Oppo Reno 9 Pro+ has been launched in China. The device has gone official alongside its other siblings, namely the Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro. While the Reno 9 and 9 Pro are powered by the Snapdragon 778G and Dimensity 8100 chipsets, the Reno 9 Pro+ features the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, which is a flagship chipset. In addition, it is the first Reno-series phone to arrive with support for Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) onboard. Oppo Reno 9 Pro+ Specifications and Features
The OPPO Reno 9 Pro+ houses a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 2160 2160Hz PWM dimming. The screen has curved edges and a punch-hole in the centre at the top. The same screen is available on the Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro.
On the front, the Reno 9 has an autofocus-enabled 32-megapixel (Sony IMX709) selfie camera. The back panel of the device has an OIS-assisted 50-megapixel primary camera (Sony IMX890). It is coupled with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel mono lens, and an LED flash. The Reno 9 Pro+ is also equipped with a MariSilicon chip for capturing brighter and clear shots in low-light conditions. The device carries support for 60fps 4K video recording.
The Reno 9 Pro+ has the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset onboard, which clocks at 2.99GHz. It is lower than its usual processing speed of 3.19GHz. The SoC is paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Pro+ draws power from a 4,700mAh battery, which supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The Reno 9 Pro+ comes preloaded with Android 13, which is overlaid with ColorOS 13. The device is equipped with other features like dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, IR blaster, dual stereo speakers, and a USB-C port.
OPPO Reno 9 Pro+ price and availability
The Reno 9 Pro+ has arrived in China in two configurations. Its 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage is priced at 3,999 Yuan (~$559), whereas the 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage edition costs 4,399 Yuan (~$615). It comes in three colours gold, green, and black. The first sale of the device will be carried out on Dec. 2 in China.
