Smartwatch maker Huami, also known as Zepp, has launched a new iteration of the Amazfit T-Rex 2 smartwatch. The new model is dubbed Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue Limited Edition and is launched to commemorate the World Ocean Day which is celebrated on June 8, this year. The brand is hoping to support environmental sustainability efforts with the launch as it has promised to donate $10 for every watch sold to the non-profit environmental organization Coral Guardian to support coral ecological projects in Indonesian marine protected areas.

The design of the new edition is inspired by the love for the beauty of nature and the glorious deeds of adventurers who have explored the seven oceans. The strap and packaging are developed with 100% environmentally friendly materials, which can be naturally degraded when disposed of.

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 was first launched last year packing a 1.39-inch AMOLED colorful display. The bezel of the watch body adopts a scratch-resistant metal spraying process while the side of the watch body adopts a new anti-sediment bridge design. The watch also has 4 large stainless steel metal buttons that have been sandblasted and etched. As for the strap, it is made of antibacterial silicone material.

This watch is equipped with a 500mAh battery, which can achieve 24 days of battery life. It supports the five global satellite positioning systems of Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS, and has added a new L5 frequency band, which can reduce ionospheric and ground multipath errors and improve the external environment. The T-Rex 2 also passed military standard certification, supports low-temperature operation at -30°C, has up to 100m waterproof capabilities, and supports more than 150 sports modes.

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue Limited Edition is currently only available in some regions.
