Realme has scheduled a launch event on 28th November where the company will launch its first smartphone under the U-series of phones — Realme U1. The launch event will be live streamed on various social media platforms at 12:30 PM IST. It is also confirmed that the Realme U1 will be available for purchase in India exclusively through Amazon India. The phone’s landing page on Amazon India reveals that the device will come with “the most powerful selfie camera ever”.

The landing page also confirms that the phone’s display will have a dewdrop notch on top, similar to what we’ve seen on the Realme 2 Pro. As earlier confirmed, the phone will be powered by MediaTek Helio P70 12nm octa-core processor, with a high-resolution depth engine, faster multi-frame noise reduction shot, anti-blooming engine, and accurate AI detection.

According to the rumors, the phone could feature a 6-inch display with Full HD+ screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. With dewdrop notch, we are expecting a screen-to-body ratio of over 90 percent. We also expect the phone to have multiple variants based on the memory configuration.

Earlier, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth hinted about the possibility of VOOC fast charging support for its upcoming smartphone, so there’s a good chance that the Realme U1 could be the company’s first smartphone to support VOOC fast charging technology.
