Zopo is one of the Chinese phone maker that always offers the Android smartphone, is now they  increasingly raised as one of the Aliyun OS smartphone maker.

In China, Zopo now reportedly has just released its newest smartphone models Zopo C2 or Xiaohei. Aliyun Alibaba OS-based handset has a super slim design figure of just 8.5mm and weighs only 119g. In terms of the display screen, the phone is provided by the LTPS touch screen size of 5 inches with support for Full HD resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels) and a super thin bezel measuring just 2.47mm.

As power on system performance in it, this smartphone seems to be relying on the support of reliability MediaTek MT6589 quad core 1.2GHz processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU and 1GB of RAM. Not to mention the existence of a 4GB storage using microSD expansion support up to 64GB capacity.

With the support of powerful 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front facing camera, this  phone capable of recording Full HD video and the use of CMOS image sensors. In addition to support Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, GPS / AGPS, and WiFi, Zopo C2 is also compatible with mobile network quad-band GSM / EDGE and dual-band 3G HSDPA 850/2100MHz.

Targeting the mid-range segment, the priced of this Aliyun OS smartphone is about 1399 RMB, or around to $210 USD.

Although the launch of Aliyun OS-based smartphone from Acer has been canceled on last September, is now the OS that ‘inspired’ from Android it comes back. Zopo, is the one phone maker from China has been launching the new smartphone that running with Aliyun OS.

Zopo C2 has a fairly has cool specifications. Packs with 5 inches full HD screen, powered by quad-core processor from MediaTek MT6589 1.2 Ghz, embed with PowerVR SGX544 GPU, and sports with 1GB of RAM. The phone also prepared an additional 4GB of internal memory with microSD slot, audio technology from Yamaha, and 2.000mAh battery, and HSPA + connection.

For business image capture, this phone is equally powerful with a number of top-tier mobile phones. There is also 13 megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and the 5 megapixel  front-facing camera. The front-facing camera resolution is high enough compete with another vendor. The resolution of the front camera is similar to OPPO Ulike 2.

Interestingly, of the specification is very high, the smartphone thickness is only 8.5 mm and offers with priced at 1,399 yuan, or about $220 USD. Currently Zopo has begun to open its first sale to 5,000 subscribers in China.

Aliyun OS or better known as Ali Cloud OS in the English version is a Linux distribution platform designed for smartphones. The platform itself was developed by AliCloud which incidentally is one of the Alibaba Group subsidiary based in China.

In line with its development since the year 2011, these operating systems have drawn the attention of producers in China. Earlier today, six new devices running on Aliyun OS were unveiled in China. Zopo has two new devices and the rest are from G’Five, Konka, Amoi and Small Chili.

The first is a high end device Zopo Black, which is equipped by a 5-inch touch screen features with support for 1080p FHD resolution, MediaTek MT6589 processor Quad Core 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of ROM, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera and 2000mAh battery. While the second is the existence intake Zopo White features 5-inch touch screen HD 720p, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and the rest is similar to Zopo Black.

The third device is G’Five Big 7 is equipped with a 5.7-inch 720p HD screen, quad-core processor 1.2GHz MediaTek MT6589 and 2500mAh battery. While the fourth and fifth, respectively Amoi Big Ka (which is equipped with 4.5 inch touch screen, quad-core processor MediaTek MT6589, 8MP rear camera and 3MP front camera) and Konka KOMI V1 (which has a display screen that is similar to Big Amoi Ka but with a Dual Core processor MediaTek MT6517T). And not only that, for the sixth named Small Chili M1Y also been supported by MSM8225Q Snapdragon processor.

All devices that have been mentioned just now apparently now been marketed in China with a price range between 899 RMB or around $140 USD to 1,999 RMB or around $323 USD per unit.

There is many rumors and question about the Ali Cloud OS, this operating system is a Linux distribution designed for smartphones. It is developed by AliCloud, a subsidiary of Chinese company Alibaba Group.

Google has been banned this OS recently, according to Google, Aliyun is a forked but incompatible version of its open-source Android operating system. And Goole claim that Acer device is not compatible with Aliyun OS.

Google seems to feel disturbed by the development of Alibaba. In a recent statement, Alibaba said that Google has forced Acer to not use Aliyun OS which mobile OS developed by Alibaba.

And now we got the spy photo of new version of Aliyun OS. From the spy photos in thumbnail view, quite similar to the Task Manager and Windows Phone 8 system.

There is no detail information on the spy photos for this time yet, but if the new version of Ali cloud OS, Spy Shots should soon meet with the majority of users, which we will continue to focus on.

After we’ve covered the news regarding Google to forced Acer not to use Aliyun OS, the One of the Google leaders, Andy Rubin finally given reasons for banning Acer to use Aliyun OS. In a blog post, Rubin says that there are compatibility issues when Acer smartphone used Aliyun OS.

Rubin explains that Aliyun OS which developed by Alibaba is Android OS that has been modified. And, due to these modifications, the OS can not be used on Android devices. In addition, he said that Acer is a member of the Open Handset Alliance, Acer is not allowed to use the Aliyun OS.

Google also explained that compatibility issues are things that must be kept. “The version of Android is not compatible with Aliyun, and could damage the system,” Google wrote.

Previously, Acer is planning to release a smartphone based on Aliyun OS. And, before it was officially released, Acer delay the launch of the smartphone. Those Acer CloudMobile is a smartphone will be running Android OSA but for Chinese market Acer change the operating system to Aliyun OS, because that OS is more user friendly with Chinese user.

Alibaba is known as one of the giant companies based in China. The company also has several business units, from search engines, e-commerce or mobile OS. No wonder so many people are saying that Alibaba is a Chinese version of Google.

Google seems to feel disturbed by the development of Alibaba. In a recent statement, Alibaba said that Google has forced Acer to not use Aliyun OS which mobile OS developed by Alibaba.

According to Alibaba, all related to Acer plans to launch Acer CloudMobile with Aliyun OS for the Chinese market. Yet according to plan, on September, Acer will conduct a press conference launching a smartphone based on Aliyun. And, according to Dow Jones, the plan had to be canceled.

“Our partners obtained records from Google that if the product they are using Aliyun OS, then Google will remove Android-related collaboration and licensing of technology with our partner,” said a spokesman for Alibaba to CNet.

And, Alibaba also said that they understand Acer’s decision to delay the introduction of smartphones Aliyun press conference. Meanwhile, Google still has not provided information related to the claims of Alibaba.
