Huawei has recently confirmed that it will be launching the Mate 30 series of flagship phones on Sept. 19 in Munich, Germany. PriceBaba has teamed up with reputed tipster OnLeaks to share renders of the upcoming Huawei Mate 30 Pro smartphone. It has also shared the key specs of the smartphone.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro Renders

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro renders show that it will be boasting a premium design as it features a glass rear like the predecessor Mate 20 Pro smartphone from last year. The rear panel has a new circular housing for the quad cameras that are arranged in 2 x 2 grid. The left corner of the rear shell has the unit for the dual LED flash, a sensor and Leica brand name.

The Mate 20 Pro measures around 158.1 x 73.6 x 8.7mm and the thickness of the device increases to nearly 9.7mm at the camera bump. The front panel of the phone features a display with reduced notch. Since the curved edges of the screen appears to flow over the sides, it is dubbed as ‘waterfall’ display. The tipster has claimed that the exact size of the screen could not be measured because of the curved edges. However, it is speculated that it could be sporting a 6.6-inch display. The reduced notch could be equipped with as many as three front-facing cameras and some other sensors. The publication did not confirm whether the phone supports 3D face unlock. Also, there is no confirmation on whether it is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

There are no volume buttons on the device and the power key can be seen on the right edge. There could be a touch-sensitive area above the power button for controlling the volume. The bottom edge of the phone is equipped with a SIM tray, a USB-C port and an external speaker. An IR blaster and microphone can be found on the topside of the device.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro Specifications (Rumored)

Rumors surrounding the Mate 30 Pro has reveled that it will be fueled by Kirin 990 chipset that includes a 5G modem. The new SoC is expected to go official at the IFA 2019 tech trade show on Sept. 6. The camera setup of the Mate 30 Pro could include a pair of 40-megapixel lenses, an 8-megapixel lens and a 3D ToF sensor. It could be housing a 4,500mAh battery that carries support for 55W rapid charging and 25W fast charging. The phone will be running on Android, but it may not feature Google apps because of the ongoing trade ban imposed by US.

OnLeaks has claimed that since the above renders are based on a tricky CAD, it may not be completely accurate.
