After teasing for days, Motorola has finally launched the Moto S30 Pro in China. The latest upper mid-range smartphone from the Lenovo-owned brand was announced alongside the Moto Razr 2022 and Moto X30 Pro. For the unaware, the event was initially scheduled for August 2 but it got postponed to today.

Motorola Moto S30 Pro Specifications

The Motorola Moto S30 features a metal frame with either a layer of Corning Gorilla 6 on its back or a leather finish. It measures around 7.45mm in thickness and weighs about 167.

The device flaunts a 6.55-inch centered punch-hole 10-bit curved OLED display with FHD+ resolution, up to 144Hz refresh rate, and 360Hz touch sampling. There’s support for HDR10+, DCI-P3 color gamut, DC dimming, and SGS-certified low blue light mode.

The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset paired with LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and VC liquid cooling system. It boots MyUI based on Android 12 and supports Ready For 3.5.

It houses a triple camera system on the rear comprising a 50MP OmniVision OV50A primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide unit with auto-focus for macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has a 32MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

The handset arrives with dual stereo species and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. Last but not least, it is backed by a 4,270mAh battery with support for 68W fast wired charging.

The Motorola Moto S30 Pro will retail at the following price tags in China.

  • 8GB + 128GB – ¥2,199 ($326)
  • 12GB + 256GB – ¥2,699 ($401)
  • 12GB + 512GB – ¥2,899 ($430)

The smartphone will be available for purchase starting tonight at 8 PM. For a limited time, all the variants will be discounted by ¥200. It can be availed in either black (glass) or blue (leather) color options.

The Moto S30 Pro is expected to launch in international markets as Motorola Edge 30 Fusion.
