Netgear is introducing more accessible versions of its high-end Orbi and Nighthawk router systems. Whether they are actually affordable for you or not, that’s up to you to decide.

The Orbi 970 router supports Wi-Fi 7 with speeds of up to 11Gbps

The recently released Orbi 970, while boasting impressive specs, comes with a hefty price tag. The new Orbi 770 offers a more budget-friendly alternative, starting at $700. This tri-band mesh router system still packs a punch, supporting Wi-Fi 7 with speeds of up to 11Gbps (enough to handle even the most demanding households). That’s 11 times faster than your typical internet plan (measured in Mbps, not Gbps).

Coverage is impressive too, with a three-pack system blanketing up to 8,000 square feet. Gamers and power users will appreciate the presence of 2.5Gb LAN ports for wired connections. The sleek cylindrical design blends seamlessly into any décor, and with four internal antennas per unit, it promises strong 360-degree Wi-Fi throughout your home.

The Orbi 770 starter pack (router and one satellite) starts at $700, while the three-pack (router and two satellites) costs $1,000. Additional satellites can be purchased for $400 each, ideal for sprawling estates.

For those who don’t require a mesh system, the Netgear Nighthawk RS300 offers a compelling standalone router option. This tri-band router boasts Wi-Fi 7 speeds up to 9.3Gbps, blanketing an area of up to 2,500 square feet and supporting up to 100 devices. It features a pair of 2.5Gbps LAN ports for wired connections, with the option to link two 1Gbps LAN ports for even faster NAS device connections (up to 2Gbps).

A built-in USB thumb drive allows for easy file sharing, and a convenient app lets you manage your network settings. The Nighthawk RS300 is priced at $330, a significantly more affordable option compared to the flagship RS700S.

Popular networking products manufacturer Netgear has launched the Nighthawk RAXE500 Tri-band Wi-Fi Router. The new router is the brand’s first-ever Wi-Fi 6E router and it makes its debut alongside the Nighthawk 4G LTE Wi-Fi 6 Router, the LM1200 4G LTE Modem, and the WAX214 and WAX218 APs.

The Nighthawk RAXE500 Tri-band Wi-Fi Router is built with expanded capacity to use the present 6GHz Wi-Fi band for higher-capacity, lower latency connections. The router is great for use cases such as simultaneously streaming 4K/8K video, video conferencing, and conducting distance learning. It also features the latest WPA3 protocol, which should provide enhanced security.

The new high-end router has a semblance with a manta ray, which is similar to other products on Netgear’s Nighthawk line of wireless routers. Netgear says the router can push beyond gigabit speeds for mobile devices, and that it offers a total bandwidth of up to 10.8Gbps.

Furthermore, the new Nighthawk RAXE500 Router features five-gigabit ports and two USB 3.0 ports on its rear. It supports multi-gigabit speeds via a compatible DOCSIS 3.1 modem, either through the RAXE500’s single 2.5Gb link or by opting for a multiport link aggregation method (which offers up to 2Gbps speeds).

The Netgear Nighthawk RAXE500 is priced at $599.99 and will be available later this month while the Nighthawk LAX20 costs $299.99 and the LM1200 LTE modem costs $149.99.

The first Snapdragon 855 (or SM8150 as it may be called) powered device is not a mobile phone but a router. The AT&T NETGEAR NightHawk Mobile Hotspot unveiled a few days ago is actually the first commercially available device with Qualcomm’s next-gen flagship.

The NETGEAR NightHawk is a 5G mobile hotspot that was unveiled a few days ago and was used to carry out the world’s first millimeter wave mobile 5G browsing session. Since it has a Snapdragon 855 processor powering it, it means it also has the Snapdragon X50 5G modem. The mobile hotspot will be exclusive to AT&T and will go on sale later this year but a price has not yet been announced.

AT&T will be the first carrier to introduce 5G services in the United States. Their plan is to roll out services in at least 12 cities before the end of the year and bump it to 19 cities early next year.

First 5G devices aren't phones as proven by Verizon/Motorola and Moto Z3 + 5G mod. Qualcomm and its partners will first launch a Netgear 5G Mobile Router with SDM855+SDX50 5G modem coming to AT&T later this year + an HTC 5G (SD835+SDX50 5G device (VRheadset?) later this year

Popular leaker, Roland Quandt revealed back in August that the NETGEAR router will be the first device with the X50 modem and the SDM855 chipset. He also said in the tweet that HTC will follow with a VR headset powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset but with a X50 5G modem.
