Earlier today, Honor unveiled Honor 90 and Honor 90 Pro affordable premium smartphones in China. Alongside these handsets, the brand also announced a new pair of truly wireless earphones.

Officially called Honor Earbuds X5, the budget TWS is similar to the recently launched Oppo Enco R2. In other words, the product only comes with basic features and lacks ANC (Active Noise Cancellation).

Honor Earbuds X5

The Honor Earbuds X5 are half-in-ear (aka open ear) wireless earbuds. The charging case resembles a pebble, while the buds look like Apple AirPods.

The accessory arrives in Glaze White and Coral Pink color options. It is priced at ¥299 ($40) and will go on sale from June 7.

The buds feature 13.4mm drivers and connect via Bluetooth. They support multipoint connection, and therefore, they can remain connected to two devices at a time and switch between them.

The earbuds can be seamlessly paired with Honor smartphones. They are compatible with Honor AI Space app for management.

Using the application, users can play with equalizer and other options. They can even locate the buds via the app.

The buds support touch controls and ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) for calls. Last but not least, they are rated to last for 27 hours on a full charge (with charging case).

Currently, it is not known if and when the Honor Earbuds X5 will be released in global markets.
