In September, Vivo had unveiled the Vivo V7+, but the Vivo V7 was not introduced alongside it. Today, the company has officially unveiled the Vivo V7 in Indonesia. The smartphone is also scheduled to debut in India on Nov. 20.

The outstanding feature of the Vivo V7 is its f/2.0 aperture 24-megapixel front-facing camera. It is equipped with a “selfie softlight” flash. Through Face Beauty 7.0, the Vivo uses its own algorithms to capture richer and beautiful looking selfies. Face Beauty can also enrich video calls on apps like WhatsApp, Line, Facebook Messenger, Zalo, and Viber Messenger. The Portrait Mode feature can shoot amazing selfies with bokeh effect.

The backside of the Vivo V7 has an f/2.0 aperture 16-megapixel camera. It is equipped with features like PDAF and single-LED flash. It also possesses the ability to shoot 64-megapixel Ultra HD images by stitching multiple images.

The Vivo V7 features a 5.7-inch FullView IPS LCD display that offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. It delivers an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone produces an excellent viewing space as it offers a screen-to-body ratio of 83.6 percent.

The Snapdragon 450 chipset that powers the V7+ also fuels the newly unveiled V7 phone along with 4 GB of RAM. It includes a 3,000mAh battery that lacks support for fast charging. It has an inbuilt storage of 32 GB and it has a dedicated slot for adding a micro SD card. The connectivity features of the Vivo V7 include 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB, Wi-Fi, v4.2 Bluetooth, USB OTG, GPS and GLONASS. The rear panel of the phone features a fingerprint reader.

The handset is preinstalled with Android 7.1 Nougat that is overlaid with FunTouch OS 3.2 which brings features like Face Access for unlocking the phone with face scan, Smart Split 3.0 for running two simultaneously on the same screen, and App Clone that allow users to access two accounts on social media apps like WhatsApp, BBM, WeChat, Zalo and Viber. The handset does not feature the AK4376A Hi-Fi audio chip found on the V7+.

The Vivo V7 has a full metallic chassis that measures 149.3 x 72.8 x 7.9mm and its weight is 139 grams. It can be bought in colors like Matte Black and Gold. It is available in Indonesia with a price tag of Rp 3,799,000 (~$280).
