The series is composed of three phones: the vanilla <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-q5/">Realme Q5</a>, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-q5i/">Realme Q5i</a>, and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-q5-pro/">Realme Q5 Pro</a>, with the latter being a flagship killer with a high-end hardware department. This series will remain exclusive to the Chinese market, even though devices belonging to the Q5 series might debut in other markets under different names as happened with previous generations. As you can see from the image, aesthetically, they are very different phones. But they also differ in their specs sheets. This is a comparison between the specifications of the Realme Q5, the Q5 Pro, and the Q5i.</p>

<h2>Design</h2>
<p>The Realme Q5 Pro is very attractive because it introduces a brand new texture on the rear side. If you do not like it, then the vanilla Realme Q5 offers you a better design with its multi-layer coating giving you a reflective rear side. Unfortunately, these phones are built with cheap materials: you do not get glass backs and aluminum frames like on flagships, but the build quality is still good. The Realme Q5i is the most compact phone of the trio because it has a smaller display, and it is even the thinnest one. The Pro variant also comes in a Vans custom edition dedicated to the known skating shoe manufacturer.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Display</h2>
<p>If you are looking for the most advanced display, then you should go for the Realme Q5 Pro. It is the only one from this trio to sport an AMOLED panel. The display has a diagonal of 6.62 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, the HDR10+ certification, and an in-display fingerprint reader. The silver medal goes to the Realme Q5 coming with a 6.6-inch display, a Full HD+ resolution, and a 120 Hz refresh rate, but with the IPS LCD technology. The Realme Q5i has an IPS panel too, but with a lower 90 Hz refresh rate and a smaller 6.58-inch diagonal.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Hardware/Software</h2>
<p>The most powerful hardware is provided by the Realme Q5 Pro which almost reaches the high-end segment thanks to a Snapdragon 870 mobile platform built at 7 nm and running at a max frequency of 3.2 GHz, paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. But it is also the only one without a micro SD slot. Right after, we got the Realme Q5 with a Snapdragon 695 chipset, up to 8 GB of RAM, and up to 256 GB of internal storage. The Realme Q5i comes last with a Dimensity 810, just 6 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. All of these phones run Android 12 out of the box with the Realme UI 3.0 on top.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Camera</h2>
<p>The most advanced camera belongs to the Realme Q5 Pro, but it is still a midrange camera: we are talking about a triple camera with a 64 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro camera. No ultrawide lenses on the Realme Q5 and Q5i, and a different main camera: the vanilla version has a pretty good 50 MP sensor, while the Q5i has a disappointing 13 MP snapper.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Battery</h2>
<p>All of the batteries come with a 5000 mAh capacity, but these phones differ in terms of charging speeds: 65W on the Q5, 80W on the Q5 Pro, and 33W on the Q5i. Note that the Realme Q5 Pro lasts more on a single charge thanks to its efficient components.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2 style="text-align: center">Realme Q5 vs Realme Q5 Pro vs Realme Q5i: Price</h2>
<p>The starting price of the Realme Q5 roughly translates into €200/$210, the Pro variant starts from about €330/$347, and the Q5i begins at €180/$189. Which one would you pick?</p>

<p>Ahead of its launch, the vanilla Q5 has been spotted on various certification databases, including TENAA. Now, the device has made an appearance on Geekbench just days before its launch.</p>
<p>According to a <a href="https://www.mysmartprice.com/gear/realme-q5-geekbench-listing-snapdragon-695/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Mysmartprice</em></a> report, the Realme Q5 with model number RMX3478 has been spotted on the Geekbench benchmark database, revealing information about its processor, RAM, and operating system.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-455351" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Realme-Q5-Geekbench.png?x10805" alt="Realme Q5 Geekbench" width="505" height="626" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Realme-Q5-Geekbench.png 660w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Realme-Q5-Geekbench-242x300.png 242w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Realme-Q5-Geekbench-339x420.png 339w" sizes="(max-width: 505px) 100vw, 505px" /></p>
<p>The benchmark listing reveals that the Realme Q5 has an octa-core processor in a 2+6 cluster formation. The two performance cores are clocked at 2.21GHz, while the remaining six cores are clocked at 1.80GHz. The motherboard of the device has the codename &#8220;holi&#8221;, which implies that the device is running Qualcomm&#8217;s Snapdragon 695 5G enabled SoC. Other than that, the listing reveals that the Redmi Q5 has an 8GB RAM capacity and runs Android 12 out of the box.</p>
<p>Coming to its benchmark scores, the handset has scored 690 points in the single-core test of the Geekbench 5, while in the multi-core test, it achieved a score of 2038 points.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Talking about brands, the three separate events will be headed by </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Xiaomi</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Realme/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Realme</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Oneplus/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Oneplus</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> respectively. With that out of the way, let’s take a look at all these upcoming smartphones one by one.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h1><b>Upcoming Smartphones Next Week</b></h1>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><b>Redmi 10A</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At the end of March, the Redmi 10A made its </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/03/28/redmi-10a-with-helio-g25-soc-and-5000mah-battery-launched-in-china/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">initial debut</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in China. The entry-level smartphone is now </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/04/13/redmi-10a-officially-launches-on-april-20-in-india/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">heading to India</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> on April 20 (Wednesday). Though Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the timing for the virtual event yet, we can expect it to begin at 12 PM on Redmi India’s official YouTube channel.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-454802 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Redmi-10A-Featured-A-1024x683.jpg?x10805" alt="Redmi 10A" width="696" height="464" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Redmi-10A-Featured-A-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Redmi-10A-Featured-A-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Redmi-10A-Featured-A-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Redmi-10A-Featured-A-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Redmi-10A-Featured-A-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Redmi-10A-Featured-A-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Redmi-10A-Featured-A.jpg 1800w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Redmi 10A is almost the same as the Redmi 9A from 2020. The only major difference between the two is the presence of a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on the newer model, in addition to a slightly tweaked back design.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The device comes with a 6.53-inch HD+ display (LCD), MediaTek Helio G25 SoC, 13MP rear camera, 5MP selfie camera, MicroSD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, MicroUSB port, 5,000mAh battery, and 10W charging support.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><b>Realme Q5 Series</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Realme has </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/04/12/realme-q5-series-to-debut-on-april-20-in-china/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">scheduled</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> a launch event in China for April 20 (Wednesday) at 2 PM CST. The company has confirmed to announce the Realme Q5 series at this conference. According to teasers and leaks, three models are expected, namely Realme Q5,  Realme Q5 Pro, and Realme Q5i.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-454804 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Realme-Q5-Pro-Featured-B-1024x683.jpg?x10805" alt="Realme Q5 Pro" width="696" height="464" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Realme-Q5-Pro-Featured-B-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Realme-Q5-Pro-Featured-B-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Realme-Q5-Pro-Featured-B-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Realme-Q5-Pro-Featured-B-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Realme-Q5-Pro-Featured-B-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Realme-Q5-Pro-Featured-B-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Realme-Q5-Pro-Featured-B.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Realme Q5 Pro is said to arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, 6.52-inch 120Hz OLED display, 50MP (wide) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro) triple camera system, 16MP selfie camera, 5,000mAh battery, and 80W fast charging.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On the other hand, the Realme Q5i is tipped to come with a 6.58-inch FHD+ display (LCD), Mediatek Dimensity 810 chipset, 13MP + 2MP dual-camera setup, 8MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Unfortunately, the specs of the Realme Q5 are a mystery for now.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><b>Oneplus Ace</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On April 21 (Thursday), Oneplus will be </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/04/14/oneplus-ace-launch-date-confirmed-design-revealed/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">holding</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> a launch conference in China at 7 PM CST. The star of the show will be Oneplus Ace. The upper mid-range smartphone will be accompanied by accessories like Oneplus Buds N and Oneplus Bullets Wireless Z2.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-454806 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Oneplus-Ace-Oneplus-10R-Featured-D.jpg?x10805" alt="Oneplus Ace / Oneplus 10R" width="880" height="587" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Oneplus-Ace-Oneplus-10R-Featured-D.jpg 880w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Oneplus-Ace-Oneplus-10R-Featured-D-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Oneplus-Ace-Oneplus-10R-Featured-D-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Oneplus-Ace-Oneplus-10R-Featured-D-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Oneplus-Ace-Oneplus-10R-Featured-D-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 880px) 100vw, 880px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The forthcoming Oneplus Ace is nothing but a tweaked Realme GT Neo 3. The only major difference between the two is the rear design. The Ace is also set to go official in India </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/04/15/oneplus-10r-launch-confirmed-28-april/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">later this month</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> as Oneplus 10R.</span></p>

It appears that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/04/07/realme-q5-series-80w-charging/">80W charging support</a> will be available only on the Q5 Pro, which is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset.</p>

<p>Realme smartphones with RMX3372, RMX3574, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/03/17/upcoming-realme-rmx3571s-full-specifications-revealed-via-tenaa-listing/">RMX3571</a>, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/03/08/realme-rmx3575-6-tenaa-certified-specifications-and-images-revealed-may-debut-as-realme-v21-5g/">RMX3575/6</a> model numbers have been spotted at the TENAA certification site in the recent past. The RMX3575/6 is likely to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/03/08/realme-rmx3575-6-tenaa-certified-specifications-and-images-revealed-may-debut-as-realme-v21-5g/">debut as the Realme V21 5G</a>. Hence, the other three models may launch as the Q5 series of smartphones in China.</p>
<p>The Realme Q5 Pro is expected to arrive with a 6.62-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display. For photography, it may feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera and a 64-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit.</p>
<p>The SD870 powered device may come with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of native storage. <span data-startindex="94" data-endindex="213" data-paragraphid="8">It will come with other features such as a 5,000mAh battery, a microSD card slot, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. </span>The Q5 Pro is expected to arrive in three <span data-startindex="256" data-endindex="261" data-paragraphid="8">colors</span> like Mirror Black, Dream Blue, and Super Orange. Realme is expected to give more information about the Q5 models before its official launch. Speculations are rife that the company may also unveil the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/04/13/realme-q5-pro-x-vans-special-edition-leaked/">Realme Q5 Pro Vans Special Edition handset</a>.</p>

It is the latest lineup of smartphones from the brand, but prior to its release, a new leak has revealed that a new collaboration is also on the way.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-454347 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/03a7aa1b-b92c-433a-af19-16f252f030cb.png?x10805" alt="Realme" width="600" height="374" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/03a7aa1b-b92c-433a-af19-16f252f030cb.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/03a7aa1b-b92c-433a-af19-16f252f030cb-300x187.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p>Looking at a leaked promotional image poster, it appears that the Chinese smartphone maker is partnering up with Vans. This &#8220;realme X Vans&#8221; collaboration will have the former launch a limited edition model of the Q5 Pro smartphone. The leaked teaser image also highlights the upcoming special edition&#8217;s unique new aesthetic, which consists of a checkerboard pattern design. This design also carries a dual tone color scheme, which includes yellow and white.</p>
<p>So, we can expect the new handset to be called the Realme Q5 Pro Vans Special Edition, or something along this line. The news arrives from known tipster @stufflistings that stated that the Realme Q5 series will be collaborating with the popular clothing brand. Talking about the device itself, the Q5 Pro is expected to sport a 6.62-inch AMOLED screen that offers an FHD+ resolution. It also has a 16 megapixel selfie camera and a 64 megapixel triple camera setup on the rear.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the device is said to be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-870">Snapdragon 870</a> chipset. It may arrive with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. Digital Chat Station broke the news that the realme Q5 series will support 80W fast charging, which has the ability to fill a 5,000mAh to 100% in just 30 minutes.</p>
<p>The realme Q5 series is supposed to be a budget-friendly offering, so flagship-level 80W charging is surprising. 80W fast charging is a fairly new standard and is associated with flagship-level devices since it&#8217;s seen on the likes of the OPPO Find X5 series and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-10-pro/">OnePlus 10 Pro</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-453444 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-q5-series-80w-charging-tip.png?x10805" alt="realme q5 series 80w charging tip" width="873" height="398" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-q5-series-80w-charging-tip.png 873w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-q5-series-80w-charging-tip-300x137.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-q5-series-80w-charging-tip-768x350.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-q5-series-80w-charging-tip-696x317.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 873px) 100vw, 873px" /></p>
<p>The realme Q5 earlier appeared on the TENAA certification website where its live images were also posted. The phone looks to be having a flat-edged design and has a dual-camera setup at the rear housed within a rectangular camera module.</p>
<p>The listing also revealed some key specifications of the devices. The realme Q5 series will come with Snapdragon 870 processors, with up to 12GB of memory and 512GB of storage.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-453443 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-80w-charger-1024x683.jpg?x10805" alt="realme 80w charger" width="696" height="464" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-80w-charger-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-80w-charger-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-80w-charger-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-80w-charger-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-80w-charger-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-80w-charger-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-80w-charger.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>The series will comprise two models that&#8217;ll most likely be named the realme Q5 and realme Q5 Pro. While the former is equipped with a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera setup, the latter will come with 13MP + 2MP dual cameras. The Pro model has a 4880mAh (dual-cell) with a body thickness of 8.65mm and 194.5g weight. The vanilla model has a thickness of 8.1mm with 190g weight.</p>

<p>For selfies, it has a front camera of 16-megapixel. The rear shell of the smartphone has a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel lens, and a 2-megapixel shooter. It runs on Android 11 OS.</p>
<p>The handset is expected to arrive with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-1200">Dimensity 1200</a> chipset. It houses a 4,400mAh rated battery, which may carry support for 65W fast charging. It features an in-screen fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm audio jack.</p>
<p>The specification of the phone is almost identical to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/09/10/oppo-k9-pro-specifications-renders-release-date-emerge-through-china-telecom-listing/">upcoming OPPO K9 Pro</a>. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-q3-pro">Realme Q3 Pro</a> powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-1100">Dimensity 1100</a> chipset is the most powerful phone in the Q3 series. Hence, it is likely that the Realme RMX3357 phone with Dimensity 1200 may debut as the Realme Q5 Pro. Hopefully, newer reports will reveal the exact moniker of the device.</p>
