After Realme Narzo N55, Realme C55, and Realme 10 Pro 5G in recent days, Realme is pushing the Realme UI 5.0 Early Access Program for Realme 10 Pro+ 5G smartphones in India. Alongside the company’s flagship smartphones, the updates are also live for mid-range smartphones. Regarded as a big smartphone available at a small price, the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G is finally receiving the Android 14 update, but currently, it bundles some bugs and issues.

Realme UI 5.0 Features on Realme 10 Pro+ 5G

It brings several new enhancements, and features that will surely enable performance increases, enhanced security, and privacy for users’ data. It aims to enhance efficiency, as the new File Dock app feature simplifies the content transfer between apps and devices. There are several other changes, including seamless connectivity and a new Auqmorphics design. Below is the official changelog for Realme 10 Pro+ 5G Realme UI 5.0 Beta Program:

• Adds File Dock, where you can drag and drop to transfer content between apps and devices.

• Improves Shelf by adding more widget recommendations.

【Security and privacy】

• Improves photo and video-related permission management for safer access by apps.

【Performance optimisation】

• Improves system stability, the launch speed of apps and the smoothness of animations.

【Aquamorphic Design】

• Upgrades Aquamorphic Design with a natural, gentle and clearer colour style for a more comfortable colour experience.
• Adds Aquamorphic-themed ringtones and revamps the system notification sounds.
• Improves system animations by making them even smoother.

【User Care】

• Adds a carbon tracking AOD that visualises the carbon emissions you avoid by walking instead of driving.

Realme UI 5.0 Known Issues

Being a beta build, it does come with some issues and bugs. The Glance Lock Screen is not available on the new build, and the floating windows may get hung, and the user has to pull down the status bar to fix it.

Steps to Join Realme UI 5.0 Early Access Program

Prerequisites:

  • Make sure your phone has at least 15 GB of free storage.
  • Your Device should not be rooted
  • Backup important data from the device
  • Third-party applications may not work perfectly.
  • It may impact daily usage and affect battery life for a couple of days until the phone gets used to the new software.

Steps:

  1. Charge your battery at least up to 60%.
  2. Now, update the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G phone to the RMX3686_11_A.36 firmware.
  3. Apply for the Early Access program by heading to Settings → About device → Click on the “realme UI 4.0” banner at the top → Click on the three dots in the top right corner → Beta program →Early Access →Apply Now → Submit

Once applied, you may get the update shortly with firmware RMX3686_14.0.0.80 (EX01). The users have the option to roll back the Udapte if they find it difficult to use. However, we don’t recommend using a smartphone as their daily driver. It may cause inconvenience while being used.
