Samsung’s market share in China and India is steadily declining. Xiaomi has dethroned Samsung to capture the numero uno position in India and in China, the South Korean company has a dismal market share of less than 1 percent. The firm is well aware of it and it seems to have some strategy to regain its popularity in China. Fresh information reveals that Samsung is planning to launch Galaxy S8 Lite and Galaxy A8 Star smartphones to target the Chinese audience.

In the previous month, a mysterious Samsung phone with model number of SM-G8750 was spotted at Geekbench. Earlier in this month, another unidentified Samsung phone with model number SM-G8850 was certified by TENAA and the same phone was earlier spotted at AnTuTu benchmarking platform. Initial rumors had claimed that these phones could two variants of the rumored Galaxy S9 Mini. New information shared a popular leakster from China reveals that the SM-G8750 and SM-G8850 will be respectively launching as Galaxy S8 Lite and Galaxy A8 Star. Both the smartphones are expected to arrive Infinity Display design.

Recent reports have revealed that the Galaxy S8 Lite and Galaxy A8 Star are both fueled by Snapdragon 660 SoC. The Geekbench listing of the SM-G8750 Galaxy S8 Lite had revealed that it has 4 GB of RAM and it is loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo.

The TENAA listing of the SM-G8850 Galaxy A8 Star has revealed that it has 6.28-inch Super AMOLED display that supports Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels. The SoC of the phone is supported by 4 GB of RAM. It has a 3,700mAh battery. The rear side of the phone features a vertical dual camera setup that includes a 16-megapixel sensor and a 24-megapixel sensor. It has a selfie snapper of 24-megapixel.
