We have praised Samsung enough for its swift Android 11 update rollout plan. It has already rolled out the updates to several tablets, flagship, and mid-range devices. Now, the Galaxy A60, which launched in China back in April 2019, is getting the Android 11 update.

The Samsung Galaxy A60 is getting a new update with firmware version A6060ZCU3CUD3. This brings the Android 11 and March 2021 security patch to the device.

If you recall, the Samsung Galaxy A60 launched with Android 9 Pie OS out of the box. This makes it the second major Android upgrade for the device. We aren’t sure if it would get another major Andriod upgrade but we can expect Quarterly security patches for another two years.

Coming back, as the Sammobile report says, we aren’t sure if the underlying UI is One UI 3.0 or 3.1. The update hasn’t yet reflected on the Samsung official updates page too. That said, the Android 11 update will bring features as auto permissions reset, chat bubbles, conversations section in the notifications area, one-time permissions, and more.

Since the device is moving up from older One UI on Android 10 to the latest version, expect few UI changes like improving stock apps, more dynamic lock screen and AOD widgets, improvements to Digital Wellbeing, and more.

Just last week, Samsung released a new color variant for the Galaxy A60. Now it has announced another color bringing the total number of color options to five.

The new “Peach Fog” color variant is a mix of red and white and it is an attractive piece of work. Its two-color finish spills to the top and bottom edges where the former is red and the latter is white.

It is already listed on Jingdong.com and will go on sale tomorrow at 10 AM (local China time). The Peach Fog color variant will only be available in the 6GB RAM + 128GB configuration just like the orange variant, and will sell for ¥1999 (~$290).

The Samsung Galaxy A60 is a mid-range phone powered by the Snapdragon 675 processor. It has a 6.3-inch Infinity-O display, 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of expandable storage.

There is a 16MP camera in front for selfies and video calls, while a 32MP + 8MP + 5MP triple camera setup sits on its back along with a fingerprint scanner. The Galaxy A60 runs One UI based on Android Pie and has a 3500mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging.

Samsung has taken the wraps off a new color variant for the Galaxy A60. The new color which is called Peach Sea Salt is a mix of blue and pink and is absolutely gorgeous.

Samsung first teased the new color variant yesterday but has now officially announced it. It is also available right away for purchase on Jingdong.com.

The new Galaxy A60 Peach Sea Salt comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and is priced at ¥1499 (~$219). The other color variants are priced at ¥1489 (~$217).

The Samsung Galaxy A60 has an FHD+ punch hole display, a Snapdragon 675 processor, 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of expandable storage. It has triple rear cameras- a 32MP main sensor, an 8MP 123° ultra-wide angle camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. There is a 16MP camera in front for selfies. It also has NFC, dual-SIM support, Bixby, Assistant, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3500mAh battery.

Last April, Samsung launched the Galaxy A60 in China. Last week, it launched in India as the Galaxy M40. The phone originally comes in three color variants – Orange (128GB version only), Blue, and Black but Samsung will be adding a fourth soon called Peach Sea Salt.

The new Peach Sea Salt Galaxy A60 is similar to the Pink-Blue Galaxy A8s FE but with the colors reversed. The announcement was made by the official Samsung China Weibo account yesterday. However, it wasn’t revealed when the new color variant will be available.

The Galaxy A60 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ punch hole display. It has a Snapdragon 675 processor, 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage. On its rear are a fingerprint scanner, a 32MP primary camera, an 8MP super-wide angle camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. The camera inside the punch hole is a 16MP sensor. It doesn’t have a traditional earpiece, so it uses Samsung’s Screen Sound technology.

The rest of the specs includes a 3500mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging, Android Pie with One UI on top, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

Samsung is intent on reclaiming its lost market share in the Chinese market ad one series it is using to achieve that is the rebranded Galaxy A series. Just last week, Samsung announced the Galaxy A60 and A40s in China. Pre-orders for the models have now gone live on Samsung China’s official website. The Galaxy A60 pre-order will end on May 10 while the A40s’ will end on May 5 when sales will commence. As a recap, the Galaxy A60 packs a 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD display with a punch hole housing a 32MP selfie camera. The punch-hole design gifts the A60 a screen-to-body ratio of 92%. The punch hole as a diameter of 4.8mm and so is smaller than those of the Honor View 20 and Galaxy A8s. The phone also ditches the design of a traditional speaker at the top for sound-on-display technology just like the Galaxy A80.

On the camera end, Samsung Galaxy A60 has triple rear cameras – a 32MP primary camera, an 8MP super wide-angle camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. It is powered by the Snapdragon 675 processor and has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone gets its juice from a generous 3,500mAh battery. One outstanding feature is the presence of NFC. The device equally packs a fingerprint scanner. The A60 is priced at ¥1999 ($299).

On the other hand, the Galaxy A40s is basically a rebranded Galaxy M30 which was launched in India not too long ago. The device packs a 6.4-inch FHD+ Infinity U display. The notch houses a 16MP selfie camera. The phone is powered by the 14nm Exynos 7904 processor and it is paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The A40s comes with triple rear cameras – a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP super wide-angle camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. The phone also packs a huge 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. As for the pricing, the Galaxy A40s has a price tag of ¥1499 (~$224). You’ll agree the prices of the phones are spot on, putting them in positions to wrestle some of the market shares from competitors.

Samsung has announced new Galaxy A smartphones in China today. The lineup includes the Galaxy A40s, the Galaxy A60 with a punch hole display, the Galaxy A70, and the Galaxy A80 which has triple rotating cameras.

Galaxy A40s

The Galaxy A40s, which is actually a rebranded Galaxy M30 for China, has a 6.4-inch FHD+ Infinity U display. The notch houses a 16MP selfie camera. The phone is powered by the 14nm Exynos 7904 processor and it is paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

The A40s comes with triple rear cameras – a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP super wide-angle camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. The phone also packs a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging and a fingerprint scanner on the back.

The Galaxy A40s will sell for ¥1499 (~$224).

Galaxy A60

The Galaxy A60 is also official now. Apparently, the images from this morning was from the event. The phone has a 6.7-inch FHD+ punch hole LCD (not AMOLED) display with a 32MP selfie camera. Samsung says the phone has a screen-to-body ratio of 92% and the punch hole is smaller at 4.8mm than that of the Honor View 20 and Galaxy A8s. It also ditches the traditional speaker at the top for sound-on-display technology just like the Galaxy A80.

The Galaxy A60 (SM-A6060) was seen on TENAA ahead of Samsung’s April 10 event and was expected to be launched at the event in China but it didn’t. There is still no info about its release but a new leak has revealed live images of the phone alongside a few of its specs.

The Galaxy A60 will be joining the Galaxy A8s as part of Samsung‘s lineup with a punch hole Ininfity-O display. The hole is in the top left corner and is home to a 32MP sensor. The TENAA listing already revealed it is a 6.3-inch FHD+ display.

The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 675 processor just like the Galaxy A70 and it has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. TENAA says there is also an 8GB RAM version and a 64GB storage variant.

The leak also shows us the rear of the Galaxy A60 which is home to three cameras. The cameras (16MP + 8MP + 5MP) sensors are arranged vertically with an LED flash below the sensors and a fingerprint scanner in the middle. The color variant in the image appears to be a mix of blue, green, and yellow.

Samsung China has confirmed through Weibo that it will be holding a global launch event on April 10. Since yesterday, it has released two teasers for the upcoming unveil event. However, none of them have revealed the names of the devices that will go official on Wednesday. At the end of the previous month, the SM-A6060 and SM-A7050 smartphones were approved by China’s TENAA telecom authority. These phones are expected to go official as Galaxy A60 and Galaxy A70.

Samsung Galaxy A70 Specifications and Price

The Galaxy A70 has recently launched in South Korea. While the entire specs of the phone have been confirmed by the company, it is yet to reveal the pricing of the phone for the home market. The A70 smartphone is equipped with a massive 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Infinity-U notch. The display produces full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The Snapdragon 670 powers the 6 GB and 8 GB RAM variants of the phone. Both models are equipped with 128 GB of storage.

It comes with a 32-mgeapixel front-facing camera. Placed on its rear is a triple camera module that features a 32-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The device is packed with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. It also features an in-display fingerprint reader.

According to tipster Ishan Agarwal, the Galaxy A70 variants such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage will be respectively priced at 2,999 Yuan (~$446) and 3,299 Yuan (~$491) in China. He has also claimed that the phone will carry similar pricing in India and other Asian nations. TENAA has revealed that China will be receiving the handset in colors like Black, Blue, Orange and White.

Samsung Galaxy A60 Specifications

Samsung is yet to announce the Galaxy A60 in any market. Its TENAA certifications suggests that it will go official first in China on April 10. A leaked information that had surfaced at the beginning of the year had claimed that the Galaxy A60 will be arriving as a lighter version of the punch-hole display enabled Galaxy A8s that was announce in China in December 2018. The TENAA images have revealed that the Galaxy A60 is indeed equipped with a punch-hole screen.

According to TENAA, the Galaxy A60 features a 6.3-inch AMOLED display that offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. It is packed with a 3,410mAh minimum capacity battery. An octa-core processor working at 2.0 GHz and 6 GB of RAM will be fueling the smartphone. It will include an inbuilt storage of 128 GB. It is fitted with a rear-facing fingerprint reader.

There is a 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 5-megapixel triple camera setup on its rear. On its front is a 32-megapixel selfie snapper. It will be releasing in colors like Black, Blue and Orange.

An octa-core processor with a set of CPU cores working at 2.0 GHz and the remaining cores clocking at 1.7 GHz powers the Galaxy A60. The device could be featuring an Exynos chipset. The 64 GB edition of the phone features 6 GB of RAM whereas the 128 GB variant has 8 GB of RAM. The Android 9 Pie OS comes loaded on the device. The device is equipped with an external storage slot.

The Samsung Galaxy A60 is equipped with a 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 5-megapixel triple camera module. The frontside of the phone features a 32-megapixel camera. The other features that are available on the device include a rear-mounted fingerprint reader and fast charging technology. The upcoming Samsung phones with model numbers SM-A7050 and SM-A6060 have received approval from TENAA telecom authority of China. These phones are expected to release in China as Galaxy A70 and Galaxy A60. The TENAA listings of these phones have only revealed information on their display size, dimensions and battery capacity. The A60 phone has also been approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S.

The Galaxy A70 TENAA listing has revealed that it is fitted with a massive display of 6.7 inches with waterdrop notch. The Galaxy S10 5G edition smartphone is also equipped with the same sized display. There is no rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on the device since it is fitted with an in-screen fingerprint reader.

The rear shell of the phone that seems to be made out of glass is fitted with a triple camera module along with a LED flash. Through the TENAA certification of the Galaxy A70 has revealed that its dimensions are 164.2 x 76.7 x 7.9 mm. It is packed with a 4,400mAh battery. In the recent past, the Galaxy A70 smartphone have also bagged from Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi certifications.

The Galaxy A60 seems to be equipped with a glossy plastic rear. An oblong shaped fingerprint scanner and an LED equipped with triple camera setup can be found on the back panel of the smartphone.

The smartphone is fitted with a 6.3-inch display which sports a punch-hole at the top-left corner like the Galaxy A8 from last year. The handset receives power from 3,410mAh battery. The device measures 155.2 x 73.9 x 7.9mm. The FCC certification of the phone has also revealed that its display measures 162.1mm which equates to 6.38 inches. Through FCC it has been found that the phone carries support for 15W fast charging, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and ANT+.

The Galaxy A10, A30 and A50 smartphones that have launched recently are all powered by Samsung’s Exynos chipset. The Galaxy A60 is rumored to be fueled by Snapdragon 675 SoC. The new leak states that the phone will be packed with a 4,500mAh battery and it will be available in 6 GB and 8 GB RAM variants. Both models are expected to include 128 GB of native storage.

The above specs are quite good for Galaxy A60 upper mid-range phone, but it would have been better it came with a glass or metallic rear. There is no information on the pricing of the Galaxy A60. The Snapdragon 675 powered Redmi Note 7 Pro with impressive 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 has a fabulous price tag of Rs. 13,999 (~$199). Being an upper mid-range phone, the Galaxy A60 has better specs than the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The Galaxy A50 has been introduced with a price tag of Rs. 19,990 (~$285) in India. Hence, the Galaxy A60 may cost under Rs. 30,000 (~$452).

The Snapdragon 6150 mentioned in the leaked document is the Snapdragon 675 SoC that powers the likes the Redmi Note 7 Pro and Vivo V15 Pro smartphones. The SD675 chip on the Galaxy A60 will be supported by 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM. It will be featuring an internal storage of 128 GB.

The back panel of the Galaxy A60 will be equipped with a triple camera setup that will include a 32-megapixel primary camera with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor followed by a 5-megapixel third sensor. The selfie notch houses a 32-megapixel camera. The phone is packed with a massive battery of 4,500mAh capacity. The Galaxy A50 comes with support for 15W fast charging. Hence, the Galaxy A60 may also come with the same fast charging technology. The One UI based Android 9.0 Pie OS will come preloaded on the Galaxy A60.

The leak also reveals that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy A60 smartphone on April 19 which corroborates with the previous leak that had claimed that it will be announced in April. However, Samsung will be using optical type of in-screen fingerprint readers on the upcoming Galaxy A phones while the more accurate ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor is reserved for the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus that are scheduled to go official on Feb. 20. The other upcoming phones from the Galaxy A series will have some other attractive features such as triple or dual rear camera or ToF (Time of Flight) cameras.
