same 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED display along with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Infinix Note 40s 4G

For performance, the phone has the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chip that powers the Note 40 as well. The camera setup on the Note 40s 4G is slightly different though as the phone has a dual-sensor configuration compared to the three sensors on the Note 40 and Note 40 Pro.

However, the primary 108MP sensor and 2MP macro sensor remain the same. The phone also retains the fancy Halo AI lighting ring, which changes light based on notifications, calls, charging status, and more.

In terms of memory, the phone comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM (expandable up to 8GB virtually) and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It runs XOS 14 based on Android 14 and is promised two years of Android updates and three years of security patches.

The Note 40s 4G has a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast wired charging. Additionally, like other Note 40 series phones, it includes 20W wireless charging with magCharge technology.

Other features include an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, NFC support for contactless payments, and a dual-speaker setup tuned by JBL. The phone will be available in Obsidian Black and Vintage Green.

Although the device is listed on the company’s site itself, Infinix has not revealed the official launch date. There’s no mention of the price of the phone as well.

Realme 13 Pro+ battery, software, design details revealed via FCC, launch imminent

A new Realme phone with RMX3921 has received FCC approval recently. While the listing doesn’t specify the phone’s name, it is believed to be the Realme 13 Pro+. Here’s what the FCC reveals about the phone.

The Realme 13 Pro+ will have a slightly slimmer profile compared to its predecessor, the Realme 12 Pro+. The dimensions are listed as 161.34 x 73.91 x 8.23mm, making it marginally narrower and thinner than the 12 Pro+, which measures 161.5 x 74 x 8.8mm.

The weight also appears to have dipped slightly. The new model will weigh 190 grams, down from the 196 grams of the Realme 12 Pro+. Despite the reduction in heft, the battery capacity seems to be getting a small increase. The certification reveals the 13 Pro+ will have a 5,050mAh battery, compared to the 5,000mAh unit in the 12 Pro+. Realme might market it as a 5100mAh or 5200mAh cell.

There’s no mention of charging speeds, but the listed charger model VCB80AUH with”80″ in the model number suggests it could be an 80W charger. If true, it would be an upgrade from the 67W fast charging supported by the Realme 12 Pro+.

The software side of things reveals the phone will likely run on Realme UI 5 (based on Android 14), although the FCC listing mentions ColorOS 14. 5G connectivity is confirmed with support for both SA and NSA modes.

We also have several other details about the device from rumors, if they are accurate. The Realme 13 Pro+ is said to have a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with a 3x periscope lens for telephoto zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. The front-facing camera will reportedly be a 32MP sensor.

The display is expected to be similar to its predecessor, featuring a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Xiaomi MIX Flip and Redmi K70 Ultra system apps leaked before launch (APK Teardown)

Before Xiaomi announced the MIX Flip and Redmi K70 Ultra, an interesting development happened. Some system apps for both smartphones have been leaked. We checked the validity of the apps and found out that the apps were really leaked. Leaking the apps before the launch means that we are very close to the devices. Xiaomi is expected to announce new products in the first week of July.

Xiaomi MIX Flip and Redmi K70 Ultra’s leaked system apps at a look

In this article, we take a deep look at the leaked system apps of the Xiaomi MIX Flip and Redmi K70 Ultra. The Xiaomi Clock app for the MIX Flip has leaked, while the Xiaomi AI Translate app for the Redmi K70 Ultra has been revealed. We have examined the code lines of both apps in detail and confirm that the apps belong to the smartphones specified.

We have spotted that a special device codenamed “ruyi” has been added to the Xiaomi Clock app. The “ruyi” codename is known to belong to the MIX Flip. Compared to the previous Xiaomi Clock app, the new app has many lines of code related to the MIX Flip. We make this comparison by examining versions 15.26.0 and 15.30.0 of the app. The clock app for MIX Flip has version number 15.30.0. These lines of code were written by Xiaomi to make the app run smoothly on the foldable device.

Also, a Xiaomi AI Translate app for the Redmi K70 Ultra has been leaked. This app is used for instant subtitle translations and has special features for flagship devices. The Xiaomi AI Translate app not only shows us the Redmi K70 Ultra, but also some tweaks for the MIX Flip and MIX FOLD 4.

As you can see above, there are 3 smartphones with the codenames “rothko”, “ruyi” and “goku”. These are the Redmi K70 Ultra, MIX Flip and MIX FOLD 4 respectively. All this is a proof that the launch of the devices is quite a short time away. We are comparing to apps with versions 4.9.3 and 5.0.0.0.

Apart from these, there is nothing else to say. The features of the devices have already been leaked. The Redmi K70 Ultra will feature the Dimensity 9300 SOC, while the MIX Flip and FOLD 4 will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Both chips are extremely powerful and we’re looking forward to the new smartphones.

Xiaomi released a new update that we can call “HyperOS 1.5”

Xiaomi has started rolling out a new update, we can call the HyperOS 1.5, for flagship smartphones. Why do we call this update HyperOS 1.5? Because Xiaomi is rolling out an important update that brings new features and improvements to many devices. This is actually an important indicator that Xiaomi is finished with HyperOS 1.0 and is preparing for HyperOS 2.0 to be introduced in the near future.

Xiaomi says goodbye to the “old couplet” and prepares for HyperOS 2.0

Xiaomi announced that it would say goodbye to “old boring changelogs” and improve HyperOS updates with new testing methods. Today, Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Redmi K60 Ultra received a surprising new HyperOS update. The new HyperOS update released had a very detailed changelog. This confirms Xiaomi’s previous announcement and shows that the first steps are being taken for HyperOS 2.0.

We refer to the new update as HyperOS 1.5. Xiaomi often adds long changelogs to important UI updates. This update for the 4 flagship smartphones also had a very detailed changelog. Considering the brand’s traditional update release policy, this update is actually HyperOS 1.5. Of course, Xiaomi does not specify that this update is HyperOS 1.5.
