Xiaomi Executive Confirms Two Product Launches On July 27!

by Joe 13

Xiaomi has confirmed a new conference on July 27, which is just a couple of weeks away. However, as of now, the company hasn’t revealed what to expect from the new event, nor it has given any hints of the number of products going to be announced that day. Recent rumors have said that there would be more than one announcement, and looks like, the rumors are true, as Xiaomi’s, Director of new Media, Lu, has just revealed via his Weibo account that there will be two announcements at the event.

xiaomi july 27 two products

So what can be those two products? His post reveals that the first product has three letters and the second product has five letters. Judging from the number of letters, the first product could be Redmi 4 (红米4 in Chinese) or maybe Note 4. The second product should be none other than Xiaomi’s first Notebook since 小米笔记本 i.e. Xiaomi Notebook fits perfectly in the five letter space.

Both the products are going to be exciting and we have been hearing consistently about them for the past few weeks. The Redmi Note 4 is expected to be the company’s first dual camera smartphone, featuring a metal body and Helio X20 chip inside. As for the Xiaomi Notebook, there should be three display variants, but the 12.5-inch and 13.3-inch models are expected to debut first. The larger 15.6-inch could be announced later, as per previous rumors.

Inside, we may find Intel’s Atom series processor which will ensure cheap price tag and long battery life. The overall design should be like the Apple Macbook, with a light aluminum body.

I am hoping for Mi Note 2 with full LTE network support and a Xiaomi Notebook. I would buy both.

I am hoping for a Redmi 4 equipped with Snapdragon 625, 3GB Ram, 32GB storage, SD Card extension, 1080P screen resolution 5 to 5.2″, decent camera and at least a 4100mah battery. I know I dream a lot but recently we have seen some interesting new Redmi Benchmarks. Maybe Xiaomi will release the new Redmi Note 4 with Snapdragon 652…

Regarding the Notebook, if the pricing is attractive I might be tempted to get a second laptop.

It is a shame that Xiaomi haven’t released a Redmi device with SD625. For the Redmi 3S, they used the SD430. I mean that I am ready to pay 15-20 USD more to get a more powerful CPU.

It seems that the MI Note 2 is going to be a stellar device!!! I wished I had more money, I would have gone for it without any hesitation.

The Redmi 4 Pro will probably use the SD625 and have all the specs you want

I do have the same feeling, if it is true then the choice will be difficult because I want to try a bigger screen (max 5.5″) for the first time. I was tempted to buy Zuk Z2 recently but finally changed my mind because of screen quality and lack of support regarding the software at the moment (ZUI is buggy according to some users). The Zuk Z2 Pro would be a better option but its a bit expensive.

I am kind of sad if really redmi note 4 will use back mediatek SOC.
Mediatek makes some good SOC (not all) but their android software never got enough support to make their SOC shinning. it is like using a porche machine but with OS for KIA picanto, full of bugs that never ever got a fix.

Also how Xiaomi forget that India don’t allow them to sell any Mediatek Smartphone because of licensing issue with the stupid ericson ? By the time they release the pro version, all the potential buyer already buy from other brands and they miss the opportunity again.
