Leaked information that surfaced around two weeks ago revealed that the Apple iPhone SE 4 would sport a design similar to the iPhone XR. However, display analyst Ross Young has claimed (via. Macrumors) that the iPhone SE 4’s display size has not been finalized yet. It appears that the Cupertino-based company is mulling over different display sizes for the iPhone SE 4.

The existing iPhone SE is equipped with an LCD panel. According to a recent report, the iPhone SE 4’s design will be similar to the iPhone XR, which debuted back in 2018. Hence, it is equipped with a notched display on the front and a single camera with an LED flash on the back. To recall, the iPhone XR featured a 6.1-inch IPS LCD display.

For the iPhone SE 4, Apple is reportedly considering 5.7-inch to 6.1-inch LCD panels from two suppliers, as well as a 6.1-inch OLED panel from two suppliers. Hence, it is unclear whether the iPhone SE 4 will feature a 5.7-inch or a 6.1-inch display with OLED or LCD technology.

Other reports have claimed that the iPhone SE 4 could be the company’s first phone with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Renders of the iPhone SE 4 that surfaced last month showed that it might still have a Lightning port.

The fourth-generation iPhone SE may come equipped with the Apple A15 or the latest A16 Bionic chip. Like the current iPhone SE, the device may arrive in black, white, and red colors. Rumors are rife that the iPhone SE 4 will break cover by early 2023.
