Today, Nokia is holding a launch event in India where the company is expected to launch the Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco. Now, ahead of the launch of Nokia 6 (2018), the Nokia 6 3GB RAM model has received another price cut in India.
The smartphone was launched in India in June last year at a price of Rs. 14,999. Last month, the phone received Rs. 1,500 price cut, bringing down the phone’s price to Rs. 13,499. The Nokia 6 3GB RAM variant is now available for purchase at a reduced price of Rs. 12,999 (approx. $200) after another price cut of Rs. 500.
At this time, it is not yet clear if this price cut is for a limited time only or permanent. Earlier this year, HMD Global launched the Nokia 6 4GB RAM variant for Rs. 16,999 and its price remains unchanged.
The Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels screen resolution and a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor.
In the camera department, the phone comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera sensor and an 8-megapixel front camera sensor – both come with a f/2.0 aperture lens. It packs 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage with microSD card slot for expanding the storage capacity.
While the Nokia 6 was launched with Android Nougat operating system out-of-the-box, it recently received Android Oreo update. The phone features a front-facing fingerprint sensor and is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.
The Nokia 6 2018, which is expected to get launched in India today, comes with 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor. It packs 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage with expansion support of up to 256GB.
