Earlier this month, Motorola announced the Moto G42 in Brazil and Europe. Reports have claimed that the device will be released in India. A fresh leak by tipster Yogesh Brar has revealed the launch date of the Moto G42 for India.

According to Brar, the Moto G42 will break cover on July 4 in India. Hence, it is likely that the first teasers of the G42 will appear in the next few days in the country. Like the other Motorola phones, the G42 could be available for purchase through Flipkart.
At present, there is no word on the price of the Moto G42 for India. It will probably be probably priced at around Rs 15,000 (~$191) in the country. The device may come in rose and green colors.
Moto G42 specifications
The Motorola Moto G42 has a 6.4-inch AMOLED display that offers an FHD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 680 chipset and up to 6 GB of RAM.
The Moto G42 is packed with a 5,000 mAh battery that carries support for 18W rapid charging. On the front, it features a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Its back panel has a 50-megapixel main snapper, which is coupled with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
The G42 comes preloaded with the Android 12 OS and MyUX. The device offers up to 128 GB of built-in storage. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint reader.
In related news, Motorola is gearing up to launch new flagship phones in China. Next month (July) could see the arrival of the Motorola Edge X30 Pro and the Motorola Razr 3. Both devices are likely to feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform.
