Huawei to open largest experience store in UAE with three days of celebrations

Huawei, has announced that it will open the largest experience store in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on December 16. The store, located at City Center Deira, will be Huawei’s seventh experience store in the UAE and will span 396 m2 of retail space. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 7:00 PM and will be attended by Peak Yin, the Country Manager for Huawei Consumer Business Group UAE, as well as local VIPs, digital content creators, and customers.

To celebrate the opening of the new store, Huawei will offer a range of discounts and deals over the course of three days. On the opening day, customers will be able to get up to 40% off on audio and wearables, including the FreeBuds Pro 2, Watch GT 3 Pro, and Band 7 devices. The next day, Huawei will release the Mate 50 series in the UAE, along with a number of freebies. On the final day of celebrations, customers will be able to get free gifts on products worth over AED 1000, as well as cash vouchers worth AED 600 for the first 20 customers.

The opening of the largest Huawei experience store in the UAE marks a significant development for the company and will allow customers in the country to easily access new products and services. With a wide range of discounts and offers available over the course of the celebration period, it is sure to be an exciting event for both Huawei and its customers.

Apple’s newest and latest retail store arrives in the heart of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi. Apple Al Maryah Island Store opened last Friday, February 25, a new retail destination elevated above steps of cascading water. Serving as Apple’s newest store in the United Arab Emirates, the space delivers the best of Apple with shoreline views amid Abu Dhabi’s prestigious financial district.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to open the stunning Apple Al Maryah Island,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People. “Our talented team is ready to welcome and delight customers from this vibrant community to our newest location in the Emirates.”

To celebrate the grand opening, the store will debut three unique Today at Apple sessions that draw inspiration from the beautiful surroundings and creative culture of Abu Dhabi:

Coming to the design, Apple Al Maryah Island introduces several new design elements reflective of its surroundings. From the promenade, two ramps paved with Absolute Black granite stone cut through water and continue seamlessly inside the store, blurring the barrier between inside and out. The store also features a golden carbon fibre roof locally sourced in the UAE. At the entrance of The Galleria Al Maryah Island Mall, visitors entering will walk through a mirrored stainless steel portal, enveloped by the sights and sounds of water jets cascading over exterior glass walls. A 72-foot-long mirrored foil ceiling creates a kaleidoscopic effect, with water falling down the walls, and reflections seen below.

For the interior, guests are greeted with panoramic views of Abu Dhabi’s extraordinary skyline. When looking up, customers will also find a one-of-a-kind ceiling made of stretched gold fabric. The glass walls bring in the natural light, with ficus trees adding greenery to the interior. In addition, the store also features an innovative radiant floor system combined with displacement ventilation that helps cool the building.

Apple’s new store features a multicultural team of more than 80 members who represent 28 nationalities and collectively speak over 30 languages, including Arabic, French, Hindi, Tagalog, and more. Throughout the expansive space, customers can get shopping assistance from highly knowledgeable Apple specialists as they explore the latest products, learn more about Apple services such as the Trade-In program, or receive expert advice and support at the Genius Grove.

Samsung’s long-delayed smartphone — the Galaxy S21 FE is now finally expected to go official next month during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022. As the launch is nearing, we are getting to know more about the phone, even though most of the information related to the smartphone has already been leaked.

In the latest leak, the official render of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has surfaced online as the support page for the upcoming smartphone has gone live on the official website for Samsung’s UAE region.

Along with that, the company has also listed three other products related to the Galaxy S21 FE on the website, which are the official cases. They are similar to what the South Korean company has been offering for most of its premium phones — Clear View Cover, Silicone Cover, and Clear Standing Cover.

The renders showcase a design that has now become familiar. There’s a punch-hole cutout on the front panel for housing the selfie camera where there’s an array of three camera sensors on the back in the top-left corner — just like the original Galaxy S21.

While the smartphone is getting launched in January, it is believed to get a soft launch rather than a dedicated special event. Also, the initial supply is expected to be low because of the ongoing chip shortage.

A recent report revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE could get launched in India around the same time as the global launch, meaning sometime in January 2022. In India, the phone is expected to come in four colors —  White, Black, Pink, and Green.

Based on the leaks and rumors so far, the phone features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 or the company’s own Exynos 2100 chipsets, depending on the region.

It comes in two memory variants — 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB of internal storage. It will be powered by a 4,380mAh battery and support 25W fast charging technology. It is likely to come with the Android 11 operating system and Samsung OneUI 3.1 custom skin.

Coming to the camera department, the device will have a 64MP primary sensor, paired with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone could house a 32MP snapper for selfies and video chats.

The Huawei Mate 30 series of smartphones have been available for purchase in China since the past few months. Recently, the company also started selling the Mate 30 Pro 5G in its home market.

Now, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G isn’t limited to the Chinese market as the company has now launched the device in the UAE as well. The phone will be up for sale in the UAE from 15th January for a price of AED 3,899 (~$1,062).

The company has also revealed while the official sale begins from 15th January in the UAE, the device will be up for purchase from 23rd January through Huawei Experience Stores and select other retailers in the region.

Further, those who pre-order the smartphone, will get a bunch of freebies worth AED 1,829 (approximately $497), which includes a SuperCharge wireless car charger, a DJI Osmo Mobile 3 gimbal, and VIP services.

When launched in China, the company had announced two color variants for the device — Vegan Leather Orange and Vegan Leather Forest Green. It features a 6.53-inch OLED display that offers full HD+ resolution of 1176 x 2400 pixels, 18.5:9 aspect ratio, and Gorilla Glass 6 protection on top.

Under the hood, Kirin 990 5G chipset powers the smartphone and comes packed with up 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.0 storage of up to 512GB. There is a nanoSD card slot (shared SIM slot) for expanding its storage.

The Leica-engineered quad-camera setup on the back includes an OIS assisted 40-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom support, a 40-megapixel ultrawide shooter and a 3D ToF lens. The phone features a front-facing camera of 32-megapixel for taking selfies and video calling.

The smartphone is running EMUI 10 based Android 10 operating system and is powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 40W fast charging, 27W fast wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
