System

Android upgraded to Android 4.4.4;

Now press the power button to lock the device, and the screen will turn dark;

When you pull down the notification tab when the device is locked, the time that it’s in standby mode will be the same as when it is unlocked to let you browse the notification bar.

After repairing the font, when selecting the medium or large font, list of contacts is incomplete.

Settings

The switches for the light keyboard have increased. Now, if the light keyboard is not used within 5 seconds, it will automatically disappear.

Text messaging

Fetion and foreign numbers are already saved in the contact’s profile which can be classified as individual profiles. Messages without a saved number will be classified as notifications.

System upgrade

If the apps are upgraded when the system is upgraded, then the status bar will change and a message will appear saying whether the upgrade is complete.

Today, at the 2014 CommunicAsia Expo, Meizu introduced the MX3 Ubuntu edition.

According to Meizu, it was easier to receive authorization for UBUNTU. OEM companies gave more freedom and Meizu did not receive any restrictions from Google. It’s newest “Scope” feature lets users search and ask for information from the main screen and offers good applications and services.

Based our experience with it, the MX3 Ubuntu edition’s operating system runs versy smoothly but when it comes to stability, it leaves much to be desired. Improvements are still being made on the phone’s lower-level drivers and stability, so there’s no clear date when it will be finished..

Furthermore, Meizu said that they chose Ubuntu along with the Android operating system, but even if they will continue to use Ubuntu in the future, they will still work on Flym’s interface and services to create a better user experience.

Meizu are not lagging behind and delaying with any updates nowadays. Keeping up with this, they have recently launched Flyme ROM update based on android 4.4 (KitKat) for its Meizu MX3.

Flyme 3.6.2a is the second in the series of 4.4 based update and is ready for download now. It is to be released on the flagship Samsung Exynos Octacore smartphone. With alteration made in the music, video, browser, contacts and Bluetooth apps, this update is merely a bug fix.

Even though I have not yet tried the android 4.4, it is claimed by the critics and users to have a greatly improved battery life and performance.

Apart from this, the other highlight by Meizu is they are close to breaking a 1 billion downloads record from the app store.

But we have heard the news that the Meizu MX3 is offers with more price than Chinese market. The Meizu MX3 is offers from 449 to 549 Euros, depending on memory capacity. The price is around $622 USD to $761 USD, while in China the phone is offers with only 235 Euro or around $325 USD for 16GB version.

Meizu MX3 is packs with 5.1 inch screen display (1080 x 1800 pixel with 412 ppi, powered by samsung Exynos 5 Octa quad-core processor and support for PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU, the phone is equpped with 2400 mAH battery capacity and coupled with 8 megapixel camera aith autofocus and LED flash light with 2 megaixel front facing camera and running Android Android 4.2 operating system with Flyme OS 3.

Meizu has been announced on their microblogging website that they ready to preparing the new conference on September 2nd this year, the conference held on Beijig Water Cube.
