Xiaomi introduced Civi lineup of smartphones last year which is more focused on the design and front-facing camera. Now, the company is gearing up to launch a new Civi-series smartphone in the Chinese market.

The company is all set to launch the Xiaomi Civi S, which is an iterative version of the first generation Civi and not a second-generation device. Tipster Digital Chat Station has now shared information about the phone’s launch and availability.

It is being said that the Xiaomi Civi S smartphone will be launched later this month and will be available for purchase in the Chinese market from next month. However, the exact dates have not been revealed yet.

As for the design, the smartphone is expected to be similar to the Xiaomi 12 but will have a focus on the device being thin and light as well as a better front-facing camera sensor.

A previous leak reveals that the phone will feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED LTPO curved edge display that offers a Full HD+ screen resolution and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC.

It could come packed with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone is likely to be running the Android 12 operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own MIUI custom interface on top.

In the camera department, the Civi S will have a triple-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 64-megapixel Samsung GW3 primary camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel B&W camera.

On the front side, the device will have a 32-megapixel Sony IMX616 snapper for taking selfies and video calling. The phone will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery and have support for 67W or 55W fast charging.
