Hence, there is a possibility that the Blade V10 will go official at MWC 2019 in the coming month. A new smartphone with model number ZTE V1000 that is believed to be the Blade V10 smartphone has appeared with entire specifications and images on TENAA.

ZTE Blade V10 Images

The ZTE V1000 smartphone images that have appeared on TENAA suggests it is equipped with a glass rear. The frontside of the phone seems to feature a waterdrop-style notched screen. Its rear side is fitted with a vertical dual camera setup at the top-left corner. A fingerprint scanner and ZTE logo are placed on the top-half of the rear shell of the device.

The 64 GB variant of the Blade V10 will include 4 GB of RAM whereas its 128 GB edition will come with 6 GB of RAM. It will feature a microSD card slot for additional storage.
As of this writing, there is no information available on the price tag of Blade V10. Last year, the Blade V9 Vita was launched with weaker specs alongside the Blade V9 phone. It got slammed with a 7-year ban that prevents it from getting components and software from American companies. That means no Qualcomm chips in its devices and possibly no Google services too for the duration of the ban.

One of its upcoming devices, the Blade V9 which was launched at this year’s MWC has appeared on TENAA which means it should launch in China and go on sale soon.

The device is listed on TENAA as the ZTE V0900. It has a 5.7” 2160 x 1080 display which gives it an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core processor which is the Snapdragon 450 mobile platform.

The ZTE V9 will be available in 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM variants with 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB of storage. On its rear is a 16MP sensor paired with another 5MP sensor while the front camera is an 8MP sensor.

The phone will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and pack a 3,100mAh battery. It will also have support for a MicroSD card, have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and be available in Black, Blue, and Gold.

All these specs are impressive for a mid-range device but the big question is if the device will go on sale.

READ MORE: The ZTE Iceberg Has Two Notches, Dual Cameras, & Might Be Modular

It is almost two months since it was first announced at MWC along with a less-powerful version called the Blade V9 Vita. Since it was announced before the ban, it may go on sale without any hitch. However, the Blade V9′ page on ZTE’s official website has been taken down. We do not know if it was taken down before the ban or after.

Nevertheless, if the Blade V9 will go on sale, it appears China will be the first country to receive it.

The Blade V9 and V9 Vita once again reiterate the transformation of the mid-range segment to one with a premium built and well-studded models that could pass for flagships. They seem to offer good value for the $300 and $250 price tags they are slammed with, going by the designs and specs.

Design wise, the ZTE Blade V9 is said to be relatively light despite packing a massive 5.7-inch display and a metal frame wrapped with glass on both sides. The ZTE Blade V9 Vita doesn’t have a glass covering and features a plastic body. Both models sport LCD displays but while the Blade V9 has an FHD+ display, the Blade V9 Vita comes with an HD+ display. Apart from the Blade V9, the U.S. also receive another new phone from the company – the Blade X2 Max. A leaked image of the phone has been revealed by Android Authority. It claims that the image has been provided to it through a reliable source. The handset is speculated to launch in late spring this year.

The Blade X2 Max will be arriving to replace the Blade X Max smartphone from last year. The original phone was launched in May 2017 through Cricket Wireless in the U.S. The same carrier is rumored to sell the Blade X2 Max in the country. Since it is speculated to debut in late spring, it is likely that it may start selling in May this year.

The original Blade X Max came with specs like 6-inch Full HD display. It was powered by Snapdragon 435 chipset and 2 GB of RAM. Its other specs include support for microSD card, 32 GB inbuilt storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera and 3,400mAh battery. It was launched with a pricing of $149 through Cricket Wireless.

Read More: ZTE Blade V9 Seen On Geekbench Ahead of MWC Launch

There is no information available on the specs of the Blade X2 Max, but it is likely to feature a 6-inch Full HD display. The image of the phone suggests that it will be arriving with a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio display. The Snapdragon 450 chipset may fuel the smartphone. Its SoC may be accompanied by 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM. It may come with at least 32 GB of native storage. It is likely to house a larger battery and also feature a USB-C port.

Since the handset does not seem to have a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, it appears that the biometric recognition feature could be placed on its rear. The handset may come preinstalled with Android 8.0 Oreo. It is likely to be priced around $150 to $200 in the U.S.

According to the benchmark site, the ZTE Blade V9 is running Android 8.1 Oreo. This means when when it launches it should come with the latest version of Android. It also has 3GB of RAM and is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz.

Based on the specs from the early reveal last year, this is the Snapdragon 450 – the current king of the 400 series. The chipset comes with an Adreno 506 GPU and has support for FHD+ displays.

The phone scored 772 points in the single-core test and 3931 in the multi-core test. These are similar to the scores (769 and 3548 respectively) of the Redmi 5, another phone powered by the same chipset.

However, ZTE’s Blade V9 packs a lot more than Xiaomi’s Redmi 5. It has an 18:9 5.7” display too but with a FHD+ resolution unlike the Redmi 5’s HD+. It also has dual rear cameras, a front camera with a higher pixel count, and runs a newer version of Android.

ZTE is expected to announce the device at MWC with an affordable price tag. Although there have been no sightings of more variants but judging by its predecessors, the Blade V8, we are looking forward to Pro, Lite and Mini variants of the Blade V9.

However, that won’t be the case as a new phone called the Blade V9 has appeared on the manufacturer’s Spanish website.

ZTE Blade V9 Design

The ZTE Blade V9 has a double sided glass design. The glass on the rear appears to be reflective like HTC’s U series. It will also likely get smudged easily.

The bezels on the front of the phone are smaller to accommodate the bigger screen. That change in design has prompted ZTE to move the fingerprint scanner to the back.

Overall, the V9 is a significant improvement over the V8 with respect to design. Not only does it look better, but it is thinner at 7.5mm even with a significantly larger battery and has nearly the same weight as the V8.

ZTE Blade V9 Specs

The Blade V9 has a 5.7” FHD+ Incell display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Snapdragon 450 just like the Xiaomi Redmi 5. The phone comes in 2GB, 3GB and 4GB RAM variants with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of built-in storage respectively.

Irrespective of the variant you settle for, the phone has support for storage expansion via a hybrid dual SIM slot.

ZTE has equipped the Blade V9 with dual rear cameras. One is a 16MP autofocus sensor with an F/1.8 aperture and a 6P lens and the other is a 5MP fixed focus sensor.

Both sensors are positioned in the top left corner of the phone with a LED flash beside them and are slightly raised. Below the camera setup, sits a fingerprint scanner. For selfies, there is a 13MP camera.

The Blade V9 runs Android Oreo out of the box. It has a 3.5mm audio jack at the top and a micro USB port at the bottom to recharge it’s 3200mAh battery. The phone weighs 140g and measures 151.4 x 70.6 x 7.5 mm.

ZTE Blade V9 Price and Availability

The Blade V9 comes in gold and black color variants. There is no info on pricing and availability at the moment as the phone doesn’t seem to have been officially unveiled yet.

We presume it will be officially announced in January, most likely during CES like its predecessor, the Blade V8. We also expect to see its siblings the V9 Pro, V9 Lite, and V9 Mini get announced in the coming months.
