The most important of them are the Vivo T1, the Vivo T1 Pro, and the Vivo T1x. Three variants, all affordable, but with important differences between their specs sheets. They all belong to the midrange segment and recently debuted in the Indian market. This is a comparison between their specifications which will highlight the differences. Note that a few days ago the first device from the T2 series debuted as well: the Vivo T2x. It should be soon followed by the vanilla T2 and maybe the T2 Pro. We will keep you updated as soon as it happens.

Design

These three handsets are not the best out there when it comes to the design. They are all built with a polycarbonate body and a polycarbonate frame, there are no premium materials. Further, they come with waterdrop notches. The Vivo T1 and the Vivo T1 Pro have the same design with a camera module including two circles, each with sensors inside. They are more beautiful than the T1x due to the more modern camera module and a U-shaped waterdrop notch instead of a V-shaped one. Further, they both come with in-display fingerprint readers, unlike the T1x which has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Display

Are you looking for the best display in terms of image quality? If so, choose the Vivo T1 Pro because it is undoubtedly the best. It has an AMOLED panel with a diagonal of 6.44 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2404 pixels, a very high peak brightness, and the HDR10+ certification. The Vivo T1 looks to have the same display but without the HDR10+ certification, so it still provides a good image quality but it should be inferior on streaming platforms. The Vivo T1x is inferior with its IPS panel, but it has a better display for gaming because it sports a 90 Hz refresh rate. All of these phones come with a mono speaker and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Specs & Software

The most advanced phone in terms of hardware is the Vivo T1 Pro. First of all, it is the only one supporting the 5G connectivity. Further, it is faster and better for gaming thanks to the Snapdragon 778G mobile platform built at 6 nm and running at a max frequency of 2.4 GHz. It has higher CPU and GPU performance than the Snapdragon 680 4G chipset found on the Vivo T1 and the T1x, but you should consider that it is the only one of the trio without a micro SD slot. All of these handsets run Android 12 out of the box customized by Funtouch OS for the global market.

Camera

Again, the Vivo T1 Pro is superior in terms of camera setup. It has a 64 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro sensor. The Vivo T1 and the T1x come with inferior 50 MP main cameras and they replace the ultrawide lens with a useless depth sensor. Further, the T1x is the most disappointing one because it has an inferior selfie camera as well.

Battery

The phone with the longest battery life is the vanilla Vivo T1 because it has a big 5000 mAh battery and, unlike the T1x, it sports an AMOLED display with lower energy consumption. The Vivo T1 Pro loses because it has a smaller battery, but it charges quicker thanks to 66W fast charging.

Price

The starting price of the vanilla Vivo T1 for the global market (with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage) roughly translates into €190/$204 at the actual change, the Vivo T1x starts from about €150/$161 in the 4/64 GB memory configuration, and the Vivo T1 Pro carries a starting price of €300/$322 for the 6/128 GB configuration. Did you understand which one fits your needs the most? The Vivo T1 and the Pro variant come with a better display, even though the T1x has a higher refresh rate. The T1 Pro is the best one thanks to faster charging, 5G connectivity, a superior chipset, and even better cameras. The T1 is just a T1x with a better display (it has an AMOLED panel, while its affordable sibling has an IPS display) but its price is slightly higher.

Now, a new report (via India Today) has surfaced online stating that Vivo will launch another device alongside the Vivo T1 Pro dubbed the Vivo T1 44W.

The Vivo T1 44W will be positioned below the Vivo T1 5G and will have a price tag near Rs 15,000 in India. The smartphone will have an AMOLED screen and will come powered by the 4G enabled Snapdragon 680 SoC. The phone will get 18W fast charging support just like the T1 5G and is expected to come with a 5000mAh battery.

The report also states that the Vivo T1 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G SoC. It will feature a 64-megapixel super night camera, so we can expect good quality low light imaging from the device. Other than that, the Vivo T1 Pro will feature 66W fast charging, an 8-layer liquid cooling system, and an AMOLED display with 1300 nits of peak brightness.

Both Vivo T1 Pro and Vivo T1 44W will come with Funtouch OS based on Android 12. Sources have stated that the phones will be sold through Flipkart and other online channels. A previous Geekbench listing of the Vivo T1 Pro 5G has revealed that the device will come with 8GB of RAM, which we expect will be the higher-end variant paired with 128GB or 256GB of storage. The phone could also come with a 6GB of RAM and 128GB variant as its base configuration.

Multiple sources have hinted that the upcoming Vivo T1 devices will be launched in India in May, so we expect more details about the smartphones before the official launch.

Now, however, 91Mobiles reveals that there will be two Vivo phones coming to the Indian market under the T-series.

Vivo is tipped to release two new smartphones under the T-lineup in India. The monikers of the phones are unknown, but one of the phones could be the Vivo T1 Pro if we are to be guessing. The publication, however, leaves no naming as such in their story.
Vivo T1 Pro 5G is an upcoming Vivo T-series phone

It is worth noting that the Vivo T1 Pro is in the pipeline for Vivo. The smartphone is expected to come with Snapdragon 778G SoC, making it a 5G compatible device. The device’s Geekbench scores showed 790 points in the single-core department and 2865 points in the multi-core department.

The device has 8GB of RAM, and we expect it to arrive with either 128GB or 256GB of storage. There will be FunTouchOS running on the phone, with Android 12 OS beneath it.

Although the brand is keeping things on the down-low at the moment, we expect the company to drop teasers in the coming weeks, followed by a release later this year.

The device recently passed Geekbench revealing key details. Now, Onsitego has revealed the launch timeline of the device for the Indian market.

The Vivo T1 Pro 5G is tipped to launch in May in the Indian market. It means that we still have a few weeks until we see the phone on the shelves. We expect the device to arrive above Rs. 20,000 (~$262) range. Post launch, it is expected to compete with the subbrand’s iQOO Z6 Pro 5G.

Vivo T1 5G

To those unaware, the iQOO Z6 Pro 5G is set to arrive with the same chipset as the Vivo T1 Pro 5G i.e. the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. We have already seen the T1 Pro 5G on Geekbench scoring 790 points in the single-core department and 2856 points in the multi-core department.

The phone will come with 8GB of RAM, which we expect will be the higher-end variant paired with 128GB or 256GB of storage. The phone could also come with a 6GB of RAM and 128GB variant as its base configuration. It will run on Android 12 OS out of the box with FunTouchOS on top of it.

Other specs of the phone are yet to be known, but we can expect an AMOLED display and better fast charging support as compared to the vanilla Vivo T1 5G.

A report from February revealed that the phone would arrive in India between April and May. Well, the brand hasn’t come out to tease the device as of yet. However, the phone has been spotted on Geekbench certification.

The Vivo T1 Pro 5G carries the model number V2151 on the Geekbench version 5. The device has scored 790 points in the single-core department and 2856 points in the multi-core department. These scores are possible, thanks to the octa-core SoC inside the phone.

The device has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC clocked at a base frequency of 1.80GHz and a maximum of 2.40GHz. The variant that we see here is the 8GB RAM variant. We expect this to be the top variant, which will likely be paired with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. The listing reveals that the phone comes with the Android 12 OS out of the box.

Apart from this, there are no details of the phone’s other specs. However, we can expect the phone to offer better cameras than its sibling, the Vivo T1 5G. It is also expected to have an improved fast charging speed.

The Vivo T1 5G, which is already on the market, has a 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone has a Snapdragon 695 SoC that enables 5G connectivity on the phone. It has 50MP triple-rear cameras and a 16MP selfie snapper. The phone packs a 5,000mAh cell with support for 18W fast charging.

According to a MySmartPrice report, the Chinese smartphone maker is planning on launching a new Pro model soon. At the moment, the company sells the Vivo T1 and T1X (in China), but is following the two models with a higher end variant. The report says that sources close to the matter have also revealed the launch timeline for the T1 Pro 5G in India. This model will be arriving in the country sometime between April and May of 2022.

In other words, we can also expect this device to first be unveiled in the brand’s home market of China. However, the sources further added that the Chinese variant of the T1 Pro might be different from the version arriving in India. As of right now, there are no finer details regarding this Pro version. But, we can expect it to feature beefed up specifications compared to the base T1, which featured a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 in India, while the Chinese variant had the Snapdragon 778G.

Other features include a 6.58 inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen that offers 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, it also offers 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is powered by a large 5,000mAh battery pack and supports 18W fast charging as well. So, the Pro model may finally bring the Snapdragon 778G in India, or possibly even a more powerful SoC. Keep in mind that this is still an unconfirmed report so take it with a pinch of salt for now.
