Samsung Galaxy M04 has been announced in India. It is an entry-level offering that comes with up to 8 GB of RAM, which includes the company’s RAM Plus feature. It has a large internal storage space and a big battery. Even though it is an entry-level phone, Samsung will be providing it with two years of OS updates.

The Samsung Galaxy M04 has a 6.5-inch PLS LCD that offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The back panel of the device has a 13-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and an LED flash.

The Galaxy M04 is powered by the Helio P35 chipset and has 4 GB of RAM. It offers up to 4 GB of RAM Plus (virtual RAM) and 128 GB of built-in storage. It comes with a microSD card slot for additional storage. The device comes preinstalled with the OneUI-based Android 12 OS. The 2-year OS upgrade promise from Samsung confirms that it will receive up to an Android 14 OS update.

The M04 houses a 5,000mAh battery that supports only 10W charging. On the connectivity front, the handset offers features like dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. In the absence of a fingerprint scanner, the M04 offers users face unlock biometric recognition feature. The specs of the device reveal that it is a rebranded version of the Galaxy A04e, which debuted in the global market recently.

The Galaxy M04 is priced at Rs 8,499 (~$104) in India. It comes in black and green colour variants. The first sale of the device is scheduled to take place at 12 pm (local time) on Dec. 16 via Samsung India’s website and Amazon.
