Xiaomi has introduced the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro smartphone in China, with indications it may soon be available in India. In addition to the smartphone, there’s news of Xiaomi planning to release a new set of earbuds, which could be the Xiaomi Buds 5. These earbuds have been discovered (via TheTechOutlook) on several certification sites, including the FCC, under the model number M2341E1, hinting at an imminent launch.

The FCC listing provides some specifics about the Xiaomi Buds 5, revealing that they will operate in a frequency range of 2400 MHz to 2483.5 MHz and feature a PIFA antenna with an impedance of 50 Ohms. The listing reveals that the earbuds measure 17.18mm x 20.17mm x 30mm, while the case measures 53.2mm x 24.5mm x 53.93mm, with a total weight of 44.7g for both the earbuds and their case.

Other than the FCC database, the Xiaomi Buds 5 has been sighted on other certification platforms such as SDPPI, SIRIM, and CMIIT, which hints at the possibility of an imminent global launch. While detailed features and specifications of the earbuds remain under wraps, we can take a look at the Xiaomi Buds 4 to get an idea of what to expect from the successor.
