After huge demand from the public, HMD Global released the global version of the Nokia X6 back in July to sell it worldwide and called it the Nokia 6.1 Plus. Now, it is finally the moment for the new mid-ranger to go on sale in the Indian peninsula. Until now, the handset was on pre-orders for about a week: tomorrow at 12 PM local time it will be officially available to purchase in India through the known online store Flipkart and the Indian version of Nokia official store. The price tag of the handset will be Rs. 15,999 which roughly translates into $226 or about €193.

It will be possible to grab the Nokia 6.1 Plus in three color variants on Flipkart: Black, Blue, and White, while there will be more colors on the official site. But there will be only one memory configuration available: the one with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, as the global version has only been launched in this configuration. Nokia 6.1 Plus is equipped with an elegant glass back and an aluminum frame. On the front panel, it has a bezel-less notched display with a 5.8-inch size, a 19:9 aspect ratio and a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels.

Inside the device, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset with a max clock frequency of 1.8 GHz. The main camera is a dual sensor with 16 and 5 MP resolutions, f/2.0 and f/2.4 apertures respectively. The front camera has a 16 MP resolution as well and the same f/2.0 aperture as the primary rear sensor. At last, there is a battery with a capacity of 3060 mAh which can be charged quickly thanks to the Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

What do you think about Nokia 6.1 Plus? Will it cannibalize the sales of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and other SD636-powered devices in the Indian market?
