Today, Redmi took to its Weibo handle to confirm that the Redmi Note 12 series will be unveiled this month (October) in China. The company confirmed that the Note 12 will be equipped with the world’s first two new technologies without sharing details on it.
It seems that the Redmi Note 12 series will have the world’s first smartphone powered by the Dimensity 1080 chipset. In addition, it is likely to carry support for up to 210W fast charging. It could be slightly faster than the iQOO 10 Pro’s 200W fast charging technology.
It seems that Redmi will confirm the launch date as well as the key features of the Redmi Note 12 series in the next few days. Rumors are rife that the upcoming Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro+ will arrive with support for 67W, 120W, and 210W charging. The lineup may also include a fourth model called the Redmi Note 12 Pro Ultra. Unfortunately, nothing is known about this device.
Rumors are rife that the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Pro+ will feature the Dimensity 1080 chipset. The lineup is said to offer features like an AMOLED display, a 50-megapixel main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.
The October-end arrival of the Redmi Note 12 series is a good hint that the brand is aiming to take advantage of the upcoming Double 11 (November 11) shopping festival in China. This day is also known as Singles’ Day in the country. As far as the global launch is concerned, the Note 12 family may land in markets outside China in Q1 2023.
