If you live in India and you need a 5G all-rounder, you have an ocean of choices. One of the last is the amazing Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G, but there are also several important phones released last year with amazing specifications. My favorite design and the most attractive one is the Realme X7. Despite it is not built with premium materials, it almost looks like so. It is way thinner than its two rivals with a thickness of just 8.1 mm and it is even lightweight as it weighs just 175 grams. The Motorola Moto G 5G is very thick and heavy compared to other phones, so it is a less comfortable option when it comes to one-handed use and so. Realme Narzo 30 Pro sits in the middle: it is still pretty thick and heavy since it houses a big battery, but not excessively.

Display

Do you need a superior display? Choose the Realme X7 5G and you won’t regret it. The Realme X7 5G is the only one to come with an AMOLED display, so it is able to show brighter colors and deeper blacks. Further, it has an in-display fingerprint reader. The Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G has an IPS panel but it is still very interesting, especially for gamers, because it has a 120 Hz refresh rate. Unfortunately, Motorola Moto G 5G lacks both a high refresh rate and an AMOLED panel, but it has HDR10 technology improving the image quality. However, it can not compete with the Realme X7 5G.

Specs & Software

The best devices in terms of hardware are Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G and Realme X7 5G which pack a Dimensity 800U chipset, up to 8 GB of RAM, and up to 128 GB of UFS 2.1 native storage. The Snapdragon 750G found on the Motorola Moto G 5G is at the same level as the Dimensity 800U (even slightly better, in my opinion), but the phone offers up to 6 GB of RAM, and having 2 gigs more is definitely better. Unfortunately, all of these phones ship with Android 10 out of the box, but they will be updated to Android 11.

Camera

The most advanced cameras belong to the Realme X7 5G. It has a superior 64 MP main camera paired with an 8 MP ultrawide sensor, a 2 MP camera for macros, and a 2 MP dedicated depth sensor. Besides a better main camera, the Realme X7 5G also packs a better front camera with a 32 MP resolution.

Battery

Realme X7 5G wins everywhere except when it comes to the battery life: Motorola Moto G 5G and Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G have bigger 5000 mAh batteries and they beat their higher-end rival. On the other hand, Realme X7 5G supports faster charging with a power of 65W.

Price

You can actually find Realme Narzo 30 Pro with an Rs. 15,999 / $215 starting price, Moto G 5G retails for Rs. 20,999 / $283, and Realme X7 5G costs Rs. 19,999 / $270. If we exclude the battery, Realme X7 5G is the best phone, while the Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G has the highest value for money.

The Moto G 5G has a more beautiful design than the Moto G50 5G. Despite it is actually an older handset, it looks more modern thanks to its punch-hole display. Further, I like its square-shaped camera module. On the other hand, the Moto G50 5G has a more compact body, and, unlike the Moto G 5G, it has a water repellent design. Both the phones feature a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, they are made of polycarbonate and they are pretty thick and heavy due to their bigger batteries.

Display

The display of the Motorola Moto G 5G is actually superior to the Moto G50 5G. It has a higher Full HD+ resolution, so it is able to provide a higher level of definition. Further, the HDR10 certification should give you a better image quality on streaming platforms. With the Motorola Moto G50 5G you get a 90 Hz refresh rate, but unfortunately, the display has a lower HD+ resolution. The Moto G 5G also comes with a wider panel: the diagonal is 6.7 inches with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Both the phones have IPS panels, so do not expect an OLED-like quality.

Specs & Software

If you need the most powerful device, go for the Motorola Moto G 5G without thinking twice. It is powered by the Snapdragon 750G mobile platform that is an upper-midrange 5G processor. The SoC is paired with up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of native storage. With the Moto G50, you get an entry-level Snapdragon 480 5G mobile platform paired with 4 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage. Motorola Moto G 5G ships with Android 10 out of the box, while Moto G50 5G ships with Android 11: this means you will most likely get longer software support with the Moto G50 5G.

Camera

The Motorola Moto G 5G and the Moto G50 5G pack the same 48 MP main camera with an f/1.7 focal aperture. But the Motorola Moto G 5G is a better camera phone because it has an 8 MP ultrawide lens besides its 2 MP macro camera. The secondary sensors of the Motorola Moto G50 5G are a 5 MP macro camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. The Moto G 5G is also equipped with a better 16 MP front camera which can record 1080p HDR videos.

Motorola Moto G 5G and Motorola Moto G50 5G have exactly the same battery capacity: 5000 mAh. They are pretty good battery phones and the best is the Moto G50 5G because it has more efficient components: thanks to the HD+ resolution and a smaller panel, it should last more on a single charge. With the Moto G 5G, you get a faster charging technology thanks to a power of 20W.

Price

The Motorola Moto G 5G is actually available in the global market with street prices of about €200/$242. Actually, you have to spend more than €200 to grab a unit of the Moto G50 5G as it has been launched recently with a listing price of €279/$338. The Moto G 5G has better specifications, including a Full HD+ HDR10 display, an ultrawide camera, and a better chipset paired with more RAM in the most expensive configuration. That is why Moto G 5G wins the value for money comparison. The only real disadvantage of the Moto G 5G is the fact that it ships with Android 10 out of the box as it is a phone released in 2020.

The Moto G50 was one of the two Motorola phones announced today. Motorola says that the phone will go on sale next month with a starting price of €249.99. Right now, Motorola is running a promo on its phones, and the offer on the Moto G 5G makes it a better buy than the Moto G50.

The Moto G 5G was announced last November as a more affordable version of the Moto G 5G Plus. It had a starting price of €299.99 for the 4+64GB version while the 6+128GB version had a launch price of €349.99. Motorola is currently running a limited-time sales promotion that brings the price of the base model down to €249 in Spain. This is the same price the 4+64GB version of the newly launched Moto G50 will sell for when it goes on sale on April 15, and if you ask us, the Moto G 5G seems to be the better deal.

The Moto G 5G may not have a high refresh rate but it has an FHD+ display which is better than the HD+ screen of the Moto G50. It also has a more powerful processor.

Another area where it is better than the Moto G50 is the camera department. Both phones have the same primary camera but you will agree that an ultrawide angle camera is more useful than a macro camera which the Moto G 5G also has.

Both the Moto G 5G and the Moto G50 have a 5000mAh battery but the former supports a faster charging technology and comes with the maximum supported charger. The Moto G50 supports a slower 15W fast charging and comes with an even slower 10W charger. This means that if you want to charge your phone at the maximum supported rating, you will have to purchase a new charger.

The only downside for the Moto G 5G is that it runs Android 10. Motorola has confirmed that it will be updated to Android 11 but we don’t know when it will begin to roll out.

Between Jan. 20 and Jan. 24, Flipkart will be carrying out the Big Saving Days sale. As usual, the retailer giant will be offering attractive discounts on smartphones during the 4-day sale. The Moto G 5G will be one of the phones that the buyer would like to purchase during the sale as it will be available with a discount of Rs 2,000.

The Moto G 5G went official in India with a price tag of Rs 20,999. It arrived as India’s first Snapdragon 750G powered handset. While 5G networks are yet to begin in India, the Moto G 5G has been selling as the cheapest 5G smartphone in the country. The landing page of Flipkart’s Big Savings Day sale mentions that the Moto G 5G will be available for Rs 18,999. It means that the phone will be selling with a price cut of Rs 2,000 during the sale.

Moreover, customers will be able to take advantage of a 10 percent instant discount on HDFC Bank cards and EMI transactions on smartphones during the Big Savings Day sale. While the sale stats on Jan. 20, Flipkart Plus members will have early access to the sale starting from 12 AM on Jan. 19.

The Moto G 5G has an IP52-rated splash-resistant body and a 6.7-inch IPS LTPS LCD screen that offers Full HD+ resolution. It has a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and its rear-mounted quad-camera module has a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with 118-degree FOV, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.

The moto G 5G carries support 20W charging for its 5,000mAh battery. It comes with 6 GB of LPPDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. It runs on Android 10 OS and has a shared SIM slot for more storage.

Besides providing more vibrant colors and deeper blacks thanks to its OLED display, it even comes with the HDR10+ certification allowing for better image quality on streaming platforms. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G lacks an OLED display, but it has a higher 90 Hz refresh rate which is useful for gamers and provides a smoother viewing experience. Motorola Moto G 5G has a pretty nice LTPS panel with the HDR10 certification, but it has a standard refresh rate. Note that Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G is also the only one with an in-display fingerprint scanner, as mentioned above.

Hardware/Software

If you need the most advanced hardware, choose the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite. It is powered by a more powerful Snapdragon 765G chipset paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. Right after, there is Motorola Moto G 5G with a Snapdragon 750G and a 6/128 GB configuration in the most expensive variant. You get the same memory configuration with the OnePlus Nord N10 5G, but the chipset is the Snapdragon 690 5G which actually comes with an inferior GPU. OnePlus Nord N10 5G and Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G have a customized user interface based on Android 10, while Motorola Moto G 5G is close to stock Android.

Camera

The most advanced camera department is the one provided by the OnePlus Nord N10 5G, equipped with a 64 MP quad-camera on the rear side. The second place goes to the Motorola Moto G 5G which comes with a 48 MP main sensor boasting a bright f/1.7 focal aperture. In each case, we are talking about midrange camera phones.

The battery king is the Motorola Moto G 5G with a huge 5000 mAh battery providing a full-day battery life even with intensive usage. With the OnePlus Nord N10 5G you get the fastest charging technology thanks to 30W power.

In 2019, Motorola launch a wide range of smartphones in various markets. By launching the Motorola Edge and Edge+ also returned to launch flagship phones this year. Today, the company confirmed the names of the smartphones that are eligible to receive the Android 11 OS upgrade.

Among the various phones last year by Motorola, the Android 11 OS update will be only made available to the Motorola Razr (2019), Motorola One Action, Motorola One Vision, and Motorola One Hyper. The list does not include phones like the Moto G7 series, Moto G8 Plus, G8 Play, E6 series, Z4, and One Zoom.

Among the phones launched this year, the Motorola Razr 5G, Motorola Edge, Motorola Edge+, Motorola One 5G, Motorola One Fusion, Motorola One Fusion+, Moto G8, Moto G8 Power, Moto G 5G, Moto G 5G Plus, Moto G Fast, Moto G Power, Moto G Pro, Moto G Stylus, Moto G9, Moto G9 Play, Moto G9 Plus, and Moto G9 Power are mentioned in the list of devices that will be treated with Android 11 OS update. The only Lenovo-branded phone on the list is the Lenovo K12 Note that debuted in the recent past in Saudi Arabia.

Lenovo did not confirm when it will begin rolling out the Android 11 OS update. Probably, the flagship and upper mid-range phones could be the first phones that will be updated to the newest version of Android. In order to establish if it is among the best 5G alternatives of the moment for those who have a low budget, we decided to compare it to the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G and the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus.

Design

A great affordable phone in terms of design is the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. It is not the most compact phone of the trio, but it has a glass back protected by Gorilla Glass 5, so you actually get a better build quality. Further, it is one of the few budget phones with the IP53 certification which guarantees dust resistance and protection against splashes, besides a water-repellent coating. The Motorola Moto G 5G Plus is water-repellent too, but unfortunately, it does not offer premium materials. But the ZTE Blade 20 Pro 5G is my favorite one because of its curved display, compact body, thin and lightweight design.

Display

If you want the best image quality, go for the ZTE Blade 20 Pro 5G without thinking twice. Unfortunately, it does not have a high refresh rate, but it is the only one offering an AMOLED panel. This curved display has very good colors and high visibility. Further, it has an in-display fingerprint scanner. If we exclude the ZTE Blade 20 Pro 5G, the best one is the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G providing a high 120 Hz refresh rate and the HDR10 certification. The Moto G 5G Plus has a 90 Hz IPS display with HDR10, still a good alternative. An important thing to consider is the fact that Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G has stereo speakers and provides a better audio experience.

Hardware/Software

The ZTE Blade 20 Pro 5G has the most powerful SoC: we are talking about the Snapdragon 765G running at a 2.4 GHz frequency and paired with 8 GB of RAM. Right after, we got the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus with the vanilla Snapdragon 765: it is almost identical to the Snapdragon 765G, but the GPU is weaker (the G stands for gaming). The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is slightly inferior as it sports a Snapdragon 750G chipset, but it has a great UFS 2.2 internal storage which can actually be faster than UFS 2.1 found on its two rivals. The whole trio of phones is based on Android 10.

Camera

The most advanced camera phone here is the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G because it sports a better main camera. We are referring to a 108 MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture providing a better photo quality. The Moto G 5G Plus offers better front cameras: you get a dual snapper with a 16 MP main camera and an additional 8 MP ultrawide sensor. The ZTE Blade 20 Pro 5G has better rear cameras than Motorola Moto G 5G Plus, but it is inferior if compared to the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G.

Battery

The longest battery life is offered by the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus because it has a bigger 5000 mAh battery. But the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is still an awesome battery phone since it sports a 4820 mAh battery. Further, it charges faster thanks to its 33W power. Unfortunately, you get just 4000 mAh and an average battery life with the ZTE Blade 20 Pro 5G: it is not the best option for you if you are looking for a battery phone.

Price

ZTE still did not reveal the price and the availability of the Blade 20 Pro 5G. Design

Unfortunately, none of these devices offers a premium design. In each case, you get a plastic body. But the Realme 7 5G is actually more attractive because it has a better look, more compact dimensions, and a thinner design, as well as a lighter body. It is not so compact if we compare it to the Redmi Note 9 5G, but there is a marginal difference. Hardware/Software

The best chipset belongs to the Motorola Moto G 5G: we are talking about the Snapdragon 750G mobile platform running at a 2.2 GHz frequency. But the Motorola Moto G 5G does not win the hardware comparison. The Realme 7 5G is equipped with a Dimensity 800U chipset which is slightly inferior to the Snapdragon 750G, but it packs more RAM: up to 8 GB. The Redmi Note 9 5G has the same hardware setup as the Realme 7 5G, but it comes in a version with 256 GB of native storage, while you get a max of 128 GB with the Realme 7 5G. All the handsets run Android 10 out of the box.

Camera

The Realme 7 5G has more rear cameras: it features an additional 2 MP sensor for macros. But the Motorola Moto G 5G has a brighter focal aperture for its main sensor (f/1.7). This may result in better photos with low light conditions. A better main sensor counts more than a secondary camera sensor, for overall photo quality. But it depends on your needs. The Redmi Note 9 5G loses the camera comparison.

Battery

The battery capacity of Redmi Note 9 5G, Motorola Moto G 5G, and Realme 7 5G is exactly the same: 5000 mAh. Their battery life is similar unless you use the 120 Hz refresh rate on the Realme 7 5G. The Realme 7 5G features a faster charging technology with 30W power.

Price

Redmi Note 9 5G is priced at about €204/$243 in China, Realme 7 5G starts from €229/$273 globally, and Moto G 5G costs about €200/$238 in India. Despite the great camera and display of the Motorola Moto G 5G, my choice would be the Realme 7 5G mainly due to its higher refresh rate, followed by the faster charging technology. But there are just marginal differences between the specifications of these devices, so it is also a matter of taste.

Today, Motorola unveiled the Moto G 5G as its first 5G-ready phone for India. It is also the first phone to arrive in the country with Snapdragon 750G SoC. The phone offers users other exciting features such as a big-sized screen, a 48-megapixel triple camera system, a decent selfie camera, and a huge battery that is coupled with rapid charging technology.

Moto G 5G specifications and features

The Motorola Moto G 5G features an IP52 rated splash-resistant chassis that safeguards it from spills and splashes. The polycarbonate-bodied smartphone measures 166.1 x 76.1 x 9.9mm and it weighs 212 grams. The handset is fitted with a big display of 6.7 inches. The Max Vision screen is an IPS LTPS LCD panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and HDR10 support. The Lenovo-owned firm claims that the phone offers a screen-to-body ratio of 85 percent. As far as display design is concerned, it has a small hole for the selfie camera at the top-center.

The Moto G 5G has a 16-megapixel front-facing with f/2.2 aperture. The rear side of the phone has a square-shaped camera housing. It comprises a 48-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel superwide lens with 118-degree FOV, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and an LED flash. The rear cameras offer supports photography features such as Night Vision, shot optimization, portrait mode, HDR, cinemagraph, Google Lens, EIS, timelapse video, hyper-lapse video, slow-motion video shooting, and 30fps 4K video recording.

Motorola India has just confirmed the launch date of its upcoming 5G smartphone in India. The Moto G 5G is a mid range handset that supports the newer and faster bandwidth and will launch of 30th November 2020.

Earlier today (26th November 2020), the company shared a tweet on Twitter, which revealed the launch date of the smartphone and more. The device will be available from 12pm IST and will be available from Flipkart, a popular Indian e-retailing website that operates similar to Amazon. For those unaware, India has yet to adopt 5G networking at the moment and is planning to hold trials in certain regions soon. Despite this, a few 5G enabled devices have already been launched in the country, but the OnePlus Nord is one of the few in the mid range segment so far.

Now, the Moto G 5G will arrive in similar price tag and will compete with the Chinese brand with its own mid range 5G enabled smartphone. At present the OnePlus Nord is the cheapest 5G smartphone in India, but the Moto G 5G could undercut it by a slight margin. While the exact pricing details are currently unknown, it is being speculated that the device will be priced around 24,999 INR (roughly 338 US Dollars). Notably, the device sports a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor over the Snapdragon 765G on the Nord.

Other specifications include a quad camera setup on the rear, comprising of a 48 megapixel primary lens paired with an 8 megapixel secondary sensor and two additional 2 megapixel lenses as well. The selfie shooter is a 16 megapixel camera that is housed in a punch hole format in the top middle of the 6.7 inch FHD+ IPS LCD display. The tipster did not share any other information about the upcoming Motorola G-series phones for India. In Europe, the Moto G9 Power with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage arrived with a price tag of 199 euros (~Rs 17,450). On the other side, the Moto G 5G’s two variants like 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage landed in Europe with respective price tags of 299 euros (~$354; ~Rs 26,200) and 349 euros (~$413; ~Rs 30,600).

The Snapdragon 750G found on the Moto G 5G is a slightly better processor than the MediaTek Dimensity 800U found on the Realme 7 5G. However, in order to get similar performance to the Realme 7 5G, you should go for the most expensive variant of the Motorola Moto G 5G featuring 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, because the base variant is just 4/64 GB. With the Realme 7 5G you get min 6/128 GB and up to 8 GB of RAM. The OPPO A73 5G is inferior to both with its Dimensity 720.

Camera

The most complete camera department belongs to the Realme 7 5G featuring a 48 MP quad camera including an ultrawide sensor and a pair of 2 MP sensors for macro and depth calculation. But despite it has just three sensors, in various scenarios the Moto G 5G may shoot better photos thanks to its brighter focal aperture. Unfortunately, the OPPO A73 5G is not a great device as a camera phone. You get a below-average 16 MP triple camera.

Battery

Both Realme 7 5G and Moto G 5G offer a big 5000 mAh battery, but the Moto G 5G should last more in most of the scenarios because it lacks a high refresh rate. On the other hand, the Realme 7 5G charges faster thanks to its 30W fast charging technology which is able to charge the handset from 0 to 50 percent in just 26 minutes (100 percent in 65 minutes). The OPPO A73 5G is thinner and more compact, but it has a smaller 4040 mAh battery which can not compete with Realme 7 5G and Motorola Moto G 5G.

Price

If you want a unit of the OPPO A73 5G or the Moto G 5G, you need €300/$355 (listing price). The Realme 7 5G starts from €279 but it is available for €229/$270 for a few days thanks to the launch promo. If you find it for €229, go for the Realme 7 5G without thinking twice. Otherwise, Moto G 5G may be a slightly better handset for your needs.

Although 5G smartphones are a thing in countries like India, they are still equal/more than the breaking point of 25,000($337.22). However, that could change any moment now as Motorola is likely to launch a mid-range 5G smartphone jumping budget kings like Xiaomi and realme in the country.

As usual, the latest tip comes from Mukul Sharma. He said that Motorola will launch a new phone very soon in India. A while later, he tweeted “G GGGGG” indicating that the device could be Moto G 5G from European markets. Additionally, YouTuber Amrelia Ruhez also tweeted that a mid-range smartphone is coming soon and it isn’t from the house of Xiaomi and Realme.

All these suggest that Motorola out of nowhere might jump others. And launch a mid-range 5G smartphone at an affordable price. The reason we think this could happen is because, currently, OnePlus Nord is a mid-range 5G device priced at ₹24,999($337.21). Also, it is the only 5G smartphone that is in that 20-25K range in India.

Of course, we have loads of 5G devices from Xiaomi, realme, Vivo, Oppo, Samsung, Apple but those don’t make the cut into the mid-range segment. Another reason that Moto G 5G could be affordable in India is the price-performance ratio and competition.

We think that Motorola wouldn’t launch it close to European pricing(€299.9/₹26,399) as it can’t stand a chance against OnePlus. This is because Nord at 25K has better specs like AMOLED 90Hz display, Snapdragon 765G, 32MP selfie camera, 30W Warp charging. That said, it’s now left to Moto to either become the frontrunner of affordable 5G devices or launch just another 5G phone at a higher price.

Anyway, Motorola Moto G 5G that launched earlier in Europe features a 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD punch-hole display, Snapdragon 750G 5G SoC, 48MP sensor-equipped triple-camera, 16MP front camera, 5,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging. In Europe, it launched with Android 10 OS out of the box.

Motorola has finally launched the Moto G 5G Smartphone today(November 5). The device starts below 300 euros in Europe. And brings features like 5G, 48MP camera, bigger battery to the table.

Motorola Moto G 5G Price, Availability

The new Motorola Moto G 5G will be available in two variants- 4GB RAM, 64GB storage. And 6GB RAM, 128GB storage. The base variant costs €299.99 while the higher 6GB RAM variant is priced at €349.99.

As for availability, the device will reportedly be ready for sale in European countries like Belgium. And the Netherlands by end of December. Several retailers are expected to begin the pre-orders as early as this month.

Motorola Moto G 5G Specifications

As Expected, the “Motorola Kiev” launched as the Moto G 5G today(via TechRadar) in Europe. The device has a similar rear panel to the higher-priced sibling, Moto G 5G Plus. The latter launched almost four months back at 349 euros. The front, however as a single centered punch-hole display compared to the double punch-hole on the Moto G 5G Plus.

There are power, volume buttons to the right, and a Google Assistant button to the left. The camera array on the rear is a squircle design and also has a Motorola logo that sits inside the fingerprint sensor.

As speculated, the display is a 6.7-inch FHD+(2400x1080p) which is similar to the Plus variant. But it has a lesser 60Hz refresh rate screen. Under the hood, we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC. For cameras, there is a Samsung GM1 48MP main lens, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro lens on the rear, and 16MP front camera. The difference from the Plus variant is that its sibling doesn’t have a second front lens.

All this is backed up by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging. However, the device runs Android 10 and not 11 out of the box.

The Moto G 5G is a new smartphone from Motorola set to launch soon. Specs and images have leaked in the past few days but it appears one major specification has been incorrect.

According to Adam Conway of XDA Developers, the Moto G 5G will not come with a Snapdragon 690 processor as previously reported but the Snapdragon 750G processor. This is the same chipset that powers the Mi 10T Lite and the Galaxy A42 5G.

The info which was revealed on Twitter also includes other specs such as a 60Hz FHD display with a punch hole, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and NFC. The phone will come with a 48MP Samsung GM1 main sensor, an 8MP Samsung S5K4HZ telephoto sensor, and a 2MP OmniVision OV02B10 depth sensor. The 16MP selfie camera is also supplied by OmniVision (OV16A1Q).

A reply to Adam’s tweet by Mishaal Rahman, the Editor-in-Chief of XDA Developers, also adds some other details such as the screen being 6.6-inches in size with a 2400 x 1080 resolution, a 5000mAh battery, a Google Assistant button, and a Verizon version.

There will be four variants of the phone with the following model numbers – XT2113-1, XT2113-2, XT2113-3, and XT2113-5.

There is still no info on when the phone will be announced but when it does it should be more affordable than the Moto G 5G Plus or Moto One 5G as it is known in the US.

Last month, a German publication (TecknikNews) broke news about the existence of a Motorola phone codenamed as Kiev. The same publication revealed yesterday that this phone will break cover as the Motorola Moto G 5G. The name suggests that it will be an inferior version of the Moto G 5G Plus (available as Motorola One 5G in the U.S.) that debuted in July. Equal Leaks telegram channel has shared a live shot of the smartphone to reveal its front design.

The live shot shows that the Moto G 5G aka Kiev has a tall aspect ratio display with top-center selfie camera cutout. The leak claims that the smartphone features an AMOLED HDR display that supports 1080 x 2400 pixels. Previous leaks have claimed that the Kiev is powered by the Snapdragon 690 5G chipset. Strangely, the new leak tells it has Snapdragon 765Gv, which seems to be incorrect.

The leak further states that the device has 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage, and it is packed with a 5,000mAh battery. It has a quad-camera setup that is lead by a 48-megapixel primary lens. The camera leak also contradicts with previous that said that the Kiev phone has a 48-megapixel triple camera system. The leak concludes by saying that the phone will launch globally.

Motorola has a launch event that is scheduled to take place tomorrow at 3 PM CET. It is speculated that the company will be announcing the Moto G 5G and Moto G 5G Plus as its first 5G-ready G-series smartphones. Recently, the XT2075-3 Motorola phone was certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S. It was initially believed that it could be coming to the market as Motorola Edge Lite, but later on it was revealed that it could be coming to the market as Moto G 5G Plus. Some more details of the smartphone have appeared once again through its FCC and TUV Rheinland listings. Also, the handset has appeared on the Geekbench marking platform.

The FCC listing states that the XT2075-3 phone supports 5G, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS and Galileo. The TUV Rheinland listing reveals that the phone is packed with a 5,000mAh battery with 4,700mAh rated capacity. The handset will be coming with support for 20W rapid charging.

There is some confusion regarding the XT2075-3 that said to be codenamed as ‘Nairobi.’ It is speculated that it may even launch as Moto G 5G in the U.S. It may debut in some market as Moto G 5G Plus. Probably, the phone could be launching through Verizon in the U.S. as Motorola Edge Lite.

The Moto G 5G Plus appeared on Geekbench benchmarking platform with an octa-core processor from Qualcomm that has a base frequency of 1.8GHz. The text mentioned in the identifier field suggests that it could be featuring the Snapdragon 765G SoC. The Geekbench 5 listing further reveals that it has 4 GB of RAM and it runs on Android 10 OS. In the single-core test of Geekbench 5, the handset recorded a score of 596. It scored 1872 in the multi-core test.

Rumors surrounding the Moto G 5G Plus have revealed that it has a 90Hz display with two punch-holes. It is said to feature an 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual selfie camera system. The rear side of the phone has a 48-megapixel + 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 5-megapixel quad-camera system.

Yesterday, reputed tipster Evan Blass shared a render of the upcoming Motorola Moto G 5G smartphone. Soon after sharing the renders, the tipster revealed that there could be another device called Moto G 5G Plus. Blass also shared the specs sheet of the Moto G 5G. He revealed that it is the same device that was previously being dubbed a Motorola Edge Lite.

Moto G 5G specifications

The leaked specs sheet reveals that the Moto G 5G measures 167.98 x 73.97 x 9.59mm and it weighs 207 grams. The handset features a 21:9 aspect ratio supporting display. The specs sheet has not mentioned the measurement of the screen, but it stated that it will carry support for Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.

As renders revealed, the Moto G 5G has two punch holes at the top-left corner of the display. According to XDA, the Moto G 5G could be equipped with an 8-megapixel main selfie camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The Snapdragon 765 SoC powers the device along with 4 GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 64 GB. An external storage slot will be available on the phone. It will arrive with Android 10 OS preinstalled. The rear side of the smartphone has a quad-camera setup housed inside a square-shaped module. It comprises of a Samsung GM1 48-megapixel sensor, a 16-megapixel macro lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The Moto G 5G has other features like a side-facing fingerprint reader, a dedicated hardware button for Google Assistant, and a 4,800mAh battery.

It is now being said that the XT2075-3 phone that was recently certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S. could be the Moto G 5G. XDA stated that by running IMEI numbers that it came across in the FCC listing through an IMEI database revealed the “Moto G 5G Plus” moniker.

Previous reports revealed that a variant with model number XT2075-1 also exists. This variant could be heading to the U.S. through Verizon with Motorola Edge Lite moniker. Other markets like Europe, LATAM, the Middle East, and Japan may receive it as Moto G 5G or Moto G 5G Plus. There is a possibility that the Moto G 5G and Moto G5 Plus could be two different handsets.

The Lenovo-owned company recently confirmed that it will be holding an unveil event on July 7. It remains to be seen whether the company announces the Motorola Edge Lite / Moto G 5G phone at the event.
