Learning from its competitors like Samsung and Honor, OnePlus and Oppo are finally here with inbuilt support for Microsoft Phone Link for cross-device connectivity. With OxygenOS 14 and ColorOS 14, the new feature will surely benefit the OnePlus users who often find it difficult to drag and drop files and sync messages and photos across a Windows machine and your phone.

OnePlus running Color OS 14 in China is also receiving support for Microsoft Phone Link Integeration.

OnePlus / Oppo + Microsoft Phone Link Integration

However, the support was already there as a third-party app, but this time Phone Link is seamlessly integrated with OxygenOS 14 and ColorOS 14 for more intuitive cross-device experiences. It will be “redefining how you work on anything, from anywhere, with any device.”

The users can set up the OnePlus device on new as well as Old Windows PCs by scanning a QR code. A quick setup will hardly take more than a minute, and the users will be able to enjoy some elevated features of the Windows Phone Link app.

Apart from managing photos, and notifications, replying to messages, and receiving calls, the integration will also enable the users to interact with the mobile apps using a PC. It will mirror apps side-by-side, paving the way to save time rather than picking up your phone again and again. Further, it supports direct display mirroring with your phone. It even supports cross-device copy-and-paste sync.

In the coming days, we expect instant hotspot support for the OnePlus devices too, as it is already available for Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

OxygenOS 14 and ColorOS 14 bring several other important features like File Dock, Notes 2.0, and Smart Cutout to enhance productivity and usability across the OnePlus smartphones.
