<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung-india/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung India </a>has apparently seen three of its public policy executives quit in India within a single week. The news arrives from sources close to the matter, so here are all the details regarding this matter.</p>

<p>The sources told Reuters that the South Korean tech giant has seen three of its executives quit that were a part of its public policy team. However, this news also comes as Samsung is facing regulatory issues in the Indian market. For those unaware, a public policy team play an integral role in tech companies since they help the firms to balance local regulation issues in any given nation. As of right now, Narendra Modi&#8217;s government (Indian Prime Minister) is pushing for domestic electronics manufacturing.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdobeStock_296384873_Editorial_Use_Only-scaled-e1650031472840-1024x683.jpeg?x44794" alt="Samsung" class="wp-image-529396" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdobeStock_296384873_Editorial_Use_Only-scaled-e1650031472840-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdobeStock_296384873_Editorial_Use_Only-scaled-e1650031472840-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdobeStock_296384873_Editorial_Use_Only-scaled-e1650031472840-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdobeStock_296384873_Editorial_Use_Only-scaled-e1650031472840-696x464.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdobeStock_296384873_Editorial_Use_Only-scaled-e1650031472840-1068x712.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdobeStock_296384873_Editorial_Use_Only-scaled-e1650031472840-630x420.jpeg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdobeStock_296384873_Editorial_Use_Only-scaled-e1650031472840.jpeg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Furthermore, they have also been implementing stricter regulations on tech giants that operate within the country. As per sources close to the matter, Binu George that worked with the company&#8217;s corporate affairs and strategy, Surabhi Pant who worked with policy and public affairs, and Nikhil Kaura from the same team have resigned from Samsung within the last week. The three were a part of a seven member team that is headed by Aggarwal, who is a former bureaucrat that joined the company back in December.</p>

<p>He had previously also led public policy at Meta and Uber in India. These three executives have yet to respond to Reuters&#8217; request for a comment. Similarly, Samsung has also decline to respond to this matter as well. The reason for the three execs quitting is still unclear, but it adds to the challenge that Samsung is facing in the region.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Susan-Wojcicki-1024x683.jpeg?x44794" alt="YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki" class="wp-image-516050" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Susan-Wojcicki-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Susan-Wojcicki-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Susan-Wojcicki-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Susan-Wojcicki-1536x1024.jpeg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Susan-Wojcicki-696x464.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Susan-Wojcicki-1068x712.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Susan-Wojcicki-630x420.jpeg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Susan-Wojcicki.jpeg 1620w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Susan Wojcicki has been a significant part of Google ever since the company was formed. In the early days of Google, the company was headquartered in Ms. Wojcicki’s garage. Google&#8217;s founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, are her personal friends, and after becoming one of the earliest employees of the company, she climbed the ranks and became responsible for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/youtube">YouTube</a> after its acquisition by Google, making the video platform one of the world&#8217;s largest social media companies.</p>

<p>Neal Mohan, who is YouTube&#8217;s Chief Product Officer, will take over her responsibilities. Interestingly, Mohan will be the Senior Vice-President and Head of YouTube rather than the CEO. He helped to launch YouTube TV, YouTube Music, Premium, and Shorts and has also led the platform&#8217;s trust and safety team.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Talking about Neal Mohan, Wojcicki says, &#8220;with all we’re doing across Shorts, streaming and subscriptions, together with the promises of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/ai">AI</a>, YouTube’s most exciting opportunities are ahead, and Neal is the right person to lead us.&#8221;</p>

<p>Among her earlier roles, she was the first product manager of AdSense and also played a role in the earliest Google Doodles. She encouraged the company to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/acquisition">acquire</a> YouTube and, years later, was leading the platform as its CEO. YouTube has now become an important part of Google and Alphabet, accounting for over 10 percent of the company&#8217;s total revenue last year.</p>

As a part of this, Richard Yu, President of Huawei, has been removed from the position of CEO of Huawei Cloud.</p>
<p>The company has now appointed Zhang Ping as the new CEO for Huawei Cloud. Richard Yu has now been appointed as the CEO of the new Smart Car Solution BU and he will continue to be the CEO of Consumer BG. Additionally, Wang Jun has been appointed as the President of the Smart Car Solution BU.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-324411 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei Logo MWC 2019" width="3000" height="2000" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019.jpg 3000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019-1920x1280.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 3000px) 100vw, 3000px" /></p>
<p>Huawei has been focusing too much on the reshuffle of the executives and has been regularly doing so. At the beginning of this year, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/richard-yu">Richard Yu</a> added several new positions, mostly related to the Cloud business.</p>
<p>The company says that the purpose of the adjustment is to strengthen the synergy between mobile and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/cloud-computing">cloud computing</a> and to further integrate core capabilities, improve internal operational efficiency, strengthen Internet business layout, and promote ecological development.</p>
<p>Last month, Xu Zhijun, the rotating chairman of Huawei, was appointed as the Chairman of Huawei Cloud and at the time, Richard Yu was appointed as the CEO of Huawei Cloud. Now, in this new reshuffle, he has been replaced for the Huawei Cloud unit.</p>
<p>It is said that Richard Yu has completed the part of the resource integration and he now wants to focus on other businesses. Xu Zhijun will continue to be the Chairman of the Cloud BU and use group-level resources to promote and develop cloud business.</p>
<p>Richard Yu will now be focusing more on the Smart Car business along with the Consumer Business. The Chinese tech giant <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/04/14/huawei-invest-1-billion-electric-vehicle-self-driving-tech/">established its Smart Car Solution BU</a> in May 2019 and provides incremental components for smart connected cars such as smart driving, smart dashboard, smart networking, etc.</p>
<p>Xu Zhijun also revealed that Huawei has invested around $1 billion in this business. He adds that even if the company does not engage in foreign markets, average annual revenue of 10,000 yuan per vehicle is sufficient for Huawei.</p>
<p>The company has announced two business strategies for the development of the smart car business. One is to become a supplier of parts and solutions and the other is to focus on creating an ecosystem &#8212; MDC Ecology.</p>

The company recently sent a letter to all of its employees at the signature at the bottom indicates Huang Zhipan as the new CEO, <a href="https://www.sohu.com/a/449321391_116157">reports Sohu</a>.</p>
<p>Huang Zhipan is the younger brother of Huang Zhang, who was the company&#8217;s CEO. Surprisingly, the company has not made any official announcement related to this development and it is not known when this move was made.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-369995 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Meizu-Executive.png?x44794" alt="Meizu Executive" width="600" height="400" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Meizu-Executive.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Meizu-Executive-300x200.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p>Nonetheless, the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer at Meizu confirms that the company is looking for a new direction as it struggles to maintain its position in the highly-competitive smartphone market.</p>
<p>The company had recently issued a press statement which claims that it achieved sustained profitability with the two phones it launched last year &#8212; <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/meizu-17/">Meizu 17</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/meizu-17-pro/">Meizu 17 Pro</a>. This indicates that Meizu is planning to stick to its current strategy of launching premium flagship-grade smartphones in the market.</p>
<p>A couple of years ago, Li Nan, co-founder and Vice President of Meizu had resigned from the company, saying he would focus on the consumer market and developing new brands. Last year, in August, he <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/06/meizu-founder-li-nan-angry-miao/">officially launched his new company</a> named Numiao Technology aka Angry Miao Technology.</p>
